New Delhi, 19th May,2025 – SR Industries Ltd., a legacy name in India’s footwear manufacturing landscape, has announced plans to launch its direct-to-consumer (D2C) footwear division—marking a strategic move from industrial manufacturing to consumer brand creation.

With over three decades of expertise in producing high-quality footwear for some of India’s most well-known brands, SR Industries is now preparing to bring its own products directly to market. Early Neuro-Rehab Saves Lives: Stroke Survivor’s Journey Marks Stroke Awareness Month

New Delhi, May 19th 2025 – When a 69-year-old woman slipped into a minimally conscious state after a major stroke last year, her family began preparing for the worst. Doctors across cities told her son, who had flown in from abroad, that her chances of recovery were slim to none. She was unresponsive, unable to move, and showed only faint signs of awareness.

Today, she can sit up, track conversations, and respond with gestures. It is not a miracle. It is the outcome of timely neuro-rehabilitation, scientific precision, and relentless persistence.

This story, emerging during World Stroke Awareness Month, underscores a critical yet under-addressed truth in Indian stroke care. While emergency treatment can save lives, rehabilitation is what gives those lives meaning.

After multiple hospitals expressed helplessness, the patient was admitted to HCAH, India’s largest chain of recovery and rehabilitation hospitals. There, she underwent a medically supervised, multidisciplinary neuro-rehabilitation program led by specialists in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR). Her treatment plan included Multimodal Sensory Stimulation, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), and advanced robotic and virtual therapies designed to activate dormant neural pathways and support functional recovery.

“We see too many lives plateau after emergency care simply because structured rehabilitation is not started in time,” said Dr. Gaurav Thukral, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer, HCAH. “Rehabilitation is a medical science, not just an extension of physiotherapy. At HCAH, our PMR-led model ensures that every therapy is medically prescribed and clinically timed. Whether it is exoskeleton-based gait training, end-effector robotics, virtual reality therapy, or HBOT, these interventions require specialist oversight and infrastructure not available in standard physiotherapy settings.”

“When recovery is guided by clinical expertise and advanced technology, as we practice at HCAH, even the most complex neurological conditions can show meaningful improvement.”

“In stroke care, we often say time is brain but that urgency must extend far beyond the emergency room or ICU,” said Dr. Varun Rehani, Consultant in Neurology, Centre for Neurosciences, Advanced Aneurysm Treatment, Epilepsy, Parkinson’s Disease, BLK-Max Super Speciality Hospital, Delhi. “For patients who enter a minimally conscious state, the early weeks of rehabilitation are not just important, they are critical. The golden 90-day window after a stroke is when the brain’s neuroplasticity is at its highest. Intervening during this time can significantly influence long-term recovery.”

“Delaying rehabilitation risks losing that vital opportunity. Early, intensive, and scientifically guided care that includes neurostimulation and evidence-based therapies can dramatically improve outcomes. Stroke care does not end with survival. It begins with structured rebuilding.”

The woman was diagnosed with a Disorder of Consciousness (DOC), a condition often misunderstood as irreversible. Her progress aligns with emerging global and Indian evidence highlighting the role of early neuroplastic stimulation in recovery.

Dr. Arunav Sharma, Associate Consultant, Neurosurgery, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, added, “Patients with impaired consciousness are frequently written off. But the brain may still retain the ability to respond if the right areas are stimulated. Through Multimodal Sensory Stimulation, we engage various senses including touch, movement, sound, smell, taste, and vision to activate dormant neural networks. This approach can open up new possibilities in neuro-recovery.”

Week by week, signs of improvement emerged. The patient blinked on command. She began to respond to voices with subtle movements. Eventually, she reached out for her son’s hand a gesture that once felt impossible.

With more than 1.8 million stroke cases annually, India is witnessing a sharp rise in post-stroke disability. Yet, structured rehabilitation particularly when led by PMR experts remains underutilized in most parts of the country.

As India marks World Stroke Awareness Month, this story stands as a reminder of what is possible when rehabilitation is not just timely but clinically guided. Because sometimes, the right therapy at the right time is not just about recovery—it is about restoring connection, dignity, and a second chance at life.

