Telangana records a 40% rise in online orders in FY-2022: Unicommerce

Mumbai, 12 May 2023: There has been a consistent rise in e-commerce adoption over the last few years, with consumers and businesses adopting e-commerce platforms. Unicommerce, one of India’s leading e-commerce enablement SaaS platforms has reported that the e-commerce order volumes in Telangana increased by over 40% in FY-23 compared to FY-22. The company analyzed over 28 million order items processed in the region over the last two financial years to understand the changing e-commerce trends in the region. The data also revealed that consumers from Telangana are shopping across various categories. Fashion and accessories are the biggest category with maximum order volume and have reported over 55% order volume growth rate in FY 2023 compared to the previous financial year. The fashion and accessories category includes a wide range of products such as apparel, kid’s wear, footwear, bags, belts, wallets, and other accessories. Beauty and personal care is the second most popular segment in Telangana and it reported 20% YoY order volume growth in FY 2023. The electronic peripherals and audio products are also a growing segment with 74% in order volume growth in FY 2023 compared to the previous year. Another popular online shopping category in Telangana is home decor and kitchenware, which has reported over 50% YoY order volume growth in FY 2023.

Interestingly, it’s not just consumers but businesses in Telangana that are also adopting e-commerce. Unicommerce allows businesses to manage e-commerce operations and it’s currently working with 60+ companies from Telangana and manages over 400 facilities from local and national brands in Telangana alone. In light of the growing trend, the company analyzed the growth of Telangana-based businesses and observed an impressive average of 70% increase in orders shipped from the region to various parts of the country during FY23.

IDEMITSU Honda Racing India team from Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) is all set to raise the stakes higher at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia this weekend.

After making a strong start in the first opening round of Asia Production 250cc (AP250cc) class of Asia’s toughest road racing championship, the solo Indian two-wheeler racing team enters the upcoming round with a total 9 points.

Commenting on the upcoming round, Mr. P Rajagopi, Operating Officer – Premium Motorcycle Business, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India said, “The first round of 2023 ARRC witnessed our feisty riders Kavin and Mohsin delivering powerful performances on the international soil. The 17-year-old rider enters the round 2 with total 6 points and is currently placed at 13th on the scoreboard.

Backing Kavin up as his teammate is the promising rookie rider Mohsin P. The young lad from Mallapuram is at 17th position with 3 points at his debut season at ARRC. Based on the learning so far, the 20-year-old rider will seek to climb up the scoreboard at Sepang International racetrack.

Sharing his thoughts, Kavin Quintal said, “I am very excited to be back at the Sepang International Circuit. I have worked hard on my weak points and personally, I feel strong and motivated to race in the second round of ARRC this weekend.
