The floor opened to early crowds already deep in conversation with exhibitors, corporate procurement teams working the aisles for bulk orders, retailers scouting new categories, and a visible push toward premium and personalised formats over the generic hampers of years past. Live product launches ran through the morning across luxury, tech, décor and sustainable gifting, with category names like Phool, Frido and Xech drawing buyers looking for something outside the usual corporate-gift playbook.

Umang Gupta, Country Head, RX India said

“Gifting in India isn’t a single market anymore, it’s corporate rewards, personal milestones, weddings and festive buying, and each of those has developed its own logic around personalization, sustainability and price point. Industry estimates put India’s corporate gifting spend alone at well over ₹18,000 crore now, and categories like gift cards and vouchers, which account for roughly a quarter of all corporate gifts given, are growing even faster than that. What used to be a fragmented, largely unorganised trade is now attracting serious manufacturers and D2C brands who need a single place to meet buyers across all of those categories at once. That’s the gap an event like Gifts India Expo fills, it compresses months of sourcing into three days, and lets a brand that’s strong in one segment discover demand in three others.”

Sandeep Kumar, Event Director, Gifts India Expo said

“What you’re seeing on the floor this year is buyers stitching together very different sourcing lists in one visit, a corporate rewards order, a wedding trousseau line, a retail shelf pick, sometimes all in the same afternoon. That’s why we’ve pulled together 250-plus exhibitors and 700-plus brands, from established names like Kenneth Cole and Honeywell to newer players like Phool and Frido, so nobody has to choose between categories. That’s the kind of marketplace we set out to build, one where the breadth on the floor matches the breadth of what buyers actually need.”

The expo continues through 22 August at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, with the remaining two days open to registered trade visitors.
