The Elekta Versa HD is among the most advanced Radiation therapy machines available globally. Bengaluru, October 18th, 2025: On World Trauma Day, HOSMAT Hospitals took trauma awareness to the streets at Hennur Crossing. A vibrant flash mob drew attention to road safety, urging the public to follow traffic rules, wear helmets, avoid speeding, and protect themselves and others from avoidable injuries.

Simultaneously, HOSMAT joined hands with Hennur Police Station and conducted a Basic Life Support (BLS) training camp for police personnel, led by Dr. Shanthi Priya, HOD of Emergency. The interactive session enabled 50+ officers from Hennur Police Station to learn vital life-saving techniques through hands-on demonstrations and practical drills.

In the first six months of 2025, over 29,000 lives were lost on India’s national highways alone  more than 50% of all fatalities from the previous year, as per data from the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways. Bengaluru saw 4,784 road accidents in 2024, with 893 people killed, revealed the same data showing the continued risk even with small improvements.

It has been noted that about 70% of vehicles involved in fatal road accidents in Bengaluru are two-wheelers — highlighting the need for helmet use and safe riding. These figures underline why interventions like flash mobs for public awareness and BLS training for front-line responders are not optional, but essential.

Bhubaneswar, October 11, 2025: AIIMS Bhubaneswar, in collaboration with the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India, successfully hosted the 2nd National Conclave on Travel Health Clinics (THCs). The two-day event concluded on Friday, bringing together health leaders, policymakers, and medical experts to discuss the critical importance of travel health in the context of increasing national and international mobility.

A Nationwide Vision for Travel Health

Delivering the inaugural address, Dr. Ashutosh Biswas, Executive Director & CEO, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, emphasized the urgent need to scale up Travel Health Clinics across the country. He proposed a hub-and-spoke model with AIIMS Bhubaneswar as the central training and coordination hub, guiding other regional clinics and enabling efficient knowledge-sharing and operational support.

“Travel medicine is no longer a luxury; it is a necessity,” Dr. Biswas stated. “In an interconnected world, strengthening travel health infrastructure ensures our preparedness for health risks that emerge beyond borders.”

One of the key highlights was a session by Dr. S. Senthilnathan, Deputy Director General (Public Health – International Health), DGHS, who explored the feasibility of in-travel medical care. Manipal, 11th October 2025: The Centre for cGMP at Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MCOPS), a constituent Institution of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), an Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University, hosted the inaugural Manipal cGMP Forum alongside the 3rd National cGMP Day celebration, marking a significant milestone in advancing pharmaceutical quality and manufacturing standards in India.

The event’s centrepiece was the release of India’s first Special Postal Cover dedicated to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)—a pioneering initiative conceived by Dr Girish Pai K, Coordinator, Centre for cGMP, MAHE, in collaboration with Sri. Bharat Shah, National President, IDMA, and Dr. George Patani, Senior Vice President, IDMA.

Thiruvananthapuram, October 10, 2025: The Department of Maternal and Fetal Medicine and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at KIMSHEALTH, in association with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), will host FETOMAT 2025 – Current Updates in Feto-Maternal Medicine, a two-day international conference dedicated to the latest advancements in maternal and fetal health. The conference will be held on October 11 and 12, 2025, at O by Tamara, Thiruvananthapuram.

With the theme “Bridging Beginnings and Beyond”, the conference reflects a commitment to holistic care; from preconception planning and pregnancy management to postpartum wellbeing; ensuring comprehensive health for both mother and child. The scientific program, structured into three sessions each day, will feature 50 expert-led topics, addressing contemporary challenges and innovations in feto-maternal medicine. A distinguished panel of national and international faculty will contribute to enriching knowledge and fostering collaborative learning.

Key highlights include panel discussions on “Late Anomalies: Detection, Dilemma, and Decision-Making” and “Evaluation of the Small Fetus”, where experts will deliberate on the role of multidisciplinary care in managing high-risk pregnancies.

The conference will also mark the launch of Kerala’s first Perinatal Mental Health Clinic in the private sector, designed to support the emotional wellbeing of expectant mothers and emphasize that mental health is as vital as physical health.

Bengaluru, 9th October 2025: Aster Volunteers Mobile Medical Services (AVMMS), in association with Aster RV Hospital, successfully organized a Mega Blood Donation Camp for residents and employees at VBHC Palmhaven Apartments, Bangalore. The initiative witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 60 generous donors, each contributing towards saving lives and supporting the healthcare system’s ongoing need for blood.

The camp was part of Aster Volunteers’ continuous efforts to promote community health and encourage citizens to participate in life-saving causes. The medical team from Aster RV Hospital ensured that the entire process was conducted under strict medical supervision, maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