Top 3 AI-Powered Laptops for a Worry-Free Business Experience for Consultants

As a consultant, the operational pace of inputs, feedback, analysis and reporting is quite relentless, and the stakes are high too. Imagine walking through a museum with a leaflet while everyone else uses an AI-driven audio guide. That’s the difference AI makes for modern consultants. Whether you’re analyzing client data, preparing reports, or managing multiple stakeholders, AI features like transcription, automation, noise-canceling, or smart camera enhancements save you time, boost clarity, and ensure professionalism.

The situation is similar whether you’re advising a pharmaceutical giant, developing IT roadmaps, shaping marketing strategies, or managing financial transformations. Consultants need tools that work as intelligently and tirelessly as they do. This is where AI-powered business laptops take center stage.

Beyond intelligence, business laptops must offer superior performance, rugged durability, advanced security, and true portability to ensure productivity for consultants on the go. Imagine a healthcare consultant working remotely from a client hospital, running heavy data models to analyse patient workflows, while simultaneously participating in a multi-stakeholder video call with the IT and compliance teams. Or think of a banking consultant traveling between cities, reviewing sensitive regulatory documentation, using AI-powered transcription to capture insights from client meetings, and summarizing them into actionable reports. In both cases, an AI-enhanced business laptop doesn’t just power your work—it actively enhances your ability to respond, analyse, and deliver in real time, securely and seamlessly, no matter where your consulting journey takes you.

Here are three standout choices:

  1. ASUS ExpertBook P3405 – AI That Travels Well

The ExpertBook P3405 is purpose-built for professional consultants in tech, banking, or services who are always on the move—be it site visits, client offices, or remote work setups. Its lightweight aluminum build (just 1.42 kg) belies its rugged, MIL-STD 810H-tested durability. ASUS literally demonstrated an 8kg weight hung by the IO port of this laptop on launch day, to showcase durability.

Why is this perfect for consultants:

  • AI-enhanced meetings: Real-time translation, transcription with speaker ID, and intelligent summaries through ASUS AI ExpertMeet—ideal for cross-border collaboration. Also, there are no subscription charges, their entire AI suite is free of cost.
  • Secure performance: Up to Intel Core i7 H-series CPUs, dual PCIe Gen4 SSDs (up to 1TB), and 64GB DDR5 RAM. Built-in TPM 2.0, fingerprint reader, IR camera, webcam shield, and self-healing BIOS (this is an interesting feature from ASUS to explore).
  • Mobility-first design: All-day battery (up to 13 hours) with USB-C fast charging—even from power banks or airline ports.

Service Advantage: ASUS’s commercial-grade international warranty, on-site service options, and fast replacements make it consultant-ready out of the box.

  1. Dell Latitude 3550 – Smart, Secure, Scalable

Consultants know that flexibility and security are non-negotiable. The Latitude 3550 rises to meet that challenge. While this is now a legacy brand, it is widely accepted with businesses.

What makes it a reliable business companion:

  • AI-driven productivity: Windows Copilot hardware key, intelligent camera framing, and real-time noise reduction for distraction-free calls.
  • Robust build: Up to Intel Core i7 (13th Gen), 64GB RAM support, and enterprise-ready security including Dell SafeID, TPM 2.0, and a mechanical camera shutter.
  • Always connected: Wi-Fi 6E and optional 4G LTE, ExpressCharge for fast battery top-ups, and an FHD+ IR webcam for crisp conferencing.

Consultants in regulated sectors like healthcare or finance will appreciate Dell’s security pedigree and global support network.

  1. HP ProBook 450 G10 – Balanced, Business-Ready Brilliance

This one’s a favorite among management consultants, HR advisors, and professionals juggling multiple client deliverables daily.

Why is it a smart pick:

  • AI-infused protection: HP Sure Sense uses deep learning to detect malware threats, while Sure Click shields you from malicious websites and files.
  • Performance for everyday consulting: 13th Gen Intel Core i5 processor, 16GB RAM, and 512GB SSD for reliable multitasking and fast boot-ups.
  • Smooth remote collaboration: HD webcam, AI-based audio, and long-lasting battery with rapid charge.

