Hyderabad, 20th November 2024: Thalassaemia and Sickle Cell Society (TSCS) a registered non-profit organization has met the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri. Revanth Reddy and discussed the situation of Thalassemia in Telangana and the need for a G.O to prevent Thalassemia. MLA Makkan Singh Raj Thakur from Ramagundam, and Mr. Tej Narayan, owner of Mahalaxmi Jewellers were also present on the occasion.
During this meeting, TSCS shared the progress and impact of our Thalassemia Prevention Project, which currently spans three districts, and reminded the CM of his recent visit to our Society— a memory he warmly recalled. The Chief Minister attentively listened to the briefing on the urgent need for expanded Thalassemia prevention. He assured the society of his commitment to addressing this critical issue as a priority, conveying his determination to provide the best possible support for the cause. CM further instructed Dr. S. Sangeeta Satyanarayana, IAS – Joint Secretary to Chief Minister to provide best support.

Speaking about the meeting TSCS President Shri. Chandrakant Agarwal said, “We are extremely honoured to get this privilege of meeting our Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri. Revanth Reddy and explaining to him about the situation of Thalassemia is our state of Telangana and the need of a bill for its prevention. He has extended his best support to us for the prevention of Thalassemia in the state.. Thalassemia is an easily preventable disorder and if controlled properly it can also be eradicated. We have all been working towards children suffering with Thalassemia and understand the suffering one has to go through. We have also shared all the relevant details to the Health Ministry & Secretary for the way forward plan.”

Hyderabad, August 06, 2024: A unique travel event ‘Travernia Fest’ is planned to be held at the Hitex Exhibition Centre, Madhapur, Hyderabad in November. Conceived by travel enthusiasts of the city to build a travel community in the city.

The theme of the Travernia Fest is ‘India Travels’

The Travernia Fest will feature an expo where the travel industry will showcase tour packages, destinations and services. There will also be discussions, deliberations, cultural exchanges, workshops, gastronomical experiences, curated talks, interactions, experiences, travel quizzes and much more.

Experienced travellers, gastronomy experts, travel enthusiasts and veterans of the travel industry will take centre stage to share their experiences and knowledge.

Discussions on topics such as tourism trends, the future of tourism, technology in the tourism industry, cultural tourism, Instagrammable tourist destinations, economical travel, luxury travel, gastronomic explorations, family tourism, etc. will be focused upon.

It is said that there are approximately 70 million travel-related hashtags. Travel photos and videos generate 309% more engagement than non-travel content. Today, the young travel to destinations which allow them to create Instagram stories.

We would like to kick off the Travernia Fest to create a space for travellers who truly want to know and explore Telangana, India and the world.

The event is being curated by a travel enthusiast, eye surgeon Dr Anthony Vipin Das who has explored 45 countries and is the author of the book “Around the World in Magnets” along with writer, Ms. Vidushi Duggal and the event mastermind Vikram Muday.

The travel market in India is projected to reach USD 125 Billion by the Financial Year 2027 and International Tourist arrival is expected to reach 30.5 million by 2028. By 2029, it is expected to account for about 53 million jobs.

Hyderabad, July 1,  2024…… The SIP Regional Prodigy 2024 Telangana Contest was held on Sunday at Classic Convention Three, Shamshabad. 2100 students of 6 to 12 years from 60 centres spread across Telangana competed in the unique contest.

It was organised by India’s biggest Skill Development organisation, SIP Academy, which has a presence across 23 states, and 900 centres in India and has trained 10 lakh children in the past 21 years and it has a global presence in 12 countries across the globe.

Sibi Sekhar – Director – SIP Academy India Pvt; Mrs Nivedita Thota, MD of Shiva Ganga Group of Schools; Paanchali Dasgupta-Sahu, Principal at Birla Open Minds International School, LB Nagar; Sainath M, Executive Director, ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education Innovation & Entrepreneurship Council, President, IFHE’s IIC and Professor, IcfaiTech were guests at the competition.

Addressing the students, Ms. Nivedita Thota, the chief guest said “I see human computers working here”. You are the future. There is no world without numbers. Take any latest technology, be it Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Quantum Computing, all start with Maths. Mathematics is regarded as the queen of all Sciences. Today there is a technology in maths and maths in technology. You all are starting strong with Maths. It will give you a lot of confidence to face the world. You all seem to be enjoying maths. You seemed to have a lot of fun participating in the contest. You are having a stress-free competition. That is what the National Education Policy also suggests. You are our future.

The guest of honour Paanchali Dasgupta-Sahu unfolded the Ribbon of question paper bundle. I am amazed to see the speed at which you are all doing additions, subtractions, and multiplications. The contest is a wonderful opportunity for the kids to develop the confidence to face competition in future.

Sibi Shekhar said prodigy means extraordinary. Normally we just have a handful of prodigies, but, here everyone is a prodigy. It is a prestigious competition. It has many dimensions. Participation gives confidence and develops a competitive spirit not with others but with the self. It also develops concentration. It teaches the important lesson of practicing. Practice, practice and practice make anyone perfect. It also teaches us to handle failures. Winning and losing is part of a life. Parents must encourage kids to lose and win with the same spirit.

