Eka Care’s AI-powered EkaScribe transforms clinical documentation for doctors across India

Bengaluru, India – September 15th,2025Eka Care, India’s leading connected healthcare platform, is driving rapid adoption of EkaScribe – an ambient medical scribe, its AI-powered medical documentation assistant that helps doctors save time, reduce administrative burden, and deliver better patient care.

EkaScribe listens to doctor-patient conversations during consultations and generates structured clinical notes in real time. The tool integrates seamlessly with Eka Care’s electronic medical record (EMR) system and is compliant with Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) standards. Importantly, EkaScribe can also integrate with any EHR/EMR platform that doctors, hospitals, or clinics may already be using, ensuring interoperability and flexibility across the healthcare ecosystem.

EkaScrib

“Doctors in India spend nearly a third of their consultation time typing or writing notes,” said Vikalp Sahni, Founder, Eka Care. “With EkaScribe, we are putting that time back into the doctor-patient interaction. Our vision is to make clinical documentation effortless so that doctors can focus on what matters most — delivering quality care.”

Built for inclusivity and advanced doctor workflows

EkaScribe has been designed to work seamlessly in regional languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Gujarati, and many more, making it highly inclusive for India’s diverse healthcare system. It supports both voice and text entry, enabling doctors to capture information in the way that best fits their workflow.

Going beyond simple note-taking, EkaScribe can auto-generate prescriptions, symptom logs, and medical histories. It also processes uploaded audios and converts them into structured, actionable insights.

At its core, EkaScribe is powered by Eka’s in-house “Parrotlet” AI model, which brings together document understanding, reasoning, and multilingual voice/text comprehension—making state-of-the-art AI a part of everyday clinical practice.

Addressing a critical need

Documentation remains one of the most time-consuming tasks in clinical practice, often contributing to physician burnout. On average, doctors spend 3–5 minutes per patient recording medical history, symptoms, and treatment notes. With EkaScribe, this process becomes automated, significantly improving productivity and reducing fatigue.

Since its introduction, EkaScribe has seen strong adoption across clinics, hospitals & healthcare companies. Early users reported saving over one hour per day in administrative work, enabling them to see more patients and improve consultation quality. One such user, Clinikk, highlighted the transformative impact EkaScribe had on their workflows:

“The bigger unlock has been our ability to capture the rich social, family, and health context about a patient that often comes up in conversation but usually goes undocumented during a clinical encounter. This has opened up a range of new, high-value use cases for our business that were previously out of reach,” said Sehj Kashyap, Head of Product at Clinikk, one of the healthcare companies to integrate EkaScribe into their ecosystem.

Driving digital health adoption

EkaScribe also contributes to the creation of longitudinal digital health records, a critical building block for India’s digital health ecosystem. Patients benefit from accurate, structured, and portable records accessible through the Eka Care app, aligned with ABDM.

“Generative AI is creating new possibilities across industries, and healthcare is one of the most important frontiers,” said Deepak Tuli, Co-founder, Eka Care. “EkaScribe demonstrates how AI can solve real, everyday challenges for doctors while accelerating India’s digital health journey.”

Behind every trend is a story, every design a strategy, and every successful brand a journey of persistence, – Pallavi Jain, Chairperson, YFLO

Hyderabad, September 14, 2025: Fashion is not just about fabric; it is about emotion, identity, and culture. While Artificial Intelligence (AI) may automate tasks, it cannot replace the intuition, imagination, and cultural understanding of a designer. This was the central message from four leading fashion voices—Karan Torani, Tanya Ghavri, Namrata Joshipura, and Anjali Gaekwar—who engaged in a thought-provoking conversation with Ms. Pallavi Jain, Chairperson of YFLO (Young FICCI Ladies Organisation) at a session titled ‘Style Speaks Strategy’, held on Saturday evening at Park Hyatt, Banjara Hills.

Setting the tone for the evening, Pallavi Jain, Chairperson of YFLO, said, “Knowledge is power. And today, we exchange knowledge not through textbooks or boardrooms, but through the language of style, creativity, and strategy. Fashion is more than what we wear—it builds economies, drives innovation, and creates identity. Behind every trend lies a story, behind every design lies strategy, and behind every successful brand lies years of knowledge and persistence.”

Speaking about AI & Fashion, they said it is A Tool, not a Threat. The panellists emphasised that while AI will not replace designers, it will transform their roles.

Karan Torani, designer and founder of Torani, remarked: “Like photography didn’t kill painting, AI won’t kill fashion design—it will transform it. AI will take over repetitive work, but designers will move deeper into creative direction, storytelling, sustainability, and emotional branding.”

He added, “Let any technology come, Indians don’t forget their roots. Take weddings, for instance—we may live in a tech world, but the ‘bandwala’ still plays on.”

Tanya Ghavri, celebrity stylist, observed, “AI has intelligence, but humans have imagination. Machines may compute, but only the human mind can think and imagine.”

She also addressed the profession’s rise: “Until a decade ago, the word stylist was limited to film sets or magazines. Today, stylists are in demand not just in Bollywood but also in OTT, advertising, weddings, corporate shoots, and social media. Styling has transformed from behind-the-scenes to one of the most aspirational careers.”

Anjali Gaekwar, luxury retail entrepreneur and co-founder of Lighthouse, added: “Design is in our DNA—it is our identity. AI is just a tool. The Indian luxury consumer has evolved from aspiration to appreciation—seeking not just products but experiences and authenticity.”

