New Delhi, 17th July 2023 – Bharat Forge, a Pune-based Indian conglomerate, celebrated World Youth Skills Day by demonstrating its commitment to youth skill development and its contribution to the national Skill India movement. The company recognized the significance of providing skill development opportunities to the youth, enabling them to secure employment or become self-employed.
Through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, Bharat Forge actively supported the national agenda for Skill Development by implementing various initiatives. Bharat Forge established a Centre of Excellence in Baramati, where young individuals were equipped with new-age technology skills, including the Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotics, Data Science, and more. This state-of-the-art facility empowered learners to excel in the digital era and contribute to India’s technological advancement.
In partnership with four Government ITIs, Bharat Forge facilitated skill development through its Incubation Centre. As part of this initiative, the company was in the process of setting up a CNC simulation lab at ITI Khed, providing practical training opportunities and enhancing the skill sets of aspiring professionals.
Bharat Forge also undertook mentorship programs to upskill young farmers and budding engineers. By providing guidance, expertise, and real-world exposure, the company nurtured talents and equipped the youth with necessary skills to drive innovation and contribute to India’s economic growth.
