Mumbai, April 012023: JARVIS Invest, India’s first AI-based Investment advisory platform, is further expanding to Australia and has chosen Melbourne as its Oceania headquarters. After the recent expansion in the Middle East for its B2B Enterprise product, the company has chosen to expand to Australia and tap into the country’s robust tech and investment ecosystem.

The company’s expansion into Australia is a key milestone in its global expansion plans. With the support of Australian investors, JARVIS Invest will be able to deploy its AI technology to invest in India and Australia equity markets, capitalizing on market opportunities and delivering superior returns for its clients.

Founded, by Sumit Chanda in December 2016, JARVIS Invest was born out of a need to democratize portfolio management and address limitations in the equity investment model. The firm offers bespoke equity portfolio management solutions to both institutions and retail investors.

The Mumbai-based firm, JARVIS Invest, will be supported by the Government of Victoria and is poised to generate tech/AI jobs in Melbourne. Over the next three years, JARVIS Invest plans to create a total of 30 jobs in the state of Victoria. Melbourne will be the hub for Australia’s AI-based fund management platform. JARVIS Invest has launched ‘JARVIS AI Analytics’ a tech company in Melbourne, which will primarily identify potential institutions, fund houses, banks, and brokers with whom the technology will be shared.

To begin with, ‘JARVIS AI Analytics’ has partnered with a Sydney-based financial institution to manage its first fund for Australian investors. This fund will be completely AI-managed, with zero human intervention, and supported by the JARVIS AI Analytics Melbourne HQ. Targeted to institutions and family offices in Australia, the fund will be investing in diversified sectors in India – the fastest-growing economy in the world. JARVIS AI Analytics will also tie up with an independent Australian company, ‘AI Era’ to build a distribution base in Australia. This move will enable JARVIS Invest to sell its tech expertise to financial planners and self-managed super funds.

Spotify launches RADAR Tamil playlist for emerging independent artists to showcase their music

Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre adopts innovative sustainability initiatives to provide a positive hospitality experience

Hyderabad: April 01 2023: Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre (NHCC) has always prior itized long-term sustainability initiatives as a guiding principle in augmented hospitality and provide a great experience to the guests. The property is also the first hotel to use O by Aria L ife Water which is created by innovative technology which generates water from air, remineralized atmospheric water in glass bottles.

As a step to reduce its carbon footprints and increase efficiency. The hotel has installed India’s first and only dual solar power and water heater system that heats 4000 liters of water per day and produces 9 kilowatts of electricity per day significantly reducing electricity consumption. The hotel has also entered into strategic a tie-up with Orbisk which helps professional kitchens reduce food wastage and get a grip on their food consumption. Orbisk measures and automatically recognizes what kind of food is getting wasted and provides right guidance to hotel staff to improve consumption.

NHCC, through the innovative technology, will annually offset under a million litres of ground water, by supplying the hotel’s rooms, restaurants, and coffee shops having a significant environmental impact. With O by Aria LifeWater, Novotel will offset 9 lakh liters (little less than a million liters) of groundwater a year by serving the rooms, restaurants, and coffee shops in the hotel.  The dual solar system which produces 136 units of electricity each day or One hundred units, or 48960 KWh of energy, sufficient to heat 4000 litres of water. As a result, 34.6
metric tonnes less carbon dioxide (CO2) is emitted at the property. There will be 1,224,000 KWh of energy produced over the course of a solar power system’s 25-year lifespan. This results in a significant energy reduction.

Covestro expands its circular economy portfolio to all major regions

With the ISCC (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) PLUS certification of its production site in Baytown, Texas (USA), Covestro is significantly expanding the reach of its product portfolio for the circular economy. The Baytown site is the company’s largest operating facility in North and South America and its third-largest production site worldwide. This most recent achievement is significant, with all of Covestro’s major sites now certified by the internationally recognized ISCC PLUS standard. In addition to Baytown, certified sites include Leverkusen, Dormagen, Krefeld-Uerdingen (Germany), Shanghai (China), Changhua (Taiwan), Map Ta Phut (Thailand), Antwerp (Belgium), and Filago (Italy).

Covestro is the first manufacturer of polyurethane and polycarbonate raw materials to receive this certification in the United States. The certification is an important milestone for both Covestro and the industries it serves, including the automotive, construction, comfort, electronics and appliance industries, which will now have access to ISCC PLUS-certified products made from more sustainable raw materials in North America.

To underscore how the products support both the company’s vision to become fully circular and its customers’ journey to greater sustainability, Covestro has introduced a specially branded product line with the suffix “CQ”. CQ, which stands for ʺCircular Intelligenceʺ, is a portfolio of products with attribution of at least 25 percent alternative raw materials derived from biomass or recycled plastics.

Covestro is also introducing the name Evocycle® CQ for all evolutionary recycling processes.   •  Toluene diisocyanate (TDI) – is used in the production of flexible foam for the automotive and furniture industries
  •  Makrolon® RE – polycarbonate, a high-grade plastic used in the automotive, electronics and medical industries, among others
  •  Hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI), isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI), Desmodur® W and Desmodur® Z – used in various coatings and adhesive applications

Covestro expects to begin supplying select ISCC PLUS-certified products from its Baytown facility in the second half of 2023.

The products will be produced using a mass-balance approach. Sustainable raw materials will be accounted for throughout both the value chain and production process, allowing for an accurate attribution in the end products. The existing production infrastructure will be utilized while reducing the carbon footprint of the final products.

ISCC is an internationally recognized sustainability certification for biomass and bioenergy. The standard applies to all stages of the value chain and is recognized worldwide.
