National, 20th January 2025: The Thalassemia & Sickle Cell Society (TSCS) recently participated in the National Conference organized by the Federation of Blood Donor Organizations of India (FBDOI) and the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), held in Ahmedabad. The conference brought together delegates from across India, highlighting important discussions on blood donation and related health challenges.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Saya Abdelmalik, President of the International Federation of Blood Donors, who delivered the keynote address. Mr. Abdelmalik, from Algeria, emphasized the global importance of blood donation and encouraged further collaboration across borders.
During the conference, Dr. Chandrakant Agarwal, President – Thalassemia & Sickle Cell Society, was honored by the Indian Red Cross Society Ahmedabad for his organization’s outstanding contributions to improving the lives of individuals affected by Thalassemia. Dr. Chandrakant Agarwal’s leadership and the society’s tireless efforts in raising awareness, providing care, and offering support to thalassemia patients.
