University of Essex celebrates Graduation Day ceremony in India

New Delhi, 12 March 2024: The University of Essex, a prestigious institution ranked 18th in the UK for Economics by QS World University Rankings 2023, proudly concluded its inaugural Graduation Day ceremony in India. Held at Hotel Andaz, New Delhi, the event was a significant milestone for both the university and the graduating class, with over 80 esteemed graduates, alongside their families and friends, in attendance.

The recipients of the Vice-Chancellor Awards – Sanchita Ain, Manish Michel, Ankit Mehrotra, and Anushree Srivastava – were granted a unique opportunity to engage in insightful discussions with the University’s Vice-Chancellor, enriching their educational experience and leaving a lasting impact on the University’s legacy.

As part of this mission the University of Essex is now offering extra support for Indian Masters students by launching a new health bursary to cover the cost of the UK’s immigration health surcharge for the duration of their postgraduate course. This is in addition to the University’s Academic Excellence Scholarship for India residents

Blood Donation Camp Organised at Rotary International South Asia Office

New Delhi, 11th March 2024To commemorate Rotary International’s 119th birthday, the Rotary Club of Delhi Southeast and Rotary International South Asia Office jointly organized a blood donation camp in the complex of Pullman/ Novotel Commercial Tower at Aerocity, New Delhi.

Rotary International completed 119 years on February 23, 2024. The blood donation drive was open to other offices in the vicinity along with visiting Rotary and non-Rotary members, along with the Rotary International South Asia Office staff. Nearly 60 people participated in the donation drive making it a great success.

The camp aimed to encourage and raise awareness about the importance of donating blood and to help those in need. The event received overwhelming support from the community and helped make a positive impact on society. With such initiatives, the Rotary Club of Delhi Southeast and the Rotary International South Asia Office continue to strive towards creating a better world.

FHRAI Hosts Travel for Life – Tourism Sustainability Summit 2024, signs MoUs with Indian Plumbing Association and Indian Green Building Council

New Delhi, March 11, 2024 – The Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), the world’s 3rd largest association announces the successful culmination of a one- day event “Travel for Life – Tourism Sustainability Summit 2024” held at Hotel Le-Meridien, New Delhi, on March 8, 2024. This initiative was organized with the support of Ministry of Tourism which aims to bring large-scale behavioural change amongst tourists and tourism businesses, significantly impacting environmental protection and climate action.

FHRAI forged strategic partnerships and signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with key stakeholders, during the Summit to drive sustainable initiatives within the industry. Noteworthy collaborations include an MoU between FHRAI and the Indian Plumbing Association (IPA), aimed at facilitating knowledge exchange and joint initiatives for water conservation and sustainable plumbing practices in hotels and restaurants.