Speaking about their expansion Sibi Shekhar said SIP Academy aims to have 1500 centers from 900 in the next three years. The duration of the contest was 5 minutes. Before beginning the contest, the kids did a Brain Gym Exercise to maximize the potential of the child’s brain.

It was a contest of a unique kind where human calculators were action and calculated numbers faster than calculators.

The contest had a visualisation round, where kids were supposed to do maths by visualization and mental calculation without using an abacus.

The contest ended with the Concentration Round, where kids had to do maths in an environment where 100-decibel music was played in the background. Children did sums by singing and dancing without getting disturbed or distracted. It was a real fest to eyes to see so many kids enjoying maths. SIP Academy introduced this Concentration Round with Music recently which seem to be a great hit with kids.

Narsapur/ Hyderabad, March 12, 2024….. Endurance test of 47 electric buggies developed by Engineering students for a nationwide competition called eBAJA SAEIndia 24 held on Saturday at Ramachandran Puram village, near BVRIT Narsapur in the city outskirts. The competition was held in the eBAJA Category.

This event aimed to give engineering students an out-of-classroom learning experience and produce industry-ready engineers. All the 47 buggies selected for the endurance test were lined up at poll position. Sri K V Vishnu Raju, Chairman of Sri Vishnu Educational Society (SVES); Aditya Vissam is the Secretary of the Sri Vishnu Educational Society; Sanjay Nibandhe, Chairman, Organising Committee, BAHA SAEINDIA 2024; Dr Vohra is the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and The Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) Distinguished Visiting Professor flagged off the same. The balloons were also released into the air to mark the beginning of the race.

The buggies were inspected by the TI (technical inspection) team finally before the flag-off. The first round was a formation lap and after that, the actual competition began. A tough terrain with big pits, ditches, marshy ground, rubbles, water and all possible obstructions was created to make the journey very tough for the race drivers and vehicles(buggies)

The vehicles which struck were lifted with the support of tractors. They were repaired by their team and buggies were back in action. The competition gave a lot of hands-on practical experience to the students. Two teams out of 47 that qualified were BVRIT, Narsapur in Telangana and Sri Vishnu Institute of Technology for Girls from Bhimavaram.

The competition was held for the first time in Telangana. It was also the first time it was held in South India in Hyderabad at BVRIT. Though the competition has been organised for the past 17 years, it came to Hyderabad thanks to BVRIT. The competition was conducted by SAE India.

71 teams participated from various colleges from across India. Out of which 58 teams cleared technical inspection, 47 qualified in the break test; these were allowed to participate in a 2.2 km, four-hour-long endurance test on Sunday. The team that scored the maximum laps was declared the winner

A special awards presentation ceremony was organised. It was graced by Mr Gopalakrishnan VC, Director, Automotive and EV sector, with Govt. of Telangana. He gave away the awards The winners of many competitions were given prizes. The winning team of the 4-hour endurance competition were DY Patil College of Engineering, Akurdi; Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering, Pune and Sri Vishnu Institute of Engineering, Bhimavaram, were first, second and third prize winners respectively.

They addressing the gathering after the awards presentation, the Chief Guest Mr Gopalakrishnan VC, Director, Automotive and EV sector said the Govt. of Telangana said Telangana was one of the first few states in India to announce the E Mobility Policy back in 2018. The policy meant for 10 years was notified in 2020. It evoked a lot of industry interest in the last couple of years. It aimed at attracting Rs 32000 crore investments and generating 1.25 lakh jobs by the year 2030. 75% of its targets are already achieved, he informed.

Last year the state announced Telangana Mobility Valley (TMV). We aimed at Rs 50,000 crore investments in e-mobility. TMV is an infrastructure that makes Telangana a destination for manufacturing and Engineering Research and development in India. It has several pillars, one of them is skilling. On that front, you can increase your interaction with the government. We will connect you to NIT Warangal, Hyundai, BITS, Micron, and Bosch which have been working on futuristic research work in Mobility, he said.

TMV is being set by the State government to create best-in-class infrastructure making Telangana the most competitive destination for both manufacturing and ER & D in India.

We will also explore the possibility of the Government of Telangana supporting future events of eBAJA SAEINDIA in Telangana, the officer said. Speaking at the awards function Sri K V Vishnu Raju said core engineering streams must be back in demand. We as a responsible institution strive hard to treat all streams equally and all disciplines are important

Sanjay Nibandhe, Chairman, Organising Committee, BAHA SAEINDIA 2024 said Indians are well known for technology adaptation. Sumantra B Barooah, Executive Editor ET Auto who was guest of honour said this is an event to celebrate engineering talent. He admired BVRIT’s continuing core engineering branches despite the decreasing demand and said core engineering branches will never go out of fashion.

Sri Vishnu Institute of Technology, Bhimavarm was declared as the Pride of Telugu.The six-day eBAJA SAEIndia 24 will be concluded with an HR Meet (job fair) to be held on Sunday where some best Automobile companies and others will pick up the best of brains for a suitable job. Last year 123 were placed in such a meet and so far, 500 placed since the year 2018.

eBAJA is a national-level engineering student out-of-classroom education event that tested teams comprising g in each team from IITs, NITs and other best institution. The competition was about the design, fabrication and building of an all-terrain, off-road electric buggy. 72 buggies were built, And after a series of evaluation tests, 47 qualified competed in the final endurance test.
