New Delhi, April 21, 2023: Mobile connectivity, internet banking, gender issues, and empowering women were debated threadbare at a conference hosted by Grameen Foundation India (GFI) here on April 19.

The conference, themed “Driving Financial Inclusion in India’s Hinterland”, was organized in partnership with Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The conference promoted collaborative innovation to empower communities, particularly women, for a sustainable financial future in India’s hinterland.

Grameen also presented four knowledge products to the audience based on their previous work and future recommendations for the industry, namely, Gender Mainstreaming in BC Networks: Grameen’s I-CARE Framework, Exploring the effectiveness of low-cost marketing strategies in BC Networks, Assisted e-commerce and ONDC: A new revenue source for BC Agents in India, and Women Friendly Micro Saving Products.

New Delhi, April 20, 2023: Jakson Green, endorsed by India’s leading energy & Infrastructure conglomerate, Jakson Group, announced today that the company is developing a Green Hydrogen fuelling station at Badarpur, New Delhi for a major power company in India. Set to be built in record time, the project is expected to offset 3.7 tons of CO2 per day once operational.

The green hydrogen fuelling station involves the establishment of a specialized and dedicated facility that will use the green energy generated on-site by a renewable hybrid to generate, compress, store, and dispense GH, utilizing a hydrogen purification system. As a part of the project, the company will also incorporate a battery energy storage system (BESS) backed renewable hybrid power plant within the station, making it a completely self-sustained facility. Overseeing the entire facility, an advanced integrated control system using cutting-edge digital technology will also be put in place to supervise and monitor the fuelling station’s operations. The fuelling station is expected to produce 260 kg of green hydrogen per day at a pressure of 350 bar that will be utilized to fuel up to five intercity FCEV (fuel cell electric vehicle) buses.

Danimer Scientific, TotalEnergies Corbion Announce EU-Compliant Compostable Coffee Pod Biopolymer

BAINBRIDGE, Ga., April 20, 2023 – Danimer Scientific, Inc. (NYSE: DNMR) (“Danimer” or the “Company”) and TotalEnergies Corbion, both leading bioplastics companies focused on the development and production of biodegradable materials, today announced that they have developed a new compostable coffee pod biopolymer that is in compliance with proposed EU packaging regulations.

The EU recently announced a proposal requiring plastic packaging such as tea bags, coffee pods, very light plastic bags, and sticky labels for fruit and vegetables to be compostable. Danimer and TotalEnergies Corbion’s new formulations, containing a blend of Danimer’s signature polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) Nodax® and TotalEnergies Corbion’s Luminy® High Heat polylactic acid (PLA) material, have already passed biodegradability tests and have been certified by TUV as home compostable. They are currently being tested in the market by numerous European companies.

Danimer has estimated that, in the European market, 550 million pounds of plastic are used in the manufacture of single-use coffee pods annually.

The energy saved in the making of these vehicles can illuminate more than 1000 homes for a year and is equivalent to the planting of 1 lakh trees. The water-positive manufacturing set-up saves more than 20,000 kilolitres of water and can provide water for 100 homes in a year.

The creative campaign has been designed by Wondrlab India. The digital-led campaign includes two short films as well as multiple promotional and teaser campaigns that build on the element of surprise and possibilities.

We wanted to create something as refreshing as the product itself, keeping the unique tone of voice of the brand Chaayos that’s relatable and quirky at the same time. Our main campaign thought ‘Aisa Bhi Ho Sakta Hai’ allowed our imagination to go crazy and turn situations like monks performing ‘Tai Chai’ and an Astronaut landing at Chaayos into a reality.”

Rishabh Dubey, Director of these films, adds – “It was exciting to bring to life the whacky idea of characters like astronauts and monks inside the Chaayos cafe. It was also challenging to make them look as real as the drink, Chai Frappe itself.”

As an extension of the campaign, Chaayos has collaborated with several Indian brands including Sugar Cosmetics, My Glamm, Colorbar, The Hosteller, EazyDiner, Spotify, Bharat Matrimony, Walgreens, and more, encouraging them to showcase their own #AisaBhiHoSaktaHai moments in their product offerings. An influencer campaign has also been launched, sharing their real-life #AisaBhiHoSaktaHai moments, which they never thought were possible but made it happen.
