GLEN HEAD, N.Y. March 30, 2023—Today is opening day across baseball, and what would the start of the season be without the annual simulation by Strat-O-Matic, the market leader in sports simulations, on the regular season and playoffs? Led by Aaron Judge’s 52 home runs, 132 RBI and .313 batting average, the sim has the slugger pushing his Yankees to 102 wins and eventually defeating Los Angeles, four games to two, to win their 28th championship.

In the N.L., Nolan Arenado’s .293 average, 46 home runs and 116 RBI for St. Louis earned the third baseman the MVP, Yu Darvish of San Diego claimed the Cy Young with his 17-4, 2.55 ERA and 221 strikeouts and Corbin Carroll of Arizona taking the Rookie of the Year (20 home runs, 62 RBI).

New Delhi / Dehradun 30 March 2023: Log huts built under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme in the Tehri district of Uttarakhand state were awarded as runner-up in the category of Best Log Huts at Chintan Shivir organized at Ashok Hotel, New Delhi. The state was honored by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India in lieu of the best practices and good works adopted under the Swadesh Darshan scheme.

Representatives of different states are participating in this two-day Chintan Shivir. State Tourism Minister Shri Satpal Maharaj from Uttarakhand attended the Chintan Shivir. During this, he was honored by Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Honorable Minister of State for Tourism, Government of India.

On this occasion, Tourism Minister Mr. Satpal Maharaj said, “The honor bestowed upon Uttarakhand is a reflection of the good work we have done. Recently, the state has been recognized as a pioneer in the field of adventure, responsible, and sustainable tourism. These recognitions motivate us to improve significantly. The Swadesh Darshan Yojana 2.0 is developing the tourism infrastructure at Adi Kailash in Pithoragarh, Om Parvat, Munsyari, and Chuka in Champawat. While places like Katarmal, Jageshwar, Baijnath Devidhura, etc. are being developed as heritage circuits.

He said, “Being honoured in the Best Log Huts category is something to be proud of. To make the state the best log hut destination, 20 log huts have been built at Sirai in Tehri under the Swadesh Darshan scheme, at a cost of 11 crores 30 lakh . Log huts would prove to be a milestone for tourism in the modern era. Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh, March 22, 2023: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has formally launched the additional nutrition in Jagananna Gorumudda by providing Ragi Malt Drink to 37,63,698 students of 44,392 government and aided schools across the state by spending Rs.86 Crores annually from his camp office in Tadepalli on Tuesday.

Addressing the students and officials virtually, the Chief Minister said, “We have taken many radical steps from the first day of coming to power by working towards reducing the number of school dropouts, providing facilities to school, and increasing the intellectual development of the students.”

Highlighting the schemes taken by the government, Chief Minister Jagan said, “From pregnant women to children, we provide nutritious food. English Medium in schools, CBSE Syllabus, Bilingual Textbooks, and IFAP Panels are set up from the 6th class onwards, Tabs are given to the 8th class children. We are guiding the children by hand at every step.”

“Schemes like Amma Vodi, Vidya Deevena, and Vasathi Deevena are undertaken by the government so that all our children can compete with the future world. From now on, we will also provide Ragi Malt to the children. These practices are to make the Gorumudda even better. This food provides useful iron and calcium which helps the growth of children,” the Chief Minister added.

Taking a dig at the previous government, he said, “How were the conditions before our government came? How are things now? Notice the difference for a moment. In the past, Rs 450 crores were spent by the previous government in a year. They kept 8-10 months of arrear bills pertaining to Aayas and groceries, which affected the quality. We are running a mid-day meal program by spending Rs.1824 crore rupees per year, and with 86 crores for Ragi Malt drink, it adds up to Rs 1910 crore.”

“We are feeding children with a daily menu, and never before a Chief Minister has thought about what children are eating. If we don’t do it, who else will do it?