Add HP’s BIOSphere Gen6 and Sure Start Gen7 for automatic firmware protection, and you’ve got a safe, efficient mobile workstation for wherever consulting takes you.

For consultants of every discipline—healthcare, IT, banking, pharma, or FMCG—the right laptop is your most valuable partner. These AI-powered devices not only help you deliver smarter, faster results but also free up your time to focus on what truly matters: insight, impact, and innovation.

JEE Advanced 2025 Chapter Wise High Weightage Topics and Smart Revision Tips to Ace the Exam

National, 19th May; 2025: As the countdown begins for the JEE Advanced 2025 examination on May 18th, lakhs of aspiring engineers from all over the country are preparing for one of India’s toughest competitive examinations. The test examines the conceptual understanding, problem-solving skill, and analytical reasoning of the students in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, requiring strategic preparation and targeted revision.

JEE Advanced Exam Pattern 2025

The pattern of the 2025 JEE Advanced exam is totally different from that of the JEE Main exam. The JEE Advanced exam consists of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2, with each paper lasting three hours. The syllabus of this exam is based on Class 11 and 12 syllabus topics in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. Students must keep in mind that they have to cover the important JEE Advanced chapter-wise weightage from the official syllabus to prepare effectively. In Physics, the dominant themes are Mechanics namely Rotational Motion and Laws of Motion, accounting for about 20% of the questions. Electromagnetism (15-18%), Modern Physics (10-12%), Optics (10%), Current Electricity (8-10%), and Thermodynamics (8%) share high weight too. Chemistry is split into Physical, Organic, and Inorganic portions, with key focus areas like Chemical Kinetics, Coordination Compounds, Thermodynamics, Organic Reaction mechanisms, and Biomolecules. Mathematics is going to test Calculus, Algebra, Coordinate Geometry, Probability, and Vector & 3D Geometry with Calculus alone contributing almost 20% to the paper.

Besides studying these chapters, the students are also encouraged to practice past year papers, practice mock tests in simulated test conditions, and keep neat formula sheets for easy revision.

It is to be noted that candidates are now permitted three attempts for JEE Advanced, enhancing the prior two-attempt limit. This change allows candidates an additional chance to maximize their performance across the JEE Advanced examination.

Expectations from Experts

Nitin Vijay, Founder and CEO, Motion, said, “JEE Advanced has a dynamic and unpredictable question trend, with no fixed official pattern announced in advance. The question formats may vary range from single correct answers to multiple correct, integer-type, or matrix-match questions. Mathematics is often a challenging subject for students. In contrast, Chemistry is generally perceived as scoring, therefore, any unexpected rise in its difficulty can cause significant concern among aspirants. The Physics section of NEET 2025 was regarded as extremely difficult, especially in relation to students’ prior expectations. This spike in difficulty caused panic since NEET Physics is typically considered simpler by students, and any increase in challenge led to a disproportionate sense of difficulty. Conversely, JEE Advanced is inherently challenging, and aspirants are psychologically prepared to face complex questions. Even though the paper’s difficulty varies year to year, it rarely induces panic or is deemed unusually hard by the candidates, who expect a challenging exam as part of the norm.”

He further said, “Unlike NEET, which relies more on memory and speed, JEE Advanced demands analytical thinking and integration of concepts. As of now, no major syllabus changes or shifts in topic weightage have been reported for JEE Advanced 2025. Mock tests are essential for success. Coaching institutes like Motion design mock exams closely replicate the real exam environment, timing, and question difficulty. This simulation helps students acclimate to the rigorous schedule (typically 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM), building resilience and reducing exam day anxiety. Adaptive learning platforms further aid in identifying weak areas and strengthening conceptual clarity, which is critical for excelling in this concept-heavy test.”

As D-day approaches, aspirants are encouraged to stay calm, focus on revision of high-weightage topics, and keep practising with mock tests to sharpen their time management and problem-solving skills. With consistent effort and strategic preparation, cracking JEE Advanced 2025 is within reach.
