Two-Day Conclave on Cyber Security SHIELD 2025 concluded

yber Security SHIELD

Hyderabad, February 20, 2025…..The Two Day Conclave on Cyber Security SHIELD 2025 concluded at HICC on Wednesday evening

The chief guest at the closing ceremony was Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary of the Industries & Commerce (I&C) and Information Technology (IT) Departments of the Telangana government. Speaking on the occasion he appreciated the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau for a maiden successful conclave.

Recalling the launch of the Digital India initiative by the Prime Minister of India several years ago where he talked about a war, while there was no such physical war going on then. He was referring to Cyber Warfare which seems a reality now. ‘

The demonetization in the year 2016 and subsequent developments fueled by Covid, popularized digital transactions in India. The society has become increasingly digitized, so too have cyber security threats grown significantly. To counter this a two-factor authentication was introduced. People ridiculed it and thought it was not necessary. But, the faster they realise sooner the better for their secured digital footprint., he added

Enterprises and Startups must start focusing on Cybersecurity and secure their organizations from cyber threats. Let startups not think Cyber Security is only for big companies and tech giants. Enterprises are the backbone of new India. They are the growth engines of the Indian economy. Cyber Security threats loom large to them like any other organization. From malicious software to ransomware attacks to phishing, they are no exception and are prone to cyberattacks like any other organization. Cybersecurity is an aspect every startup requires to pay special attention to. Don’t think Cybersecurity is only for big companies and tech giants. A data breach could cost their newly founded business dearly, it can hurt their reputation, and jeopardize their future, he said.

Governments are no exception. Half of the responsibility of the government is to protect government assets. The onus of ensuring a Safe & Resilient Cyber Space in Telangana State was given to the Security Operations Centre (SOC). It was set up in 2017 to deploy capabilities to shield Government assets from cyber threats and attacks at the State Data Centre (SDC). Not a single security threat occurred in the last so many years. Telangana police have time again proved their mettle. They have solved the most complicated cyber security cases. Our state police today enjoy a stellar reputation said Mr. Jayesh Ranjan.

He appreciated the SHIELD for forging MoUs with IIT Hyderabad, ISB, and NALSAR. I suggest that they must also look at C-DAC, the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing. It’s an autonomous scientific society in India that conducts research and development in the fields of IT and electronics for partnership. Another equally important center is the Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence (CCoE) which catalyzes innovation, entrepreneurship,p, and capability building in cybersecurity and privacy. Whatever we do, crimes will never stop. So bring partners, he told

Mr. Rajan also emphasized the importance of AI and reminded us that Telangana was one of the first states in India to come out with an AI roadmap for ten years.

DGP Dr Jitenter who was the guest of honour at the closing said SHIELD 2025 served the purpose for which it was organised. Working together and working with each other is very important in any pioneering effort. Innocent people are losing money in cyber frauds. We must ensure that their hard-earned money is not lost. The state is a pioneer in setting up the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB). Its mission is to create a secure digital environment through transparent, unbiased, and efficient practices supported by cutting-edge technology and advanced forensic expertise. Law enforcement cannot work in isolation. All stakeholders must work in tandem, he said.

Shikha Goel, Director of TGCSB said the maiden attempt of SHIELD 2025 was worth its effort. We toiled hard for two months to put up this show together. It is very satisfying, she said.

The key focus areas for SHIELD were Ransomware and Cryptocurrency; Deepfakes and social media; Cyber Resilience for MSMEs; Decoding Nation-State Actors; Protecting Women in the Digital Age; Mule Hunters, Breaking the chain; AI to Redefine Defense strategies; Securing the Supply Chain; Shielding innocence – Combatting CSEAM and VOIP Vigilantes: Internet-based scams. Ms Shika Goel shared.

The conclave witnessed the representation of 1000 delegates from 14 states. Besides talks, panels, and workshops, an immersive experience zone created exclusively featured cutting-edge Technology Experience Zone, an interactive passage where delegates could engage directly with the most advanced innovations in cybersecurity.

We have forged partnerships with ISB, IIT Hyderabad, and NALSAR University. We will soon formalize this partnership by exchanging MoUs with them, the officer announced. The launch of the Cyber Fusion Centre (CFC); the Child Protection Unit (CPU) and the Security Operations Centre (SOC) during the opening marks significant milestones, she said.

