Altinho, Feb 17: Under the visionary guidance of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, the Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications (DITE&C), led by the tech-driven leadership of the Hon’ble IT Minister, in collaboration with Goa Electronics Limited (GEL), announced the launch of the AI-powered Chatbot (Beta version) for Goa Online Services.This AI Chatbot has been developed to make government services easy to understand, easy to access, and easy to use. It acts as a single digital assistant that helps citizens interact with government services through simple, conversational language, without the need to navigate complex portals or visit offices.

The AI Chatbot was launched on 17th February 2026 by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa. The launch was graced by Shri. Rohan Khaunte, Hon’ble Minister for Information Technology, Electronics & Communications, Tourism and Printing & Stationery, Shri. Kabir Shirgaonkar, Director, Department of Information Technology, Electronics & Communications, and Ms. Revati Kumar, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director, Goa Electronics Limited (GEL).
Speaking at the launch, the Hon’ble Chief Minister said, “The chatbot marks a next chapter in Goa’s digital journey. It strengthens transparency, enhances speed and is bringing government services closer to citizens through a more responsive and personalized digital experience. At a time when, under the visionary and able leadership of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, the nation is actively shaping the future of Artificial Intelligence through the ongoing India AI Impact Summit 2026, Goa is proud to demonstrate real, citizen-centric AI implementation on the ground. Our AI Chatbot initiative reflects our commitment to building responsible, secure and inclusive AI solutions that enhance ease of living, strengthen governance transparency and make public services more accessible to every citizen.This initiative represents Goa’s commitment to being an active contributor to India’s AI-powered governance future.”
Highlighting the states ongoing digital initiatives, Shri. Rohan Khaunte said, “As the India AI Impact Summit 2026 drives national conversations around responsible and scalable AI adoption, Goa is already moving from discussion to implementation. The AI Chatbot represents a significant step towards building intelligent, multilingual and scalable digital governance platforms that can be seamlessly extended across departments and sectors.Through the Goa Online portal, we have already consolidated government services, reducing the need for physical visits and long queues, while the introduction of the AI Chatbot will further strengthen departmental operations through automation of routine service interactions, reduced workload on staff, and ensuring round-the-clock system availability. The chatbot will be progressively extended to all Government departments to enable unified and intelligent digital service delivery across the State.
The chatbot is designed to improve ease of living, transparency, and efficiency by providing guided support for various Goa Online services in a secure and user-friendly manner. It is currently being launched in Beta version, and feedback from citizens is being actively invited to further enhance its functionality and service delivery, with a view to implement an improved service across other government sectors in the future.
The launch of the AI chatbot reflects the state’s commitment to leveraging technology for efficient and inclusive public service delivery.
