Sampoorna EV regains bootstrapped status, repays investment to NexGen Energia Limited

New Delhi, 30th January 2024 Sampoorna EV, one of the emerging players in the electric vehicle sector, has transitioned to a fully bootstrapped company following the return of its investment to Dr. Piyush Dwivedi, Promoter and Chairman of NexGen Energia Limited. The move, effective from 28th December 2023, comes after Dr. Dwivedi decided to independently enter the EV industry and mutually agreed with Sampoorna EV’s Founder and Managing Director, Vikas Gupta, to return the investment.

The investment journey between Sampoorna EV and Dr. Dwivedi began when he acquired a 25% stake in the company, valued at 6 Crores. However, in a turn of events, Dr. Dwivedi decided to pursue independent ventures in the EV industry. Following this decision, a mutual agreement was reached with Sampoorna EV’s Founder and Managing Director, Vikas Gupta, leading to the return of the investment and thereby exit from Sampoorna.

Speaking on this development, Gupta said, “The return of this investment is a significant milestone for Sampoorna EV. As a fully bootstrapped company now, we are steering towards a path of self-reliant growth and innovation in the electric vehicle sector. Danfoss and Google enter into a strategic partnership on AI and energy efficiency

Danfoss and Google announced a strategic partnership to make use of the latest advances in artificial intelligence (AI) and promote energy-efficient solutions in data centers.

Under the partnership, Danfoss, the Danish multinational engineering group, will use Google Cloud’s generative AI capabilities to optimize the customer experience, streamline internal work processes and improve productivity across the organization. This can be done, for example, by using gen AI to collect and surface information, automate knowledge, generate product descriptions, and create solutions with chatbots in e-commerce.

As a global leader in energy-efficient solutions, Danfoss is working with Google to implement sustainable cooling systems for data centers and to design systems that reuse the excess heat produced by data centers. Danfoss Turbocor® compressors provide highly reliable, highly efficient solutions when expertly applied by OEM partners and are being installed by Google to improve the energy efficiency and decarbonize heating and cooling systems in data centers.

Each current account product has been specially curated to meet the specific business banking needs of different business segments, empowering customers and giving a boost to their businesses. The new Current Account package was unveiled at an event at the Bank’s Corporate Office by the MD & CEO, Shri Debadatta Chand in the presence of the Bank’s Executive Directors, CVO and Ms. Shafali Verma, Indian Cricketer and the Bank’s Brand Endorser.

The newly launched bob Current Accounts are: bob Lite (aimed at individuals/sole proprietorships/small businesses), bob Women Power (for women entrepreneurs), bob Smart (aimed at businesses largely conducting digital transactions), bob Gold (for medium-sized businesses) and bob Platinum, bob Rhodium, and bob Diamond (for large businesses having high transactional requirements).

These accounts come with features and value-added services based on the chosen account such as higher anywhere cash deposit limits, free Sound box with QR code and POS machine (with zero monthly rental), a bundled collateral-free overdraft facility with the current account, curated Baroda Cash Management Services for the higher account variants, in addition to lower monthly average balance requirements.