Mr Avinash Mohanty, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad in his welcome address described the conclave as an event of two full days of learning.

Bangalore Hospitals Launches State-of-the-Art Dialysis Centre with VIP Facilities

Bangalore Hospitals

Bangalore, India 20th Feb 2025 – Bangalore Hospitals, a pioneer in advanced healthcare, proudly announces the launch of its state-of-the-art Dialysis Centre, designed to provide high-quality, safe, and comfortable dialysis care for patients with chronic kidney conditions.

The new facility, located in Tower Two of Bangalore Hospitals, features a dedicated VIP dialysis room, 24/7 accessibility, and the latest Fresenius dialysis machines, ensuring superior treatment standards. This expansion aligns with Bangalore Hospitals’ commitment to offering comprehensive, patient-centric healthcare solutions.

Dialysis patients often require treatment three times a week for four hours each session, making comfort and safety essential. The Bangalore Hospitals Dialysis Centre is designed to address these needs with aesthetic and functional enhancements. Patients will have access to spacious wide beds instead of standard recliners, private TVs for each patient, a dedicated VIP dialysis room with a private kitchen and seating area for family members, single-use consumables, and high-quality dialysate solutions to minimize infection risks. The center will also have 24/7 nephrology team supervision, ensuring immediate medical support in case of emergencies.

“Our goal is to provide a dialysis experience that is not only medically superior but also comfortable and stress-free for patients,” said Dr. Abhishek Mannem, Medical Director of Bangalore Hospitals.

The center adheres to global safety protocols, incorporating Fresenius dialysis machines, single-use tubing, and dialysate solutions to prevent cross-contamination, and regular serology testing to monitor patient health. Patients will also have access to customized packages and membership programs for affordable and seamless care.

Unlike standalone dialysis centers, this facility is integrated with Bangalore Hospitals’ main hospital, ensuring immediate access to ICU and emergency services if required. This eliminates delays in critical care, offering patients peace of mind during treatment.

Understanding the financial burden of long-term dialysis, the hospital offers custom patient packages for cost-effective care, insurance coverage and reimbursement options, and a location that reduces travel time for those requiring frequent sessions.

Since its establishment in 1991, Bangalore Hospitals has been a leader in innovative medical solutions. This new Dialysis Centre reflects the hospital’s mission of delivering global standards of care in India, bridging the gap between treatment protocols in the U.S. and India.

“Dialysis should not feel like a clinical burden. Our vision is to create an experience where patients feel at home—watching a movie, relaxing in a positive environment, and receiving world-class treatment,” said Dr. Lahari Surapaneni, CEO of Bangalore Hospitals.

Actress Aleya Ghosh Takes the Lead in Shemaroo Umang’s ‘Jamuniya,’ Tackling Beauty Norms

In a world where beauty is often measured by skin color, Shemaroo Umang is ready to challenge these long-standing stereotypes with its new show, Jamuniya.

The first look of the show introduces us to Jamuniya, played by the talented Aleya Ghosh—a fearless woman who refuses to let society define beauty by skin tone. Set against the lively backdrop of a village mela, the teaser takes us on an emotional journey.

A group of young girls excitedly browse through dolls, looking for one that resembles them. But amidst the cheerful crowd, a little girl’s smile fades—she can’t find a doll with her skin tone. When she asks for one, the shopkeeper’s response stings: “No one buys dark-colored dolls.” His words echo the deep-rooted bias that has existed for generations.

Just when silence threatens to take over, Jamuniya steps forward—strong, confident, and unshaken. She assures the little girl that beauty isn’t defined by the world’s prejudices but by the strength within. True beauty isn’t found on store shelves—it shines from within, just like the vast night sky.

As the teaser ends, it leaves us with a powerful question:

“Rang ke chashme se dekhti hai duniya… kya duniya ka nazariya badal payegi, Jamuniya?”

Can one woman challenge a mindset ingrained for generations?

Speaking about her role, Aleya Ghosh shared, “Fair skin has always been considered the beauty standard and there have been many stories around this. But what truly drew me to this show was its unique perspective. Usually, we see society imposing these biases, but in Jamuniya’s case, even her own family doesn’t see her worth. In the promo the pain of the little girl reflects the hurt that many girls experience, and Jamuniya will become the voice that challenges these deep-rooted beauty stereotypes. How a small-town girl fights against all odds to prove herself is something you’ll have to watch in Jamuniya!”
