Over 4,000 Students Benefit from Hindustan Zinc’s Shiksha Sambal Diwali Initiative

Udaipur, 11th November 2024: Hindustan Zinc Limited (NSE: HINDZINC), India’s largest and the world’s second-largest integrated zinc producer, successfully concluded its Shiksha Sambal Diwali Camp 2024, supporting more than 4,000 students from underprivileged rural hinterland across its operational areas. This initiative, part of Hindustan Zinc’s Siksha Sambhal program, an education-focused CSR program, has been operating in Rajasthan since 2008, uplifting the lives of over 2 lakh children annually in underserved rural areas.

The purpose of the camps is to support first-generation learners who are likely to opt out of pursuing studies and a fulfilling career, owing to financial and social constraints. This year’s camp took place in two phases offering academic assistance to Class IX and X students who are in the final stages of finishing their schooling during the festive break. The camps provided support in foundational subjects such as reading, writing, mathematics, and science through structured sessions, featured workbook exercises and practical lab work for science students, along with enhanced library work for mathematics and English.

By focusing on these core subjects, the camp aimed to strengthen student’s understanding and boost their academic performance. Additionally, the program emphasized consistent attendance to maximize learning outcomes, ensuring that every student could benefit from the comprehensive educational support provided. The Shiksha Sambal Diwali Camp 2024 in partnership with Vidhya Bhawan Society reached students across various locations, including Udaipur, Rajsamand, Chittorgarh, Ajmer, and Agucha in Rajasthan. Overall, the camp successfully impacted students, providing essential academic support during a crucial time in their educational journeys.

Hindustan Zinc’s Shiksha Sambal Program is integral to the broader commitment to uplift underprivileged children through education in rural Rajasthan. The company recently signed an MoU with Department of Education, Rajasthan committing an investment of ₹36 crores over the next five years to enhance educational development in the state. The company has established over 1400 Nand Ghars across Rajasthan and Uttarakhand to promote early childhood development of rural children, which has benefitted over 2.5 Lakh women and children. Chairperson, Sanquelim Municipal Council, Felicitates Sesa Technical School Graduates at Convocation Ceremony

Ms Siddhi Parab Chairperson of the Sanquelim Municipal Council felicitated 79 students of the 2022-24 batch from Sesa Technical School on the occasion of the 29th Convocation Ceremony held at the STS Campus at Sanquelim. Apart from technical courses for boys, the STS also runs courses for girls who are inducted in the Instrument Mechanic, Electrician & Machinist trades. The COPA course has been a welcome addition since 2023 and it has been well subscribed to as well. Apart from the usual curriculum, the STS provides its students industry exposure through plant and site visits and helps them prepare for interviews and job placement opportunities.

Festivities and Fun Galore as TAS Organises Grandparents Day

The Academy School (TAS), Pune, organised a Grandparents Day for students to celebrate and understand the bond between alternate generations. Considering the cultural legacy of festivals in India and the grandparents are the torchbearers of Indian festive spirit, the school organised a series of activities that sparked creativity among both generations and aimed at harbouring respect for the generation besides their own.

While the grandparents explained the importance of festivities and the reasons behind celebrating them in India, students of TAS performed for the grandparents and recounted bedtime stories to make them fall asleep. “The activities ranged from how grandmothers ensured the child was well fed to how grandfathers made their grandchildren sit on their shoulders and showed them the world from a bird’s eye view,” said Dr. Maithili Tambe, CEO of TAS.

Spearheaded by Dr. Tambe, the day filled the atmosphere with heartwarming experiences wherein both generations learnt significantly about each other and got a fresh outlook on the generation. “While the old generations pass on the wisdom they acquired over the years, the new and young generation gives a fresher take on things going on for ages. Largest Student Community Honors Resilience and Education with Rs. 50,000 Diya Scholarship at Student Tribe Meet

Hyderabad, 6th November 2024 — The vibrant Tribe Meet, hosted by Student Tribe, united over 1,500 students from 60 colleges in an empowering day of networking, learning, and inspiration. The highlight of the event was the presentation of the Rs. 50,000 Diya Scholarship to Ashwini, a dedicated female student pursuing higher education despite financial challenges. This scholarship, established in memory of Diya, a former Student Tribe intern who tragically passed due to a medical error and is dedicated to supporting ambitious young women facing similar hardships.

TEDxThe Pupil International School Youth 2024: Celebrating Eunoia through Inspiring Talks

KLH Bachupally Campus Promotes Unity Through Community Initiatives

Delhi, November 2024 – The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of KLH Bachupally campus organized a series of impactful events at Zilla Parishad High Schools (ZPHS) in Bowrampet and Bachupally. These initiatives aimed to promote community welfare and unity, were organized recently to celebrate Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, honoring Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary.

The event commenced with a unity pledge ceremony involving over 200 school students, instilling a sense of national integrity and solidarity among the young participants. Following the pledge, the Child Personal Hygiene Program educated students on essential hygiene practices. The interactive session, led by KLH volunteers, emphasized the importance of personal health, with enthusiastic participation from both KLH and school students.

A cleanliness campaign was also conducted, engaging volunteers in cleaning drives within the school premises and surrounding areas. This initiative promoted environmental awareness and encouraged a sense of community responsibility. RV University opens admissions for 2025-26

The selection will be based on the applicant’s performance in RVU’s selection process. RVU offers merit scholarships to deserving students.

In 2024, RVU allocated Rs. five crore for merit scholarships which benefited over 550 students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. The University will continue its commitment to continuously improve its scholarship offerings, thereby supporting the academic dreams of high-performing students.

The aspiration of the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences is ‘educate to excel’. The pedagogy is structured to enable the learners to successfully navigate complex realities. To enable this, RV University offer a four-year Bachelor of Liberal Arts (B.L.A.) in Environmental Science, Psychology, Philosophy, India Studies and Politics and International Relations with an exit option at the end of the third year with B.Sc. in Environmental Science/Psychology or B.A. in India Studies/Philosophy/ Politics and International Relations.

The School of Design and Innovation aims to ‘redefine design education’. It offers a four-year B.Des. degree with five specialisations to choose from – User Experience, Interior Environments, Communication and New Media, Product and Transdisciplinary Contexts. It also offers a two-year M.Des. degree with specialization in User Experience and Design Futures (Research-based). In addition, the school has a postgraduate diploma in Design Journalism.
