Devangi Nishar Parekh Makes a Sophisticated Style Statement at the Cannes Film Festival, Spotlighting the Best of Indian Artistry

19th May, 2025- New Delhi — Devangi Nishar Parekh, Managing Director of Aza Fashions and one of India’s leading voices in luxury fashion retail, continued her Cannes journey with a series of standout looks that celebrated India’s rich textile heritage and contemporary design brilliance.

Devangi Nishar

In a striking creation by Anamika Khanna, Devangi donned a refined satin pantsuit in a soft beige tone that brought an understated elegance to the Cannes stage. The look highlighted India’s lesser-known lacework traditions, with delicate handmade detailing placed along the shoulders, hem, and trouser cuffs. Accentuated by hand-painted floral motifs reminiscent of Mughal miniatures and Kalamkari art, the silhouette embodied a poetic balance between structure and softness. Modern yet steeped in heritage, the outfit brought together East and West, craft and couture—each detail a quiet ode to Indian artistry reimagined for the global stage.

Devangi Nishar Parekh

Her second look, once again by the celebrated Anamika Khanna, was a vibrant, print-led celebration of India’s cultural and geographic diversity. The flowing skirt and blouse featured abstract brushstroke motifs in a palette inspired by the country’s vast landscapes—from the pinks of Jaipur to the blues of Jodhpur. Intricate embroidery around the neckline and waistband drew from traditional crafts such as Kasuti, mirror work, zardosi, and gota patti. The result was a richly layered visual narrative—each thread a reflection of India’s artisan legacy and the spirit of unity in diversity.

For her third appearance, she wore a striking creation by Nupur Kanoi: a fully embroidered bustier paired with a flowing jacket featuring signature fringe detailing and coordinated pants.

From the designer’s latest collection Maya, the look was hand-embroidered using traditional techniques like kantha, 3D beadwork, and sequin sheeting—fusing age-old craft with modern ease. A perfect reflection of the India Modern aesthetic, the outfit carried both heritage and global appeal.

Devangi Nishar Parekh said, “Wearing pieces that speak so deeply to India’s culture and craftsmanship at Cannes has been incredibly meaningful. Each look I chose was rooted in storytelling, from intricate handwork to artistic prints, and reflects what Aza stands for: bridging tradition and modernity with a global voice.”

With a discerning eye for curation and a deep respect for artisanship, Devangi’s presence at Cannes reinforces her role as a powerful ambassador for Indian fashion. Through her style, she continues to champion homegrown creativity on one of the world’s most influential cultural stages.

24 Designs for 24 Years: Lakshita’s Ode to the Ever-Evolving Indian Woman

New Delhi, May 19th, 2025 | As Lakshita steps into its 24th year, the brand is preparing to unveil a striking new collection that celebrates the many powers of the modern Indian woman. In a moment steeped in style and spirit, the brand pre-announces a limited-edition drop of 24 designs, each a sartorial homage to strength, movement, individuality, and the evolving essence of femininity.

Lakshita’s 24th Anniversary Collection is a culmination of nearly a quarter-century of empowering women across India through fashion that doesn’t just emulate trends, but follows women: into meetings, into milestones, into moments of quiet power. Titled as an ode to “The Power Within,” this celebratory collection captures that spirit and projects it forward with renewed clarity and purpose.

Speaking on the imminent collection launch, Mr. Sachin Kharbanda, Co-Founder and Managing Director, Lakshita, said, “For our 24th year, we distilled years of design thinking, cultural listening, and craft into these pieces. Lakshita has always championed the philosophy of wearable confidence, making thoughtful, inclusive clothing for women from all walks of life. From homemakers to hustlers, from first jobs to second innings, Lakshita has grown with, and because of, the women who wear it. This new collection is a tribute to that evolution. At Lakshita, we know that the perfect form of a woman is ever-changing, and so are we. This moment is a milestone, but also a reminder that style must never be static.”

Six Pillars, 24 Expressions: A Collection Rooted in Lakshita’s Renewed Intent

Drawing from six core brand pillars: Power to Move, Power to Express, Power of Comfort, Power to Own, Power to Rise, and Power to Choose, the collection curates 24 distinct pieces that live within these ideals. Together, they compose a larger narrative: Power isn’t loud. Power is layered. And it lives within.

  •  Power to Move: Clothing that transitions seamlessly from morning rush to midnight calm. These designs feature fluid silhouettes, airy fabrics, flared bottoms, and smart co-ords, an effortless marriage of stretch, flow, and function.
  • Power to Express: Self-expression takes center stage with bold prints, artistic cuts, asymmetric hems, and statement embellishments. These are pieces that speak first, before the wearer says a word.
  • Power of Comfort: Here, style meets softness. Cotton, modal, and linen blends form the backbone of relaxed fits, lounge-to-street options, and elevated casuals, proving that comfort is the quiet foundation of confidence.
  • Power to Own: Subtle strength is the mood. Minimalist silhouettes, soft pastels, and timeless layering pieces let the wearer show up exactly as they are, unfiltered, unfussy, and fully themselves.
  • Power to Rise: A tribute to ambition, these pieces channel presence and polish. Think sharply tailored kurtas, luxe fabric blends, and jewel-toned palettes that redefine traditional power dressing.
  • Power to Choose: Versatility reigns. Day-to-night styles, mix-and-match separates, and designs for all body types create an adaptable wardrobe that celebrates choice, not conformity.

Each piece in the collection has been designed to not just accompany a woman through her day, but to mirror her evolving rhythm.

Set to launch later this month, the collection will be available online and across Lakshita’s stores nationwide. As anticipation builds, the brand invites its community to not just shop the collection, but to see themselves in it.
