This year, design is playing an even bigger role, with products that bring couture-inspired artistry, indulgence, and vibrant energy into everyday living spaces. From laminates, bathroom fixtures to paints, brands are offering collections that make it easier than ever for homeowners to turn their homes into runways of celebration.

Laminates are at the heart of this transformation, allowing people to infuse drama and personality into walls, cabinetry, and furniture. With rich textures and striking finishes, they provide both functionality and style, perfect for festive-ready homes.

This festive season, products are doing more than decorating homes, they are enabling homeowners to celebrate their individuality with surfaces, fixtures, and colours that blend innovation with artistry. With every new design, Indian homes are stepping onto the runway of celebration, ready to host the season in style.

Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli | 19 September 2025 – While the world divides, a spectacular wave of culture, artistry, and compassion is weaving it back together at the One World One Family World Cultural Festival 2025 in Karnataka. Hosted at Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli, this one-of-a-kind festival is uniting the arts, traditions, wisdom, and spirit of service from every corner of the globe under one roof, celebrating humanity as one family. Taking place from 16 August to 23 November, this unprecedented gathering is a beacon of unity amid diversity.

Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai with Sri D V Sadananda Gowda, Former Chief Minister of Karnataka at the One World One Family Cultural Festival 2025

Hosted by the One World One Family Mission, which has a presence in over 100 countries, the Festival has become a crossroads where spiritual leaders, humanitarians, dignitaries, artists and audiences from across the globe come together as One World, One Family

Renowned spiritual leaders from Lebanon, Japan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and North Macedonia shared timeless wisdom at the Festival that stirred hearts and minds. Among their powerful reflections were: “The greatest testimony of faith is to love without condition and serve without expectation,” and “Every act of kindness, however small, reminds us that we are not strangers but members of one human family.” At the heart of their message was a call to see our differences not as barriers, but as precious gifts that, when embraced as a way of life, can unite the world in the spirit of oneness.

The Festival has drawn eminent dignitaries including Sheikh Humaid Bin Abdullah Al Mualla, Member of the Royal Family of the United Arab Emirates; Yousef Mustafa Ali Abdel Ghani, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to India; Aloys Bizindavyi, Ambassador of the Republic of Burundi to India; and Alexis Bukuru, Ambassador of the Republic of Burundi to South Africa. They hailed the Festival as a powerful platform for global dialogue, harmony, and shared responsibility in addressing the world’s greatest challenges.

The Festival stage came alive with performances celebrating the richness of world cultures. Highlights included Lebanon’s “Love is My Identity” concert, South Africa’s 13 Voices, the Royal Drummers of Burundi, Soca rhythms from Trinidad and Tobago, Zimbabwe’s traditional dances, Mbakumba, Shangara, and Dinhe, melodies from Germany and Greece, Japan’s Spirit of Prayer, Jordan’s lively Dabke, and a classic ballet from Russia. This diversity of music, dance, and art showed that when love crosses all borders, humanity truly thrives.

Beyond culture, the Festival exemplifies the Mission’s spirit of selfless service. The One World One Family Mission has been providing life-saving nutrition, healthcare, and education—entirely free of charge to communities across the world, turning compassion into action.

This grace-in-action takes many forms, including surgeries and life-saving surgeries and medicine, therapy and counselling, mobility aids, neonatal care equipment, and sustained elder care; cooked meal distributions, ration kits, and monthly food baskets; university scholarships and fee support, school supplies and uniforms, values-based education, daycare support, and community blood donation drives.

The Festival honoured outstanding humanitarians for their contributions in Education, Healthcare, Women and Child Welfare, Music and Fine Arts, and Corporate Governance, with the most prestigious One World One Family Humanitarian Award 2025 presented to His Excellency Kgalema Motlanthe, former President of South Africa, in recognition of his lifelong commitment to justice, dialogue, and social cohesion.

The Festival also honoured global leaders for their vision, innovation, and dedication to addressing complex challenges and creating a better world for all.

At the heart of the celebration was Sri Madhusudan Sai’s discourses on the Ashtavakra Gita, which inspired the audience on the path of self-realisation and the journey from diversity to divinity. In one of the inspiring sessions, he cited: “Don’t absorb negativity; don’t match it. Protect your energy, lead with love, and guard your peace – that’s your real power.” He also encouraged everyone to choose discipline over impulse and cultivate discernment, allowing higher intelligence to take the lead and guide their actions.