Namrata Joshipura, internationally renowned fashion designer, stated: “Indian fashion is no longer confined to geography. Our craftsmanship has a universal language, and when blended with modern silhouettes, it resonates with women across the world.”

The panel also acknowledged concerns about AI copying signature styles and the risk of markets being flooded with cheap lookalikes—making copyright and originality urgent issues for the industry.

The speakers agreed that India remains unique in its fashion, style, and culture, and that Indian brands need not fear foreign competition.

Fashion is both local and global, and India has the advantage of heritage and innovation,” they noted.

Over 200 FLO and YFLO members attended the session. The session also had Fashion Trivia, where attendees divided into groups and tested their fashion IQ.

Redevelopment Projects set to transform Mumbai’s Skyline by 2030

Mumbai 13 september 2025:Mumbai’s housing market is on the brink of a major transformation, as ongoing society redevelopment projects are expected to add over 44,277 new homes valued at INR 1,305 billion by 2030, according to a recent report by Knight Frank India.

Mumbai’s Housing Makeover - 44,000+ New Homes from Society Redevelopment by 2030

The study reveals that since 2020, 910 housing societies across the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) limits have signed development agreements, unlocking nearly 327 acres of land for redevelopment. Despite this surge, the city has only begun to tap into its vast potential, with an estimated 1.6 lakh societies over 30 years old still eligible for redevelopment.

The Western Suburbs, stretching from Bandra to Borivali, account for the lion’s share of redevelopment activity with 32,354 units (73% of the total pipeline). This is followed by the Central Suburbs with 10,422 units, Central Mumbai with 1,085 units, and South Mumbai with 416 units. Hotspots such as Borivali, Andheri, and Bandra together contribute nearly 139 acres of redevelopment activity, underscoring their position as the city’s leading transformation corridors. Between 2020 and H1 2025, the Western Suburbs alone accounted for 633 out of 910 society deals, recording 70% of all agreements signed since 2020. Central Suburbs may add another 234 societies, pushing the suburban contribution to almost 96%.

Beyond housing supply, redevelopment also carries major fiscal benefits. The free sale component from society redevelopment is expected to generate approximately Rs 7,830 crore in stamp duty and another Rs 6,525 crore as GST over the next five years.

Data indicates that over 80% of redevelopment deals signed since 2020 involved societies with plot sizes below 0.49 acres—highlighting the dominance of small, compact projects. Yet, larger cluster projects are gradually gaining momentum, hinting at a shift in the city’s redevelopment model.

Welcoming the findings, industry leaders emphasized the economic and social importance of redevelopment:

Mr. Prashant Sharma, President, NAREDCO Maharashtra said, “Redevelopment is the most vital force driving Mumbai’s real estate growth today. With limited greenfield land availability, society redevelopment not only provides safer, modern homes for existing residents but also fuels the city’s housing supply pipeline. The Knight Frank findings highlight how this opportunity, if supported by policy stability, faster approvals, and rational taxation, can be the foundation for Mumbai’s urban transformation. It is imperative that all stakeholders – government, developers, and housing societies – work in sync to ensure timely execution and affordability.”

Mr. Vikas Jain, CEO, Labdhi Lifestyle and President, NAREDCO Maharashtra NextGen said, “Redevelopment is the future of Mumbai’s real estate, and the report captures its economic and social significance well. The younger generation of developers and professionals see this as an opportunity to infuse new ideas, technology, and customer-centric practices into legacy housing clusters. It is also a chance to address the city’s housing shortage in a sustainable way. The focus now should be on collaborative governance and faster project timelines, so that the benefits reach both residents and the broader economy in time.”

Mr. Navin Makhija, Managing Director, The Wadhwa Group said, “Society redevelopment is a win-win for all stakeholders – residents get modern homes with upgraded lifestyle amenities, developers gain access to scarce land parcels, and the state benefits through increased revenues while contributing to the central government’s ‘Housing for All’ initiative. Housing demand continues to remain robust, further fueling growth in the redevelopment sector. Customers also benefit by gaining access to multiple project options as redevelopment unlocks new housing opportunities in their preferred locations.”

A Spokesperson from Chandak Group added, “The sheer scale of society redevelopment in Mumbai points to the city’s unique growth story. With over 44,000 new homes expected by 2030, the transformation is unprecedented. Developers today carry the responsibility of balancing aspiration with execution. We believe redevelopment is not just about buildings but about creating thriving communities with better infrastructure, amenities, and quality of life. A stable policy framework will further accelerate this transition.”

Mr. Dhruman Shah, Promoter, Ariha Group said, “Society redevelopment is no longer just an alternative – it is the primary growth driver for Mumbai’s housing market. The numbers shared reaffirm the enormous potential of this segment. For developers, the opportunity lies in bringing efficiency, transparency, and trust into the process, ensuring that societies feel confident in handing over their most valuable asset. With strong demand, government revenues, and improved infrastructure, redevelopment will continue to be the backbone of Mumbai’s real estate growth story.

With nearly 160,000 societies aged over 30 years and eligible for redevelopment, the sector’s potential is immense. While Knight Frank projects an optimistic outlook, developers caution that timely execution, transparent practices, and policy support will determine whether this transformation can be delivered at scale.
