Minda Corporation Signs “Joint Venture Agreement” with HCMF for Automotive Sunroof Solutions and Closure Systems

26th June 2024  Delhi NCR, India  Minda Corporation Limited (referred to as “Minda Corp” or the “Company”; NSE: MINDACORP, BSE: 538962), the flagship company of Spark Minda, a leading automotive components supplier to OEMs and tier-1 customers signed “Joint Venture (JV) Agreement” with HSIN Chong Machinery Works Co. Ltd. (HCMF) from Taiwan, manufacturer of Automotive Sunroof and Closure systems.

This partnership is a 50:50 Joint venture between Minda Corporation and HCMF, aiming to provide cutting-edge technology backed by state-of-the-art manufacturing of Sunroof and Closure Technology Products for passenger cars by localization in India.

World Hypertension Day Campaign at Medanta Hospital

26th June 2024  Gurugram, Haryana, India  Hypertension kills more adults than any other cause. India alone is home to an estimated 220 million adults with hypertension.

Medanta, one of India’s largest multi-specialty tertiary care providers, took the lead in raising mass awareness about this silent killer during the World Hypertension Day, at its hospital campus in Gurgaon and Lucknow from 27-29 May and 15-16 June 2024 respectively where thousands of healthcare-seekers walk in daily.

The approach for the awareness campaign was engaging and interactive. An attractive educational setup was installed in the central area of the hospital for maximum reach and footfall. The centerpiece of the set-up was a holographic 3D display of a working heart through a Holograph Fan. This immersive visual captivated the audience and provided a realistic depiction of heart function.

The centerpiece was surrounded by four interactive touch screens, each covering a different aspect of hypertension and heart health-related information. While the first three screens educated the visitors about the Risks, Causes and Effects of High Blood Pressure; the fourth screen was an interactive touch screen for heart screening. The visitors undertook a screening test by answering a few lifestyle-related questions. Based on an individual’s answers the screen evaluated and showed their possible current heart condition.

  • Red: Indicates a healthy heart.
  • Maroon: Signals potential issues that need attention
  • Black: Suggests serious concerns that require immediate medical consultation

World Hypertension Day

The campaign by Medanta on World Hypertension Day was an initiative to educate the masses on the importance of regular monitoring of blood pressure. A seamless visitor journey was brought alive with engaging technology. The Holofan heart installation was a striking visual aid to engage visitors, while the interactive screens provided valuable information and a practical heart screening tool.

ISRO Partners with Manav Rachna University, Establishing New Milestone with GNSS Receiver Deployment

Manav Rachna University (MRU) becomes the First University in Delhi NCR to install a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver at Manav Rachna Campus in collaboration with the National Atmospheric Research Laboratory (NARL)-Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).

A distinguished team of NARL-ISRO scientists including Dr. Nirvikar Dashora, Scientist/Engineer-SF, Head of the Ionosphere and Space Physics Group at NARL, Gadanki, AP, Department of Space, GoI, and Mr. Himanshu S. Sethi, Scientist/Engineer-SE facilitated the event. It is one of the initiatives under cooperative research programs of NARL with national institutes and universities, employing GNSS receiver networks. They oversaw the installation of a comprehensive GNSS infrastructure, featuring a GNSS receiver, antenna, 30M RF cable, laptop, and iron mast at the Manav Rachna Campus.

The installation of the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver at MRU is part of the National Atmospheric Research Laboratory (NARL) North-South chain of receivers in collaboration with the ISRO Lab. It encompasses critical studies on weather, climate, space weather, and planetary ionospheres through GNSS receiver networks.

Scientists from NARL ISRO also delivered a talk on GNSS receivers aiming to encourage the faculty to perform multidisciplinary research in the domain of atmospheric and space research.

The installation of the GNSS receiver at MRU brings several key benefits. It enables multi-parametric data collection across various atmospheric and space parameters, significantly enhancing research capabilities in atmospheric sciences and related fields. Being a part of the NARL North-South chain of receivers, MRU will be integrated into a broader network of research institutions, fostering collaborative opportunities on both national and global scales. This initiative will also substantially benefit student projects and learning opportunities, particularly for those in the Sciences, Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), and Computer Science Engineering (CSE) departments. Students will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology and real-time data analysis. Furthermore, hosting a GNSS receiver as part of a prestigious national network elevates the university’s standing within both the Indian and global academic communities.

26th June 2024  Mumbai, Maharashtra, India  India’s leading private radio and entertainment network, Red FM, is thrilled to announce the success of ‘Guthli Returns’—a five-week campaign across Maharashtra and Gujarat in collaboration with Mission Mango. The initiative aimed to save farmers and empower them to secure their future through mango cultivation.

Collects 1 Million Mango Guthlis

Guthli Returns was a movement based on collecting mango seeds, turning them into saplings, and donating them to farmers below the poverty line. Listeners actively participated by visiting our stations or sending their contributions via courier. The Rotary Club of Mumbai pledged an additional 1,500 seeds to the initiative. An eight-month pregnant woman in Thane and Mahim organized 50 volunteers to contribute 5,000 seeds. RJ Malishka and listeners traveled to Murbad to engage with farmers, hosted by the agriculture department.

A group in Nashik sent a tempo with 1 lakh seeds, significantly boosting our collection efforts. Schools and colleges contributed thousands of seeds. Brands like Madhuban restaurant and Meetha by Radisson Hotels joined the cause, promising 3000 and 5000 seeds respectively. The Municipal Commissioner of Navi Mumbai adopted the campaign, promising widespread participation and an additional 1 lakh seeds.

Urban life might have distanced us from our agricultural roots but ‘Guthli Returns’ as a campaign had several touchpoints. We had aimed to bridge the gap between urban life and rural life, evoke responsibility in citizens of India, secure the future of farmers, and save our beloved national fruit mango from becoming extinct. We are beside ourselves to report that with the support of Indian citizens, we have been able to make a tangible difference in saving farmers and their livelihoods and mangoes. We are immensely proud of the nation for pouring in Guthlis and working for a greater cause together and towards social change.”
