We are very grateful for the overwhelming response and support we’ve received. Our commitment to spotlighting diverse talent on international platforms remains steadfast.”

The upcoming 2024 international schedule features more than 20 OML-repped comedians going on international tours. After conquering Royal Albert Hall, Zakir Khan sets his eyes on North America with more than 20,000 tickets sold so far and a sold-out performance at Madison Square Garden in March. In 2024’s touring schedule, OML has collaborated with a diversified portfolio of Indian as well as international promoters. This is just the beginning of an exciting chapter for OML and the exceptional artists we represent. The number of Indian comedians touring in these markets have exponentially increased and the promoters with whom we have developed and scaled markets with are now also trusted partners for comedians who are not repped by OML too, thereby building a lot of inclusivity. Jasprit Bumrah and Kapil Dev Turn Teammates for TATA IPL 2024 on JioCinema

Mumbai, March 15, 2024: Shortly after bringing MS Dhoni in a double role for their inaugural TATA IPL 2024 campaign, JioCinema has now presented Kapil Dev and Jasprit Bumrah in two films as part of their new campaign, titled TV Dekho Toh Aise. The latest set of films from JioCinema focus specifically on the Connected TV proposition for viewers that prefer watching TATA IPL on digital as well as a big screen. They also bring out the manifold features of the platform that take fans from a ‘lean-back’ to a ‘lean-forward’ viewing experience with an unprecedented degree of autonomy.

TATA IPL 2024 will commence on JioCinema with the southern derby as MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings face off with Royal Challengers Bangalore on March 22, 2024.

The treatment of the films, produced by Chrome Pictures, is banter-filled, as conversations between the two ace cricketers get dotted with tongue-in-cheek remarks at each other, all in good jest. The first film has Bumrah engrossed in watching the TATA IPL on his mobile phone, while Kapil Dev enters the scene and engages him in conversation. Bumrah is seen staking superiority for the way his generation consumes the TATA IPL, until Kapil challenges him, turning on a Connected TV, streaming the same content Bumrah was watching. The second film with the duo takes it a step forward in the same vein, as they discuss the capability of watching the TATA IPL in 4K, with one’s choice of camera angle and key moments.

The latest set of films from JioCinema are guided by India’s clear preference of watching their favourite sports content on Connected TV. All TV sets sold in the country over the past four quarters have been Connected TV’s. Last season, over 125 million people watched the TATA IPL on CTV and this year, about 200 million are expected to do so.

“While there is no doubt that India has gone digital in the way it watches the TATA IPL or any other live sport, Connected TV viewers are a rapidly growing subset within the digital universe,” said a Viacom18 Spokesperson. “Our films with Kapil Dev and Jasprit Bumrah drive home the message that the TATA IPL can not only be enjoyed at convenience with flexibility on a mobile phone but also with high-end features for free on Connected TV. It is the same thrill of the high-octane tournament but on a big screen with the viewer having complete control over the premium viewing experience. It is our submission to cricket fans to get a first-hand experience of how JioCinema is redefining the TV experience and hence the line, ‘TV Dekho Toh Aise’ in the campaign.”

Viewers will be able to catch the latest season for free in 4K across 12 languages, with multi-cam options and many more fan-engagement features including the much-loved contest Jeeto Dhan Dhana Dhan. Viewers can also continue to watch their preferred sports by downloading JioCinema (iOS & Android). For the latest updates, news, scores, and videos, fans can follow JioCinema on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and WhatsApp and Sports18 on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.

Actors reveal their skincare and haircare secrets during Holi

The festival of Holi is known for its colourful celebrations, where people come together to spread joy and enthusiasm. While many prefer organic colours to keep their skin and hair safe, practising general care during and after the festival is crucial. Speaking of which, &TV actors reveal valuable tips and advice on how to take care of oneself after Holi and maintain a glowing complexion. These include Neha Joshi (Krishna Devi Vajpayee) from Atal, Geetanjali Mishra (Rajesh Singh) from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, and Vidisha Srivastava (Anita Bhabi) from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai. Neha Joshi, essaying the role of Krishan Devi Vajpayee, shares, “As I embrace the lively spirit of Holi, safeguarding my skin and hair becomes my top priority. I prefer the traditional way and rely on coconut oil to provide a protective shield, ensuring my skin stays supple and my hair retains its natural lustre. A nourishing hair spa using coconut oil strengthens my locks, shielding them from potential colour damage. To further enhance my hair’s care, I recommend rinsing it with lemon juice and water after Holi, which helps remove colour and restore the hair’s pH balance for soft, manageable locks. Additionally, indulging in the rejuvenating benefits of a Neem leaves bath after Holi can soothe the skin and alleviate any irritation caused by the intense colours.”

Geetanjali Mishra, essaying the role of Rajesh Singh, advises, “During Holi, it’s essential to prioritise the health of our skin and hair. We can ensure a safer celebration by choosing organic colours while minimising potential harm. This year, I purchased my essentials from Indore while visiting Ujjain for Mahashivratri. Along with a selection of organic colours, I also bought moisturisers crafted from natural ingredients to ensure a safe and healthy Holi experience. After the festivities, I indulge in a calming skincare routine involving curd, honey, and turmeric to replenish my skin’s moisture and restore its inherent glow. I rely on the time-honoured practice of mustard oil massages for my hair. This deeply nourishing treatment delicately removes colour residue and offers intense hydration, leaving my hair resilient and lustrous. As the colours fade away, these rituals bring equilibrium, enabling me to revel in the spirit of Holi while maintaining the vitality of my skin and hair. Vidisha Srivastava, known for her portrayal of Anita Bhabi, emphasises, “I have fond memories of Holi, having spent my formative years in Varanasi. The city’s early commencement of festivities made it even more special. During a recent visit to Kashi Vishwanath for Mahashivratri, I saw the bustling preparations for Holi that are already in progress. One of my family’s most cherished traditions during Holi is applying a special ubtan. My mother uses roasted mustard, a hint of turmeric, and mustard oil. This ubtan shields my skin from vibrant colours and keeps it hydrated. Applying this ubtan is a graceful tradition of delicately massaging the paste onto the skin. Any remnants are ceremonially burned during the Holika Dahan, symbolising protection from illnesses. This custom is well-known to anyone familiar with Uttar Pradesh traditions. After Holi, a simple bath infused with mustard oil revitalises my skin. For my hair, I turn to the enriching properties of a coconut oil massage.”
