Samsung Innovation Campus is Inspiring More Young Women in Uttar Pradesh to Build Careers in AI

Uttar Pradesh,  03 August: Artificial Intelligence is transforming industries and creating unprecedented career opportunities. Yet for many young women, particularly those from smaller cities, the biggest barrier to entering the technology workforce is not ambition—it is access to practical skills, industry exposure and the confidence to turn learning into a career.

Across Uttar PradeshSamsung Innovation Campus (SIC) is helping bridge that gap.

Samsung‘s flagship future-tech skilling programme has trained more than 26,500 young people across the country, including over 8,000 students in Uttar Pradesh, making the state one of the programme’s leading centres for future-tech skilling. Of these, 2,406 are women, reflecting Samsung‘s commitment to encouraging more young women to pursue careers in technology.

For Saumya Srivastava, a Computer Science graduate from Gorakhpur, the challenge was preparing for an industry evolving faster than the classroom.

“I often wondered whether my academic knowledge alone would prepare me for the technology industry,” she says.

Seeking practical experience, Saumya enrolled in Samsung Innovation Campus, where hands-on AI training, project-based learning and expert mentorship helped her strengthen her technical skills and build the confidence to pursue a career in technology.

Today, she is a Software Developer Intern at Digiquest Consultancy Services.

“Through its industry-oriented curriculum and practical projects, I gained the confidence to apply my knowledge beyond textbooks,” she says. “No one enters this industry with all the answers. Success comes from continuously learning and embracing every challenge as an opportunity.”

For Rekha K. from Lucknow, Samsung Innovation Campus became an opportunity to push the boundaries of what she could achieve.

Selected from more than 20,000 participants trained across India, Rekha was recognised for developing Healtytics, a data-driven framework designed to strengthen tuberculosis (TB) surveillance and intervention planning in India

“Working on Healtytics showed me how technology and data can be used to address real-world public health challenges,” says Rekha. “The experience helped me strengthen my technical skills and gave me the confidence to build solutions with meaningful social impact. All of this would not have been possible without Samsung Innovation Campus.”

Implemented in collaboration with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) and the Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC) under the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Samsung Innovation Campus equips young people with industry-relevant skills in Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies, supporting the vision of Skill India and Digital India.

As Samsung celebrates 30 years in India, the journeys of Saumya and Rekha demonstrate what becomes possible when talent is matched with opportunity. By equipping more young women with future-ready AI skills, Samsung Innovation Campus is helping build a more diverse technology workforce and inspiring the next generation of women to pursue careers in AI and emerging technologies.
