Bhubaneswar: The historic Rabindra Mandap in Bhubaneswar witnessed a grand and heartfelt homage to the legacy of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji. Organized by Nrutyadham, the event brought together a diverse audience, including dignitaries, artists, intellectuals, and the public, to celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of the beloved leader.
The festival was reflecting the multifaceted personality of Shri Vajpayee Ji. The first day commenced with an insightful Kabi Sammilani (Poets’ Meet), where eminent poets recited verses echoing the spirit of Atal Ji’s own poetic soul. This was followed by a stimulating Debate and Panel Discussion on the theme “Atal Bihari Vajpayee: The Maker of Modern India.” The discussion, featuring senior journalists and politicians, delved into his visionary policies and enduring impact on the nation’s development.
In the 1st evening Atalnama exhibition inaugurated by Dr. Arabinda Dhali , former Member of Legislative assembly, Odisha. Among other dignitaries Shri Akshaya Kumar Sahoo, Resident Editor & Special Correspondent, Nrutya Guru, Padmashree, Nrutyana Odissi Dance, Durga Charan Ranbir, Nrutya Bidushi, Pratibha Panda were present over there. The inaugural ceremony featured the release of a souvenir and a short film on Shri Vajpayee’s life and legacy by Nrutyadham. Cultural program on Vajpayee holds audience spelling bound. Odishi dancer led by Dr. Subhashree Pattnaik of Nrutyadham and Nrutayana presented a captivating cultural performance chronically the life and the works of former prime minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The evening began with mangalacharan by Dr Subhashree.
