Kolkata, 1st June 2024: École Intuit Lab, a reputed design school from Paris, in partnership with Techno India University, commenced its annual student exhibition, showcasing the extraordinary creations of its talented students. Situated in the heart of Sector V, Kolkata, this state-of-the-art campus marks École Intuit Lab’s second campus in India and is currently in its fourth year.

The exhibition named “UNIT” is a spectacular display of innovation and creativity. Each year, students are encouraged to explore and present an original theme for the exhibition, pushing the boundaries of design and artistry. This year’s theme, “Multiverse,” invites attendees to journey through a myriad of dimensions and alternate realities, offering a unique perspective on the limitless potential of design.

“The students of École Intuit Lab, Kolkata in partnership with Techno India University have a truly unique method of showcasing their creations at the end of their academic year. While most exhibitions are about art pieces, this one allows the students to create conceptual physical installations to make the entire experience all the more immersive for the viewer. Each year the students decide on a specific theme, which is then brought to light through their art installations. This year they’ve decided to dabble with the idea of “multiverses” by making each gallery/room about a specific type of universe. If anyone has watched some of the Marvel films or even “Into the Spider-Verse” will know what this means when it comes to artistic expression. India, 1st June 2024  Cashaa, a prominent neo-bank in crypto businesses, announces that its Founder and CEO, Kumar Gaurav, has stepped down from his position. While Kumar has not yet disclosed his immediate plans, it is anticipated that he is preparing for even greater endeavors. Under Kumar’s leadership, Cashaa evolved from a Bitcoin startup into a major player in the banking sector for crypto and high-risk businesses. His departure marks the end of an era at Cashaa, characterised by groundbreaking innovations.

The account will focus on increasing the adoption of Cashaa’s native token, CAS. The company has already begun the corporate restructuring for the release of its global Cashaa account.

Kumar Gaurav began his career as an Engineer and in 2012, he developed the navigation system for Ferrari. Later he worked as an IT Manager for Molina e Bianchi Industries (2014-2016) while pursuing a Master’s in Management from Politecnico di Milano. During his master’s, he also co-founded the first Italian peer-to-peer insurance company called Darwinsurance which was later acquired by Esedra, one of the biggest Italian insurance brokers.

He also established the Auxesis Group in 2014, driving blockchain innovation in partnership with governments and top Fortune companies.

In 2016, with the mission to bring the benefit of Bitcoin to the masses, he created Cashaa. His goal was to provide low-cost financial solutions for people living abroad, who were often overcharged by traditional money transfer companies. He harnessed Bitcoin arbitrage to enable fee-free cash transfers, reaching over 172 cities. Despite initial challenges and limited banking access, Kumar led Cashaa through remarkable milestones.

In 2017, he received an extraordinary status (O-1) from the USA for his contributions to blockchain technology. Subsequently, Cashaa released a white paper on an evolved and inclusive financial system, raising over $30 million while maintaining strict AML compliance. In 2019 Cashaa started issuing accounts to unbanked crypto businesses and by 2021 it had one of the biggest communities of crypto business including industry leaders such as Binance, Polygon, Litecoin, Kraken, and hundreds more.

Kumar has also been recognized with other accolades, including being listed among the Top 100 Most Influential People in Blockchain by Rise Global (2016-2018) and being nominated among the ‘World’s Top 50 Innovators’ by the UK. In 2021, he was honored as the Best Crypto Entrepreneur in the Middle East at the UAE-India Partnership Summit and received the Golden Excellence Award in 2023 from H.E. Chennai, 1st June 2024 : MGM Cancer Institute, a leading cancer care facility in Chennai, has announced the successful completion of a critical surgical procedure to remove a 30cm cancerous tumor from a 30-year-old patient from West Bengal. The surgery was performed by the RECNAC team at MGM Cancer Institute, including Dr. Balaji Ramani, Dr. Sivakumar Mahalingam, Dr. Sivaram Ganeshmoni, and Dr. Dhanasekar Padmanabhan, Surgical Oncologists at the institute.

The patient was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a rare cancer that typically affects the bones and surrounding soft tissues, most commonly found in children and young adults. Previously, the patient had undergone two tumor removal surgeries and two cycles of chemotherapy at a private hospital in Kolkata, but the tumor recurred, growing into a massive fungating mass that compressed his shoulder and arm.

Facing a recommendation for tumor excision and left limb amputation from his previous doctors, Mr. Subhan Ray (Named Changed) sought a second opinion at MGM Cancer Institute as a last resort. The RECNAC team at MGM Cancer Institute examined the patient, analyzed the tumor using complex 3D reconstruction imaging and then decided to undertake the challenging task of removing the tumor without causing harm to the arm. Along with the patient’s weakened condition and low hemoglobin levels, further evaluation revealed that the tumor was very close to essential vessels and nerves offering only a slim chance to save the limb.

With the assistance of Dr. Sabari Girish, Lead Plastic Surgeon at MGM Cancer Institute, the RECNAC team successfully resected the tumor completely, preserving the patient’s left arm using flap reconstruction technique.

Dr. Balaji Ramani, Senior Consultant in Surgical Oncology at MGM Cancer Institute, commented on the complexity of the surgery: “This is a rare case. Despite undergoing two previous tumor removal surgeries and chemotherapy, the tumor continued to grow, bleed, and became a large fungating mass. The patient could no longer undergo chemotherapy sessions. Believing limb removal was the only option, the patient and his family had lost hope. We advised one last surgery to remove the tumor before it could affect the bones. We meticulously planned the surgery using advanced 3D imaging techniques, and were able to completely remove the tumor without amputating the limb.”

Expressing his gratitude, the patient said, “I am incredibly thankful to the entire team at MGM Cancer Institute. Their expertise and compassion have given me a new lease on life. I am optimistic about my recovery and look forward to resuming my usual activities.”

This case underscores the importance of early detection and the availability of advanced medical treatment options for rare cancers like Ewing Sarcoma.