As part of the One World One Family World Cultural Festival, the One World One Family Mission is also celebrating the key Indian Festivals that reflect the timeless wisdom of Sanathana Dharma. These festivals guide humanity toward a life rooted in Dharma (righteous duty), Karma (the law of cause and effect), and the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family).

The Navaratri and Ati Rudra Maha Yagna celebrations, taking place from 22 September to 2 October at Sathya Sai Grama, will showcase Sanathana Dharma in its deepest spiritual expression.

The One World One Family World Cultural Festival 2025 is an once-in-a-lifetime celebration of what’s possible when humanity and spirituality come together with pure intent and selfless love. Visitors are invited to be part of this global gathering of love, peace, spirituality and shared humanity

Narayana Health Champions Women’s Heart Care with Record-Breaking ECG Drive

Narayana Health Conducts Record 11,786 ECGs for Women in a Single Day Across India

Bengaluru, 19 September 2025: Narayana Health, India’s leading healthcare provider, has set a new benchmark in preventive cardiac care by conducting 11,786 free ECG screenings for women across its 20+ hospitals and healthcare centres in a single day. This initiative was part of a nationwide campaign in support of the Government of India’s Swasth Naari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan, launched on 17th September 2025 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to strengthen healthcare services for women and children across the country.

Dr Devi Shetty The screenings, conducted on the same day, were aimed at raising awareness about the importance of early detection of cardiovascular diseases in women  a demographic often underdiagnosed in cardiac care. The initiative reflects Narayana Health’s commitment to aligning with public health goals and enhancing access to quality preventive healthcare for women across both urban and rural India.

Breaking Records & Reaching Hearts Nationwide

In a record-breaking initiative focused on women’s heart health, Narayana Health has successfully conducted 11,786 ECG screenings for women across its hospitals — nearly tripling last year’s record of 3,797 ECGs (conducted for both men and women). This year’s effort not only exceeded expectations but also broke Narayana Health’s own 2023 world record for ECGs conducted in a single day.

The campaign was led by Narayana Health City, Bengaluru, which achieved an extraordinary feat by performing 5,500+ ECGs in a single day — the highest number ever recorded at a single facility.

Other major contributors included:

At Narayana Health, we believe that preventive care is the foundation of a healthy nation, and this initiative reflects our commitment to align with the Government’s vision of Swasth Naari, Sashakt Parivar.”

Dr. Emmanuel Rupert, Group CEO of Narayana Health, added, “The response we have received from across the country is a testament to the growing awareness about preventive health. Through this initiative, we not only reached women in major cities but also ensured participation in smaller towns and communities. Our teams across 20+ units worked tirelessly to make this campaign a success, highlighting Narayana Health’s strength as a national healthcare network.”

Why It Matters

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death among women in India, accounting for almost 18% of all female deaths, according to the Global Burden of Disease Study. In fact, heart disease kills more Indian women than breast cancer and all other cancers combined.

Cardiologists at Narayana Health stress that an ECG (Electrocardiogram) is a simple, non-invasive, and quick test that can identify early signs of heart abnormalities. Early detection through regular screenings significantly improves outcomes by enabling timely intervention and lifestyle management.

A Legacy of Impact

This milestone builds on Narayana Health’s continued focus on high-impact preventive health. In 2023, Narayana Health City, Bengaluru set a world record by conducting 3,797 ECGs in 24 hours at a single venue — a record it has now shattered in 2025 with 5,500+ ECGs in a day.

The 2025 campaign underscores how public-private collaboration and community engagement can create powerful momentum in addressing India’s most pressing health challenges — especially those affecting women.

Azul Platform Prime Hits Milestone: 10,000+ JVMs Slash Cloud Costs Significantly

India — September 18, 2025 — Azul, the only company 100% focused on Java, today announced a breakthrough in cloud deployment at scale with Azul Platform Prime, its high-performance Java platform. A leading global enterprise has deployed hundreds of applications and micro-services across more than 10,000 Java Virtual Machines (JVMs) using Platform Prime’s Optimizer Hub, a unique capability that allows JVMs to collaborate and share performance optimizations. By enabling this fleet-wide intelligence, the customer’s applications – spanning e-commerce to payments to inventory management – start and warm up dramatically faster, scaling has become smoother and compute requirements have significantly reduced, delivering cloud cost savings of more than 20%.

