MIPI UniPro v3.0 Enhancements

 

 

MIPI UniPro is an application-agnostic transport and link layer used to interconnect chipsets and peripheral components. The principal updates in version 3.0 include:

 

 

  • Support for data speeds of up to 46.6 Gbps per lane per direction, based on M-PHY v6.0 high-speed gear 6 (HS-G6) and its new high-efficiency 1b1b encoding scheme
  • New transport framing structure (TFS), Reed-Soloman forward error correction (RS-FEC), 64-bit cyclic redundancy check (CRC), TFS data scrambling, gray coding, precoding and lane alignment features
  • The introduction of a link equalization training procedure to help the application layer identify optimal Tx equalization settings
  • New features that enable UniPro interconnects over the new M-PHY v6.0 HS-G6 to operate at a bit error rate (BER) of less than 10-22 at the application layer
  • Mandated support for high-speed link start up (using M-PHY HS-G1 Rate A), reducing link start up latency

Uptime Institute, the Global Digital Infrastructure Authority, today announced that Khazna Data Centers, a global leader in hyperscale digital infrastructure, has achieved the Uptime Institute Tier III Certification of Design Documents (TCDD) award for its newest 100 MW AI-optimized data center, QAJ01 —set to be the first certified AI data center with liquid cooling in the Middle East and North Africa region.

 

Representing the largest facility in Khazna’s portfolio, this state-of-the-art development features 20 data halls, each delivering 5 MW of IT capacity, purpose-built to meet the demands of next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) workloads. The certification underscores Khazna’s commitment to designing world-class, resilient, and efficient data center infrastructure in alignment with the industry’s most rigorous global standards.

 

 

Located in Ajman, United Arab Emirates, the new facility has been designed with advanced liquid-cooling systems to support the high rack densities and thermal loads required by large-scale AI training and inference applications, while optimizing energy efficiency and maintaining operational resilience.

Uptime Institute’s Tier Certification of Design Documents (TCDD) is the first step in the Institute’s globally recognized Tier Certification process, validating that a facility’s design plans meet the requirements of its Tier Standard for Topology. TransUnion CIBIL, India’s leading credit information company, today announced the integration of the consumer CIBIL Score and Report into State Bank of India’s (SBI) You Only Need One (YONO) app. Seamless incorporation of the score and report allows the bank’s customers to securely access and monitor their CIBIL Score and wider credit information when they use the app. The integration also includes report analysis, ‘Frequently Asked Questions,’ and gamified learning to understand the credit score process.
