Ranchi, Aug 4: Air India SATS Airport Services Private Limited , India’s airport services management and cargo handling company, has reported a strong year of growth at the Ranchi Air Cargo Terminal, handling 7,992 metric tonnes of cargo in FY26, reflecting a 9percentage Y-o-Y increase. The announcement was made during a trade roadshow organised by the company in the city, bringing together key stakeholders from the region’s air cargo ecosystem. Since commencing operations at the terminal in 2024, AISATS has handled more than 20,000 MT of cargo, highlighting Ranchi’s growing importance as a key air cargo hub in eastern India. The company is targeting a further 10percentage growth in cargo volumes in FY27, driven by increasing demand across multiple sectors.
The roadshow witnessed participation from nearly 70 delegates, including the President of the Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the Airport Director, IXR, representatives from airlines, cargo agents, freight forwarders, trade associations, manufacturers, the Airports Authority of India , Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, and other industry stakeholders. The event served as a platform to discuss Ranchi’s evolving cargo landscape, emerging business opportunities, and the role of robust air cargo infrastructure in supporting regional economic growth.
