Mumbai, September 29, 2023: Ahead of Mumbai’s most cherished Ganpati festivities, Growel’s 101 Mall organised an ‘Eco-friendly Ganpati Making Workshop’ for Kids. The workshop was a tremendous success, offering young participants a unique opportunity to embrace creativity while fostering a sustainable mindset.

In a world increasingly focused on environmental preservation, Growel’s 101 Mall took this small step to encourage eco-friendly celebrations for one of Mumbai’s most beloved festivals. The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from children and their families, making it a remarkable event promoting eco-conscious festivities.

Participants were provided eco-conscious materials like natural clay to create their eco-friendly Ganpati idols, thereby reducing their environmental footprint. The activity featured artists and instructors who guided and inspired young participants, ensuring the creation of beautiful and sustainable Ganpati idols.

Children engaged in discussions about the significance of sustainability, conservation, and responsible celebrations, learning about their role in protecting our planet. In addition to crafting their Ganpati idols, children learned about the festival’s importance and its cultural significance. At the end of the workshop, each child took home their very own eco-friendly Ganpati idol.

Speaking about the activity, Gerald Mathew, General Manager Growel’s 101 Mall, said, “Such initiative aligns perfectly with our commitment to sustainability and community engagement. The workshop was a reminder that traditional celebrations can seamlessly coexist with environmental responsibility, creating a harmonious and sustainable future for all. It was heartening to witness our young participants enthusiastically participating and learning to be environmentally responsible while nurturing their creativity.”
