Bengaluru, Karnataka – September 16, 2024 – HOPE Foundation, a leading non-profit dedicated to empowering communities through education and employment, partnered with IQAC Department Government First Grade College to host a mega campus drive. The event, held at the GFGC college Premises, VB Layout, Krishnarajapuram, saw participation from over 50 companies and over 500 unemployed candidates aged 18-30, aiming to bridge the gap between job seekers and potential employers.

The drive was graced by a prestigious panel including Prof. Prathibha Parshwanath (Principal), Mr. Augustine Thomas and Maria Joseph (Directors of HOPE Foundation), Dr. Renuka Janbow (Coordinator, IQAC), Dr. Saraswathi (Coordinator, PG, Placement Cell), and Parthasarathi N (Coordinator, UG, Placement Cell). It also celebrated academic excellence with Ms. Ramya M.R., the First Rank holder in MA Political Science from Government First Grade College, Bangalore North University, KR Puram Bengaluru, receiving recognition for her outstanding achievement.

“The primary objective is to encourage students to complete their academic pursuits by offering tangible career prospects upon graduation,” said Prof. Prathibha Parshwanath. This initiative aims to inspire and motivate students by connecting them with potential employers.

“We are delighted to have connected over 500 talented individuals with promising job opportunities,” said Mr. Augustine, Program Director, HOPE Foundation. Their goal is to empower 5,000 youth by the end of March 2025. HOPE Foundation extends its sincere gratitude to the participating companies, the college administration, and all the candidates who contributed to this successful event.

Accor India and InterGlobe Hotels Host a Graduation Ceremony for Students

Accor India and InterGlobe Hotels, in collaboration with HOPE Foundation and InterGlobe Foundation hosted a graduation ceremony at Pullman New Delhi Aerocity to celebrate the achievements of the 2023 and 2024 batches of students from the Nursing Assistant Program, Retail, and Hospitality courses. This impactful corporate social responsibility initiative aims to provide young individuals from disadvantaged societies with employable skills. Over 130 students were awarded their NSDC certificates at the ceremony.

The association between Accor India and HOPE Foundation commenced in 2012, when the two organizations partnered to create the ‘Accor Centre of HOPE,’ a facility dedicated to helping socially and economically disadvantaged sections of society. Subsequently, InterGlobe Hotels and InterGlobe Foundation joined forces, further strengthening the impact and reach of the program. Together Accor India, and InterGlobe Hotels provided a unified program offering integrated skill development opportunities in Retail, Hospitality, and Nursing Assistant fields for underprivileged youth. These programs included three months of classroom training and three months of practical on-the-job experience, culminating in an NSDC certification and paving the way for sustainable careers for the graduates.

The training programs have been a resounding success, transforming the lives of over 220 young people from disadvantaged backgrounds with over 150 graduates being successfully employed, enabling them to overcome social and financial barriers.

Bangalore, Karnataka – July 11, 2024 – Dell Technologies and Hope Foundation today celebrated the inauguration of a new Digital Inclusion Lab at Vidhya Mandir ITI in Doorvani Nagar and an AI Training Center at T.C. Palya in Bangalore.

The inauguration ceremony marked a significant milestone for students’ computer education. Officials from the Block Educational Department, along with Dell Technologies representatives, including Ms. Archana, CSR Head, South Asia Pacific & Japan, and Hope Foundation CEO Mr. Chandra Shekar, joined the event. Mr. Shekar Mandal, AGM of ITI, and members of the Block Education Office North 4 were also present to celebrate this achievement.

The Dell Digital Inclusion Lab was formally inaugurated. The new lab aims to empower school children who study in government schools, Government aided schools, and youth with digital skills. This initiative is being done across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, NCR of Delhi, Jharkhand, Sikkim and Manipur. This initiative also enables government and aided schools to offer digital inclusion labs for their students.
