Gurugram, June 23: Samsung India will launch the Galaxy M47 5G, the latest addition to its popular Galaxy M series portfolio, on 29 June. Designed for young users, the smartphone offers segment-leading features that make it well-suited for gaming, entertainment, content consumption, multitasking, and everyday use.
The Galaxy M47 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, built on a 4nm architecture. When paired with LPDDR5X RAM, the device delivers fast and smooth performance with reduced stutter and faster task execution. It also improves power efficiency by lowering memory consumption.
The smartphone boasts Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus®+ protection, offering up to 4x better scratch resistance and the ability to withstand drops of up to 2 metres, thereby enhancing durability. The Galaxy M47 5G is equipped with a 6000mAh battery designed to support extended usage on a single charge. It also supports 45W fast charging, enabling users to spend less time connected to a charger.
For gaming enthusiasts, the Galaxy M47 5G features Bypass Charging, which powers the device directly from the adapter during gameplay. This reduces heat generation and minimises performance throttling, ensuring uninterrupted gaming sessions.
The smartphone features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, providing an immersive viewing experience for content consumption. With a 120Hz refresh rate and faster touch response, it delivers smooth scrolling and seamless viewing across apps, videos, and games.
On the camera front, the Galaxy M47 5G features a 50MP OIS triple rear camera setup and a 12MP HDR front camera. The Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) on the rear camera helps capture high-resolution photos and stable videos by reducing blur caused by hand movements and accidental shakes. The HDR front camera delivers rich and vibrant selfies, even in challenging lighting conditions such as bright sunlight or backlit environments. The Galaxy M47 5G will come with the latest One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 out of the box. This software automatically puts unused apps into sleep mode, reducing background battery drain and helping deliver longer battery life. The device will offer six generations of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates.
