Students had the opportunity to showcase their artistic skills, intellectual understanding, and sporting spirit through a plethora of events and activities, including role play, music performances, dance presentations, nukkad natak, Sanskrit karaoke, graffiti painting, short documentary/film shooting, etc. The festival resonated with moments that glistened with exceptional talent and fervour.

2nd September 2023 UKG, a prominent provider of HR and workforce solutions, has unveiled its impactful initiative, The Udaan Centre, in collaboration with Lok Bharti, a renowned vocational institution in India. This initiative is aimed at empowering women in Noida, India, by offering them a sewing machine operator training course. The course, leading to certification by the National Skill Development Corporation, equips these women for a lifelong career in India’s textile industry.

Operating six days a week with two shifts per day, The Udaan Centre caters to 50 students in each batch, providing education and skills training entirely funded by UKG. The women are instructed by qualified teachers in advanced cloth-making skills, highly sought after by export firms, ensuring their integration into the country’s workforce. Despite its soft launch during the COVID-19 pandemic, the project recently celebrated the graduation of its inaugural batch of 50 students.

The initiative’s overarching goal is to transform the lives of over 200 women annually, enabling them to attain skills for sustainable employment, bolstering self-reliance and confidence. In his keynote address, Prof. Dr. Anantha Duraiappah – Director, UNESCO MGIEP said, “Globally, 70% of kids at the age of 10 cannot read. The other major problem is mental health. There must be a quantum of social and emotional resilience. Each child has some form of learning difference. Personalized learning fundamental to UNESCO Article 26 & SDG4 has a Whole Brain approach C.A.S. E (Cognitive – working memory and executive function | Academic | Social and emotional competency as a non-academic integrated skill) – necessary condition for human flourishing. Framework for the implementation of AI for ethics and guidelines are necessary. Intergovernmental bureau on AI for education involving Government and multi-stakeholders, and even youth networks will oversee AI as a neural body. They will regulate and manage all the learning platforms. Selection of AI for different learning outcomes for generic learning; and AI for teaching should be a list AI identified, audited against ethical standards, and certified.”

The Guest of Honour, Smt. V. Karuna, I.A.S. Secretary to Government Education Department, Govt of Telangana, Chairperson, HPS- B.O.G said, “Teachers have the power to make difference in students’ lives. We need to make our children more and more relevant. The moral values have a critical role in the conflicting world. Education is also what you are as a person, how you are in your professional relationships, what responsibilities you carry as a citizen.”

The inaugural began with an invocation dance by the students followed by a plenary address by Mr. Gusti J Noria, The President of HPS Society who said “Education has evolved into a social experience, encompassing networking, passion exploration, and personality enhancement. Our teachers must embrace technology as a powerful tool for education in this digital era. Adapt. Our teachers must foster partnerships within and with other educational institutions, industries, and experts, culminating in a dynamic and pulsating learning ecosystem. Varthana raises $2.5 Mn from Symbiotics Investments to improve access to quality education in India

For the longest time, sports have been viewed to stay healthy and fit, but it is also essential for students’ overall growth and development. On the occasion of National Sports Day, to encourage and felicitate players in the country, Rabindranath Tagore University recently organized the Sports Achievers Award 2023 ceremony. At the event, P Narahari K, Secretary, MSME & Industries Commissioner, Secretary of Sports & Youth Welfare, Government of Madhya Pradesh was present as a keynote speaker. He emphasized the importance of sports in the education curriculum in our country. He also stated an example of Mr. Vivek Sagar, a member of Hoshangabad’s Olympic medal-winning team, who has been nominated as DSP. He also appreciated the initiative of RNTU to host such an event and spoke on the importance of other schools, colleges and universities of the state to moving forward with a similar thought and purpose and also mentioned that the various industries should also support through CSR activity, sponsorship and other cooperation.

Visakhapatnam:29th August 2023 Adani Gangavaram Port the deepest and the most modern port in the country as a part of its CSR program has taken a significant step in its commitment to community development by inaugurating the 1st Adani Evening Education Center (AEEC) at MPP School, Dibbapalem. This initiative is implemented in association with Adani Foundation and it aims to support more than 200 students in the first year. Participatory learning methods are being adopted to increase students’ attendance and effective learning and lead to progressive performance in academics.

The Adani Evening Education Center (AEEC) at MPP School is designed to help underprivileged students excel in their studies through engaging learning methods. It’s also a great initiative to help children and adults who discontinued their education due to personal or economic reasons to reinitiate their studies. The program’s goal is to improve attendance, learning, and academic performance. This initiative will expand to 5 villages across 2 locations in the coming months. MSU, Sikkim, in collaboration with RSB Transmissions, inaugurates the Work Integrated ITI (CTS) training programme under the Flexi MoU scheme of DGT

Pune, 29th August 2023: Medhavi Skills University (MSU), Sikkim, in collaboration with RSB Transmissions, inaugurated the Work Integrated ITI (CTS) training programme under the Flexi MoU scheme of DGT.

It is important to mention that Medhavi Skills University has earlier signed an MoU with the Directorate General of Training (DGT) to implement its Flexi MoU scheme as an Authorised Implementing University to offer on-the-job training based Flexible ITI (CTS) programme in partnership with various reputed Industries, where the students shall get ITI (CTS) Qualification certificate as well as practical work experience while deputed as trainees at the partner industry premises.

This Flexi MoU Scheme developed by the DGT, an apex regulatory body for ITIs, operating under the aegis of the Ministry of Skill Development (MSDE), Government of India, is aimed to meet the demands of both industry and youth. It enables Industries to train candidates in accordance with the relevant skill sets sought by them, and it offers students a training environment that is in line with market demands and uses the most recent technology tools and machines.

MSU has tied-up with RSB Transmissions, Pune, a reputed global Automotive manufacturing OEM company and has deputed 110 Flexi ITI Trainees as an inaugural batch.

Mr. Abhay. A. Mahishi, Deputy Director, Regional Directorate of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (RDSDE), Maharashtra, (DGT, MSDE) Government of India, was the Chief Guest at the event. Speaking at the inauguration, Mr. Pravesh Dudani, Founder & Chancellor, Medhavi Skills University, said: “The Flexi MoU Training Programme is a significant initiative by the MSU aimed at bridging the employability gap and fostering a well-trained workforce, as envisioned in the New Education Policy 2020. It is designed to offer flexible training options to enhance their technical skills and expertise along with sought after ITI CTS (NCVET) qualification“.

Mr Durga Prasana Das, Plant Head, RSB, in his speech, emphasized that the trainees should be multi-skilled and must gain hands-on experience and would be provided with role rotation every quarter of the programme. He said that the students will also be provided with a stipend as per Industry standards during the OJT period.

MSU being a UGC, NCVET, DGT & NSDC recognised University is committed to taking this Flexi MoU scheme to many Industries across the Industrial regions in India for the benefit of both the youths and the Industries. The programme is modelled under “Learn & Earn” mode which empowers youths from disadvantaged backgrounds to complete their higher education through MSU. The trainees learn on the job and are more committed to the company compared to the contractual workforce given their linkage of education to their employer which leads to lower attrition to the Industry.
