The Tuli Research Centre for India Studies (T.R.I.S.) presents SWARAJ | Revisualising India‘s Political History, a landmark exhibition curated by renowned cultural historian and archivist Neville Tuli. Bringing together an extraordinary collection of Modern and Contemporary Fine Art, Popular Art, Photography, Film Memorabilia, rare books, prints and visual-textual-audio archives, the exhibition revisits India‘s political journey through the lens of visual culture. Drawing from the extensive collections of the Tuli Research Centre, SWARAJ offers a multidisciplinary exploration of the nation’s path towards political self-rule, democracy and identity, presenting history beyond conventional narratives through art, archives and public memory.
The exhibition opens with a special preview on Wednesday, 12 August 2026, at 6:00 PM, and will be on view from 12 to 16 August 2026, daily 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, at the Visual Arts Gallery, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.