Another well-known company in the entertainment industry recently deployed Optimizer Hub to reduce CPU core and pod counts for their Java-based critical services by 25%-30%. Optimizer Hub is included with Platform Prime as an optional, customer-managed service that requires no changes to existing Java applications or JVM-based workloads.

Turning the Limits of Traditional JVMs into Superior User Experiences and Measurable Cost Savings

Today’s cloud-native Java applications and JVM-based workloads, often comprising fleets of thousands of compute instances and containers, face inherent challenges in achieving a stringent set of requirements, including:

  • Delivering smooth customer experiences where even the slightest unexpected latency or performance deficiency will fall short of service level expectations.
  • Leveraging cloud elasticity to autoscale, bringing new capacity online at full performance to efficiently match peaks in demand and optimize carrying capacity.
  • Efficiently restarting large fleets of container-based microservices as applications evolve with new features and capabilities.

Traditional JVMs optimize in isolation and often deliver lower overall code performance and exhibit spiky, unpredictable behavior. To avoid poor customer experience and meet service level expectations, enterprises are forced to over-provision their cloud resources, resulting in spiraling cloud costs. In the 2025 State of Java Survey & Report, 71% of survey respondents say that more than 20% of their cloud compute capacity is unused. By enabling JVMs across an enterprise fleet to collaborate by sending and receiving optimizations and learnings using Optimizer Hub’s centralized services, Platform Prime achieves levels of cloud scale, elasticity, resiliency and cost efficiencies that are unparalleled.

Azul Platform Prime with Optimizer Hub

Azul Platform Prime is a high-performance Java platform that includes Azul Zing, an enhanced build of OpenJDK, that is the world’s fastest, most scalable and most resilient Java runtime. Optimizer Hub is an additional component of Azul Platform Prime, designed to further improve cloud-centric Java application startup, warm-up and runtime performance by offloading optimization tasks from the individual Zing JVMs. Optimizer Hub is ideal for modern applications running in containerized, elastic cloud environments with contemporary DevOps practices. It comprises two services that run in a customer’s environment:

  • Cloud Native Compiler provides centralized JIT compilation and caching to deliver cost savings and efficiency. Cloud Native Compiler shifts the heavy work of JIT compilation from individual JVMs to a centralized, scalable service, slashing CPU workloads on each JVM and caching compilation for reuse. The resulting code runs faster, handles more traffic with less CPU, and realizes full speed more quickly and smoothly. By eliminating the overhead that comes when each JVM consumes its own CPU resources to compile the Java workload in isolation, each JVM can be deployed in smaller instances and containers, reducing cloud costs.
  • ReadyNow is a feature in Platform Prime that addresses Java’s warm-up problem by logging and reusing JIT compiler profiling and optimization data between JVM runs. ReadyNow Orchestrator delivers intelligent curation of the ReadyNow optimization profiles to ensure each application and microservice is using the best profile and simplifies operational use of ReadyNow. Whether during retail rushes, gaming traffic spikes, or financial market opens, ReadyNow Orchestrator ensures consistent responsiveness, fewer errors and higher SLA attainment from the first request onward. It also enables faster CI/CD redeployments for smoother fleet rollouts, higher resilience under heavy workloads and faster recovery from infrastructure failures, streamlining DevOps at scale.

“Java powers the backbone of the digital economy, but performance challenges with traditional JDKs have led enterprises to overprovision cloud resources and adopt complex operational practices,” said Scott Sellers, co-founder and CEO at Azul. “With the centralized services of Optimizer Hub, Azul Platform Prime has eliminated long-standing tradeoffs of performance and cost by enabling JVMs to learn from each other and collaborate across entire fleets in production, delivering faster, smoother application experiences while driving down cloud costs by 20%+. Optimizer Hub is a must-have for every business running JVM-based, mission-critical workloads in the cloud.”
