ABBYY Ascend DevCon Returns to Bengaluru July 22-23 to Spotlight the Next Wave of Enterprise Automation Powered by Document AI and LLMs

Business Wire India

ABBYY today announced that its developer conference (DevCon) is returning to Bengaluru, India, on July 22–23, 2026, marking the fourth edition of the event in the region. Conference attendance has quadrupled during the past four years, bringing developers, architects, engineers, technical leaders, and innovation leaders together to build, learn, and collaborate on the future of enterprise AI and document understanding.

ABBYY Ascend DevCon reflects ABBYY’s long-term commitment to the innovators building next-generation intelligent automation solutions. The event prioritizes hands-on learning, technical collaboration, and community involvement in AI development for the enterprise. Attendees work directly with ABBYY experts and peers to design scalable document automation solutions, combining purpose-built AI with large language models for higher accuracy and token use efficiency, and architect end-to-end ingestion and extraction workflows that hold up in real business environments.

ABBYY Ascend DevCon balances strategy and practice

Day one explores how enterprises move from AI experiments to enterprise-grade, agentic automation and measurable outcomes. Day two shifts to hands-on technical sessions, including ABBYY AI Labs, containerized deployment for scale, and the opportunity to get certified directly with the ABBYY team. Attendees can expect sessions that emphasize trusted, actionable data, governance, and the reliability that business-critical workflows demand.

Also returning this year is the ABBYY Hackathon, popular for providing developers the chance to build a working prototype using ABBYY AI and present it live to an expert judging panel. Each chosen team ships something real, pitches it to the people shaping the technology, and competes for recognition that extends well beyond the event. AI coding tools are welcomed and encouraged, lowering the barrier so builders of every background can participate and contribute. To apply for the hackathon, learn more about the criteria at https://digital.abbyy.com/ascend-2026-devcon-register-your-interest#hackathon.

The conference advances ABBYY’s broader investment in developer growth and open standards. As a founding contributor to the recently formed DocLang consortium working group, ABBYY is helping define shared standards for document understanding that give developers a stronger, more interoperable foundation for trustworthy enterprise AI.

“Developers are the architects of the intelligent enterprise, and our job is to give them the tools, standards, and community they need to build AI that businesses can actually trust,” said Neil Murphy, Chief Revenue Officer at ABBYY. “ABBYY Ascend DevCon is where that happens. We invest in builders because purpose-built AI only delivers measurable value when the people creating it have the right foundation, real-world practice, and a community pushing the work forward.”

“India has become one of ABBYY’s most vibrant innovation communities and plays a pivotal role in advancing our developer ecosystem,” said Alicja Wolanczyk, Senior Director of Global Partnerships and Alliances at ABBYY. “Through a growing network of Centers of Excellence and our expanding ABBYY MVP community, we’re bringing together developers, architects, and technical leaders who share knowledge, accelerate adoption, and help shape the future of enterprise AI.”
