Special Workshop on Promotion of Hindi Language Organized at IIM Kashipur

Kashipur, November 14, 2024: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur organized a special Hindi workshop on November 12, 2024, aimed at discussing the importance of the Hindi language, its increasing use in government offices, and its expansion in the field of management. The workshop also explored various ways to encourage the use of Hindi and make it more accessible.

The keynote speaker for this workshop was Mr. Jagdish Ram Pauri, Joint Director (Official Language) at the Ministry of Education, Government of India. He shared his insights on the various aspects of Hindi as the official language and its effective use in office and administrative work. Mr. Ram highlighted the government’s efforts to empower Hindi and emphasized the importance of adopting it in management institutions. He stated, “Using Hindi in the field of management will not only encourage the language but will also facilitate better communication between students and staff.”

The workshop was coordinated by the institute’s Hindi Officer, Mr. Sharad Kumar Srivastava, and Finance & Accounts Officer, CA Mrinal Sajwan. All staff members of the institute actively participated in the workshop, showing their interest in the promotion of Hindi language. Various sessions were organized during the workshop, which included discussions on writing, reading, and the use of Hindi in official work.

This Hindi workshop at IIM Kashipur played an important role in increasing language awareness among all attendees and inspired its more effective adoption in government offices. The workshop concluded with a commitment from all staff members to promote the extensive use of Hindi and establish it as a key language in the workplace.

Mumbai, 14th November 2024: Cosmo First Limited today declared its financial results for the quarter ended Sept 2024.

The improvement in EBIDTA is backed by higher specialty sales, enhanced volume and better BOPP film margins. The Company has reached speciality sales of 70% of total volume in Q2, FY25 as against 64% in FY24. The Q2, FY25 EBITDA would have been higher but for one time inventory loss (drop in raw material prices during the quarter).

BOPET vertical (about 9% of Company’s sales for Q2, FY25) has also witnessed better margins and posted double digit EBITDA in Q2, FY25 for the first time since its commissioning in FY22-23.

The Specialty Chemical subsidiary is advancing well to achieve high teens EBITDA and 30%+ ROCE in FY25.

Commenting on Company’s performance, Mr. Pankaj Poddar, Group CEO, Cosmo First Ltd said,

For Film business, the Company’s focus remains on specialty film and cost rationalization opportunities. Rigid packaging vertical launched in H2, FY24 is growing in line with plan and expected to achieve profitability and 90%+ capacity utilization in FY26. 14th November 2024: Hon’ble Prime Minister will launch and dedicate to the nation various initiatives of petroleum and natural gas sector worth Rs. 4,027 crore on 13th November. These initiatives will focus on providing cleaner and sustainable fuel and production of material aligning with the government’s vision of Make in India.

In aligning with the Govt. Of India’s vision to bring piped natural gas (PNG) to households and provide cleaner energy options for commercial and industrial sectors, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. is developing City Gas Distribution (CGD) network across five key districts of Bihar namely, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Supaul, Sitamarhi, and Sheohar with substantial investment of Rs. 3,638 crores.

This project is an important step towards fulfilling the commitment of net zero emissions by promoting the use of natural gas. Natural gas is an environment- friendly fuel that also plays an important role in reducing air pollution. It will also support homes, businesses, and industries alike. In addition, the project includes the commissioning of new CNG stations and the construction of a robust carbon steel pipeline network that will transport natural gas from Begusarai to Darbhanga, Madhubani, Sitamarhi, and Sheohar.

“Make in India” initiative has been a cornerstone in transforming India into a global manufacturing hub. With a strong focus on enhancing industrial capabilities, fostering innovation, and creating world-class infrastructure, the initiative aims to position India as a key player in the global economy. Bitumen Manufacturing Unit at Barauni Refinery of Indian Oil to be built with a cost of Rs. 389 crores will help in domestically producing bitumen, it will also decreases country’s reliance on imported bitumen, contributing to India’s economic self-sufficiency while also contributing to savings in foreign exchange earnings ~ $1.1 million.

With increasing demand for bitumen driven by infrastructure projects like Bharatmala Pariyojana, the project will facilitates timely availability of essential infrastructure materials, supporting the nation’s infrastructure development agenda.

These projects will accelerate industrial development in these districts, serving as a catalyst for economic growth and opening new doors for prosperity in Bihar.
