17th May 2023, Kolkata:On the evening of 12th May 2023, leading NGO, The Bengal, celebrated ‘Rabindra Jayanti’ with more than 300 senior citizen members of Pronam at the Body Guard Lines auditorium in Kolkata. A cultural program, celebrating the philosophy and literary works of Kavi Guru Rabindranath Tagore, was organized to mark his 162nd Birth Anniversary.

The thoughts of Tagore guides us in all aspects of our life. His poetry emphasizes the importance of respecting the beauty of nature in all its forms, valuing sustainability, and recognizing humanity as the only religion that unites us all. Gurudev once said, “I slept and dreamt that Life was Joy. I awoke and saw Life was Service. I acted and behold Service was Joy.”

At the Rabindra Jayanti cultural programme, danseuse Ms Priti Patel, a Board member of The Bengal and an exponent of Manipuri dance, in her opening speech lauded The Bengal’s ongoing efforts to assist senior citizens through Project Pronam; and their dedication to promote Bengal’s literary heritage through cultural events like Rabindra Jayanti. Ms Patel personally welcomed the senior citizen members of ‘Pronam’ who attended the program.

Sri Sitanshu Roy and Sri Tarun Das provided instrumental accompaniment to make the evening even more enchanting.

Smt Priti Patel delighted ‘Pronam’ members with an excerpt from Rabindranath Tagore’s ‘Chitrangada’, accompanied by a beautiful song sung by Smt Promita Mullick. The senior citizens gave Ms Priti Patel a standing ovation in appreciation of her wonderful performance. Compere Chandan Mazumdar said, “When lovers of art unite, it seems that in the words of Tagore, ‘Music fills the infinite between two souls’.”

During the event, Smt Sushmita Sarkar and Sri Rabin Mazumdar recited Kabi Guru’s ‘Jhorer Kheya’ and ‘Africa’.

The program concluded with a performance of a final song by Mr Anindya Narayan Biswas. The elderly audience was mesmerized and thoroughly entertained and expressed their deepest gratitude to Pronam for a memorable evening.

It’s a great feeling to watch Shubman’s straight dives and pull shots.”

Former India cricketer Sunil Gavaskar also lavished praise on this cricketer from Punjab and his ability to read the ball well.

New Delhi, 17th, May 2023: Axis Three Dee Studios—a one-of-its-kind initiative in immersive visual media and projection mapping—launched a fascinating son-et-lumière (light-and-sound) show display at the recently inaugurated ‘Vishwas Swaroopam’ (Statue of Belief) as a permanent installation. Revolving around the themes of ‘Aarambh’ (The Beginning) and ‘Shabd Utpatti’ (Origin of Language), the shows keep the audience enthralled throughout the entire 20-30-minute program. With many more stories to be introduced shortly, the 369-foot Statue of Belief promises to be a ‘must-visit’ landmark already thronged by thousands of visitors every day.

The unique narration is in a ‘Kathavachak’ or narrative form, and has been scripted and narrated by Shri Madan Paliwal Ji, Chairman of the iconic conglomerate, Miraj Group, of Udaipur. The language brings alive the timeless knowledge and wisdom of this ancient land weaving lucidly into the narrative numerous anecdotes, references and direct quotes from the Sanatani scriptures. All of it is in a form easily understood by the young and old alike.

This projection is a daily event. Painting the night sky aglow in a riot of colours, the resplendent Statue of Belief comes alive with the help of 24 Barco’s UDX series projectors, each shooting out a staggering 40,000 lumens of brightness and that, too, in 4K resolution for an ultra-vivid and crisp rendition.

Located atop the hill of Ganesh Tekri within the ‘Tat Padam Upvan’ grounds, the ‘Vishwas Swaroopam’ statue was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Ashok Gehlot, along with Sri Morari Bapu and Rajasthan Assembly Speaker, Shri CP Joshi, in October 2022. ‘Vishwas Swaroopam’ is the world’s tallest Shiva idol, and constructed by Tat Padam Sansthan. The statue depicts Mahadev in a rare sitting posture, as He benevolently looks below at the surrounding expanses of Nathdwara and beyond. The ‘Tat Padam Upvan’ is spread over a sprawling 31 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds.

‘Vishwas Swaroopam’ can be seen from as far as 20 kilometers on days when visibility and the weather permits. It has become the latest iconic landmark for the region. Every evening, this majestic statue comes to life in a stunning riot of colours, sound and light during the projection mapping show, created and commissioned by Axis Three Dee Studio Pvt. Ltd.

The Statue of Belief was envisioned by Shri Madan Paliwal Ji. The Miraj Group had selected and entrusted the entire projection design and execution job to Axis Three Dee Studios. Mr Avijit Samajdar, CEO, Axis Three Dee Studios, who is an internationally acclaimed, award-winning Projection Designer, having numerous projects in India and the world to his credit, is Producer and Director for the content design of this amazing projection mapping show. The mesmerising, fluidic visuals with their vibrant colours and seamless transitions, sprinkled with lavish visionary art, have come to be recognised as the hallmark style of its Director, Avijit Samajdar. Avijit praised his content team for their deep insight in connecting words with images, even on such complex topography and surface colours, while always maintaining the storyline’s sanctity.

For a show that required communication between a multitude of hardware and software with clockwork precision,” says Avijit, “nothing but the best can suffice and Watchout mapping systems and Dataton media servers were my first choice. Local nonprofit to raise funds for its diaper program.

(St. Louis, Mo., May 16, 2023) — The St. Louis Area Diaper Bank will host its second annual Fantastic Father’s Benefit Concert on Thurs., Sept. 21 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. The fundraiser will be held at the .Zack Theater located at 3224 Locust St. Proceeds will benefit the nonprofit’s diaper program.

The concert will feature JAM: Jackson & MARS, a high-energy live band and production that showcases Michael Jackson and Bruno Mars. The band includes a Michael Jackson impersonator plus Bruno Mars’ look-alike who will perform 40 songs spanning 40 years. The evening includes drinks, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction and raffle.

This year the St. Louis Area Diaper Bank – through a network of 70 community organizations, educational and health partners serving low-income families – will distribute 4.1 million diapers to more than 70,000 families in the St. Louis region.

Founded in 2014, the St. Louis Area Diaper Bank provides diaper and period supply access to the region’s low-income families, as well as raises community awareness about the causes and consequences of diaper need and period poverty. The nonprofit is a member of the National Diaper Bank Network and its sister organization Alliance for Period Supplies, a nationwide nonprofit dedicated to eliminating diaper need and “period poverty” in America. The period supply program ensures access to menstrual hygiene products, which allows full participation in daily life with dignity.

The period supply program distributes period supplies through community partners and advocates for the elimination of “period poverty”. This year the period program will distribute 1.1 million period products. Two-thirds of low-income women in St. Louis cannot afford menstrual hygiene products, with 46% of low-income women having to choose between food and period supplies.

(St. Louis, Mo., May 16, 2023) — Art by Lari’s owner Cindy Larimore was recently selected to join Michael Grey’s Collaborative Artist’s Capsule, which takes individual artist’s work and displays them on Birkenstock sandals manufactured by the Michael Grey Sandal Factory.
