Paytm Payment Gateway becomes industry first player to enable merchants with Alternate ID based Guest Checkout solution

One97 Communications Limited that owns the brand Paytm, India’s leading payments and financial services company and the pioneer of QR and mobile payments, today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Paytm Payments Services Limited, has become the first in the industry to enable merchants with Alternate ID (ALT ID) based Guest Checkout solution across networks. This allows customers to checkout as a guest without saving sensitive card details on an ecommerce/merchant website for a transaction.

The Guest Checkout solution cuts down the long process of signing up for an account on the merchant website by sharing additional information and makes purchases faster. To enable ALT ID transactions, Paytm has integrated with card networks to generate alternate ID for guest checkout transactions.

Guest checkout solution enhances cardholders safety in an online transaction and protects from potential data breaches. The solution creates an Alternate ID for customers, wherein he will enter his complete card details to process a transaction instead of entering account details and password for an occasional purchase. This solution eliminates the risk of data breach as until now these card details were being passed to subsequent entities in the transaction flow to authorize and process the transaction. Also, Paytm offers an easy integration to enable this service on merchants’ websites.

The solution meets RBI’s guidelines as the regulator had mandated that entities involved in card transaction processing cannot save sensitive card credentials for guest checkout transactions, and that the card number has to be replaced by an Alternate ID associated with card information, by October 31, 2023.

Canon Launches new 4K remote PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) camera systems for video capture

10th October 2023: Reinforcing its commitment to the video production and broadcasting segment, Canon India, one of the leading digital imaging solution companies, launched its all-new innovative range of remote PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) cameras at the 32nd Broadcast India Show being held at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai from 8-10th October 2023. The new launches include the indoor CR-N100 remote PTZ camera and the outdoor, CR-X300 and CR-X500 remote PTZ cameras, that come with exceptional quality & connectivity supporting a wide range of broadcasting avenues such as conference, sports broadcast, wild animal observation, theme parks and indoor event spaces. Besides, the brand is showcasing its flagship cutting-edge cinematography and broadcasting range including its complete gamut of offerings of camera solutions from Cinema, ProDV, Mirrorless, Network visual solutions, along with RF lenses and Cinema Lenses through experiential booth concepts while holding engaging technical sessions led by Canon Masters.

Grander than ever, Canon’s four-sided booth was inaugurated by Mr. Manabu Yamazaki, President and CEO, Canon India along with renowned cinematographer and Cinema EOS Ambassador, Mr. Santosh Sivan. With its array of offerings for the cinema segment and its newly-launched innovations poised to deliver advanced video production, Canon India reinforces its legacy as a one stop solution for all production centric verticals and positions itself as the ideal choice for today’s new-age broadcasting, filmmaking (Cinema, OTT, Documentaries, Music albums), efficient streaming solution, electronic news gathering, general entertainment channels, Fashion, Wildlife, Weddings and Vlogging requirements.

To showcase the prowess of its vast technology, three engaging product experience zones have been set up by the brand including the Cinema booth, Professional Video Camera booth and Network Visual Solutions booth. Demonstrating key scenarios, the booth entails 8 different settings across the three days to highlight the versatility of Canon imaging technology and product potential. These settings are being led by actors with demarcated scripts and real time shooting scenarios in the space of Reality shows, OTT, Cinema and News broadcast.
