Saare Jahan Se Accha which was conceived in 2005 by Padmashree and Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardee Guru Ranjana Gauhar as a heartfelt artistic tribute to India’s Independence, it has emerged from her vision to celebrate the soul of the nation through the transformative power of culture. Over the past two decades, the festival has evolved into a prestigious and internationally admired cultural platform, bringing together legendary maestros, distinguished performers, emerging talent, and lovers of the arts from across the country and abroad.
A distinctive feature of the festival has been its tradition of honouring eminent artists and cultural luminaries whose lifelong dedication has enriched India’s artistic heritage and strengthened its cultural fabric.
Over the years, Saare Jahan Se Accha has paid tribute to some of the nation’s most celebrated maestros, including Padma Vibhushan and former Rajya Sabha Member Dr. Sonal Mansingh, Padma Vibhushan and Sangeet Natak Akademi Fellow Smt.
