Fiat Republic and ClearBank partner to support MiCA safeguarding for European digital asset platforms

London, Thurs 27 Aug 2026 – Fiat Republic, the regulated B2B fiat infrastructure for crypto, today announced a channel partnership with ClearBank, the enabler of real-time clearing and embedded banking, that will allow European crypto asset service providers (CASPs) to meet their MiCA safeguarding obligations without leaving the Fiat Republic environment.

Under MiCA, many digital asset companies are required to hold client funds in a segregated account at a licensed credit institution – separate from operational funds. Until now, platforms using Fiat Republic for day-to-day transactional banking and virtual account reconciliation were required to manually sweep client funds to an external bank each evening and return them the following morning, creating significant operational friction and compliance overhead.

The new partnership removes that requirement entirely. ClearBank, authorised by the European Central Bank and supervised by De Nederlandsche Bank, provides the regulated credit institution infrastructure. Fiat Republic acts as channel partner, meaning clients retain their existing technical, commercial and legal relationship with Fiat Republic while gaining direct access to ClearBank-backed safeguarding accounts. This means no multiple contact points for the combined service or daily sweeps.

Adam Bialy, Founder and CEO, Fiat Republic, commented, “MiCA created a compliance requirement that was forcing our clients to maintain two separate banking relationships just to keep operating. That’s unnecessary friction in an already complex regulatory environment. This partnership with ClearBank means our clients can meet their safeguarding obligations through the same infrastructure they already use for transactional banking – and focus on growing their business instead of managing cash movements overnight.”

Tristan Kirchner, CEO of ClearBank Europe, adds,” MiCA has fundamentally changed what European crypto platforms need from their banking partners. For any platform seeking or holding a MiCA licence, regulated safeguarding is now a hard regulatory requirement. Building this solution with Fiat Republic was a natural extension of our existing relationship and ensures their clients can meet those obligations without the operational complexity of managing multiple banking arrangements. We’re pleased to provide the regulated banking infrastructure that helps make that possible.”

The partnership is available immediately to MiCA-licensed digital asset companies and those currently in the application process, subject to eligibility.

This announcement follows Fiat Republic’s launch earlier this year as the first live client on ClearBank’s SEPA Indirect product, which gave clients in France access to virtual IBANs and euro payments under their own BICs.
