New Delhi, Apr 22: As the world marks Earth DayEBG Foundation has launched ‘Sambhav Hai’, a nationwide initiative spearheaded by EBG Group Founder and Chairman Dr Irfan Khan to drive climate action at the grassroots and build stronger, more sustainable rural communities. The programme begins with the adoption of Charla Thanda in Telangana’s Nalgonda district, laying the groundwork for a scalable, community-led transformation.

Positioned as a key pillar within the Foundation’s broader nation-building agenda, Sambhav Hai moves beyond fragmented development efforts through a unified, data-driven framework, with a long-term vision of developing carbonneutral villages across India. The initiative aims to reduce carbon emissions by 10–20 percent in the first year, progressing towards full carbon neutrality within three years.

The initiative will roll out in phases beginning with 50 villages in Year 1 with an allocation of ₹30 crore, expanding to 150 villages in Year 2 and scaling up to 750 villages along with the support of government institutions. This phased roadmap establishes Sambhav Hai as one of the most ambitious rural sustainability programmes in the country.

At Charla Thanda, the Foundation has initiated on-ground interventions beginning with household-level data mapping to establish a comprehensive climate and resource baseline. The programme will focus on improving access to safe drinking water, strengthening groundwater recharge systems, and implementing structured waste segregation and composting solutions.

Afforestation drives and regenerative land practices will further enhance green cover, while local volunteers are being trained to sustain these efforts. The village will serve as a live demonstration of the ‘Minus One Village’ model, creating a blueprint for replication across regions.

Speaking on the launch, Dr Irfan Khan said, “Real change cannot come from isolated interventions. With Sambhav Hai, we are building a model where environmental sustainability, economic progress, and community ownership go hand in hand. Our aim is to empower villages with the tools, data, and accountability systems they need to lead their own transformation and contribute meaningfully to India’s climate goals.”

In parallel with the phased roadmap, the Foundation will initiate work across multiple states as part of its broader national rollout, expanding the programme’s footprint beyond Telangana and strengthening its vision of a pan-India rural sustainability movement.

In addition, Demanlink’s maiden B2S site in Kampung Jepak, Bintulu will deliver seamless network coverage for the surrounding residential and commercial areas as well as a nearby transport network. The new telecommunications site is also strategically located close to six schools and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) centres, enabling students and educators to access digital learning platforms and online educational resources with high-speed connectivity. The tower is also expected to strengthen mobile coverage along nearby stretches of the Pan Borneo Highway, improving connectivity, navigation and safety for users of the state’s key transport corridor.

It seeks innovations that improve reliability, efficiency, and decision-making across water systems, particularly in strengthening supply reliability, redesigning water-intensive processes, and enhancing system intelligence.

The challenge invites solutions across three key focus areas:

  1. Ensuring Water Supply ReliabilityInnovations that ensure dependable water supply at both the site level and across broader water systems, from individual facilities and campuses to citywide and regional networks. This focus area prioritizes solutions that secure availability, continuity and quality of supply under increasing variability, disruption and operational stress, as climate extremes, energy instability and contamination risks increasingly affect interconnected systems.
  2. Redesigning Water-Intensive Industrial and Digital Processes Innovations that fundamentally re-engineer processes where water use, heat management and production continuity are tightly coupled. This focus area prioritizes solutions that reduce water intensity, improve system stability and decouple performance from freshwater dependence in water-critical operations.
  3. Water System Intelligence for Decision Making – Technologies that improve visibility, prediction and decision-making across water systems, from facility operations to basin-scale planning. This focus area prioritizes tools that turn data into actionable decisions, strengthening preparedness and enabling earlier intervention in response to water stress, quality changes, and climate-driven volatility.

Complemented by access to strategic partners, this support has further accelerated the growth of Aquapreneurs, enabling them to enter new markets, launch new products, and strengthen their commercial pathways. The collaboration brings Les Mills’ studio-quality workouts directly into the Ultrahuman app, using continuous biomarker data from the Ultrahuman Ring to recommend the right workout based on each user’s individual recovery, sleep, and even cycle phase. This includes the new Ultrahuman Ring PRO, which offers category-leading 15-day battery life and a redesigned heart-rate sensing system for even greater accuracy.

Biomarker-Driven Recommendations
 
When Ultrahuman Ring users first download the Les Mills PowerPlug, they choose a personal fitness goal (Strength, Cardio, Flexibility, or General Fitness), preferred training days per week, and session length. Every recommendation adapts automatically based on recovery, sleep, and cycle phase data from the ring.
 
The integration gives Ultrahuman Ring users access to Les Mills’ diverse catalogue of video workouts — including HIIT, BODYPUMP™, strength, yoga, stretching, and recovery sessions — led by expert Instructors and available on demand.
 
Each day, the home screen shows two to three recommended Les Mills workouts matched to the user’s current status, a Quick Workout shortcut, and access to the Les Mills catalogue to browse by programme, duration, or goal.
 
The recommendation engine maps Ultrahuman’s Dynamic Recovery scores directly to workout intensity and type. Unlike static overnight recovery scores, Ultrahuman’s readings adjust dynamically to movement, non-sleep deep rest (including breathwork), and naps.
 
A well-recovered user with elevated heart rate variability and low resting heart rate might see BODYPUMP™ or BODYCOMBAT™ at the top of their feed. On the other hand, a user with accumulated sleep debt, elevated body temperature, increased resting heart rate, or low heart rate variability would be guided toward yoga, BODYBALANCE™, or a gentle mobility session instead.
 
For women who track their cycle, Les Mills PowerPlug adjusts recommendations based on menstrual phase.
