New Delhi, 30th May 2023 KLH Hyderabad Campus of KL Deemed to be University KLH Hyderabad Campus is making significant strides in empowering villages and transforming lives through its Smart Village Revolution initiatives. To understand the need for focused attention, a dedicated team of 140 students and faculty members visited 3 villages of Hyderabad, Telangana to address crucial needs. A small quick survey was also conducted by the Department of Students Activity Center who visited three villages in Telangana, namely Qutubuddinguda, Reddipally, and Appojiguda, as part of their efforts to identify the needs and conduct camps to address the required skilling areas.

The camp commenced with a thorough evaluation of the children’s English communication skills, revealing a significant need for improvement. In response, tailored English-speaking sessions were conducted, employing effective teaching methodologies. The children exhibited remarkable enthusiasm and progress, demonstrating a substantial improvement in their speaking skills and showcasing a keen interest in mastering the English language.

Addressing another critical aspect, the camp focused on enhancing health awareness among the girls of the villages. Engaging directly with the girls, a series of interactive sessions were conducted, delving into various aspects of their health. It was observed that a lack of knowledge about physical and hormonal changes during adolescence was prevalent among them. Consequently, comprehensive information about menstruation was provided, emphasizing the importance of adopting appropriate safety measures during this time.

Furthermore, the camp included career guidance sessions to support the aspirations of the children. Valuable guidance was provided, highlighting the necessary steps and shedding light on the potential challenges they may encounter along the way.

Pardha Saradhi Varma, Vice Chancellor of KL Deemed to be University, emphasized the significance of the Smart Village Revolution initiatives, stating, “We believe in actively contributing to the noble cause of transforming our villages into smart communities. The Board of NIIT Limited recently announced that its Corporate Learning Business undertaking has been transferred to NIIT Learning Systems Limited (NLSL) upon the Composite Scheme of Arrangement becoming effective May 24, 2023. Going forward, NIIT Limited will continue to focus on and operate the Skills & Careers business, whereas NLSL would operate the Corporate Learning Business.

NIIT Limited (NSE: NIITLTD), a leading skills & talent development corporation, today reported its financial results for the Financial Year ending March 31, 2023. During the year the company recorded consolidated Net Revenue of Rs. 341.3 Cr, up 36% YoY. EBITDA was Rs. 1 Cr, and EBITDA Margin stood at 0.3%. Profit After Tax of Rs 3.2 Cr reflects EPS of Rs 0.2. During the quarter, the company recorded consolidated Net Revenue of Rs. 60 Cr.

The results were taken on record at the meeting of the Board of Directors held on May 29, 2023.

During the year revenue from the early career segment of NIIT Ltd. grew 15% YoY and contributed 54% to total revenue. The working professional segment grew 73% YoY contributing to the balance 46%. StackRoute and TpaaS grew 17% YoY.

NIIT acquired an additional 20% equity shareholding in RPS Consulting during the year. This takes the total shareholding to 90%. (It may be noted NIIT acquired 70% equity shareholding of RPS on October 1, 2021).

NIIT Learning Systems Limited (NLSL), a leading provider of managed training services, today reported its financial results for the Financial Year ended March 31, 2023. During the year the company recorded consolidated Net Revenue of Rs. 1361.8 Cr, up 20% YoY. EBITDA was Rs. 315.4 Cr, up 6% YoY. EBITDA Margin stood at 23.2%. Profit After Tax was Rs. 192.2 Cr and the EPS stood at Rs. 14.3.

During the quarter, the company recorded consolidated Net Revenue of Rs. 385.7 Cr, up 30% YoY and PAT of Rs 53.9 Cr, up 17% QoQ. EBITDA was recorded at Rs. 94.8 Cr, up 30% YoY. EBITDA Margin stood at 24.6%, up 70 bps QoQ.

The results were taken on record at the meeting of the Board of Directors held on May 29, 2023.

NLSL added 12 global Managed Training Services (MTS) contracts during the year, did 2 contract expansions and 13 contract extensions. The company ended the year with 80 MTS customers and revenue visibility of USD 363 Mn.

During the year the company acquired 100% membership interest in St. Charles Consulting Group LLC (StC) during. Headquartered in St. Charles, Illinois, StC is a leading provider of consulting, design, and implementation solutions for strategic learning programs to professional services firms and Fortune 500 companies.

New Delhi, 30th May 2023: Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA) unveils an architectural model of its new building. Designed by renowned Ghanaian-British architect Sir David Adjaye in collaboration with S. Ghosh & Associates as local architect of record, it is set to become India’s largest cultural centre when it opens in Delhi in 2026. This celebration coincides with the breaking ground of the museum on site in New Delhi.

Surrounding the model as the centrepiece, the exhibition includes works from the museum’s collection by Tyeb Mehta (1925-2009), Zarina (1937-2020) and Nasreen Mohamedi (1937-1990) , which spans more than a century. This is accompanied by Touch AIR (2023), a film by contemporary filmmaker Amit Dutta.

KNMA was established in 2010 by one of India’s eminent art collectors, Kiran Nadar, as a pioneering private museum exhibiting modern and contemporary works from India and the subcontinent. It currently has branches in New Delhi and Noida. The new location, covering over 100,000 square metres, will be located on the National Highway (NH8) in Delhi, near the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

The museum’s collection of over 10,000 modern and contemporary works draw on the region’s rich cultural history. The new KNMA will host changing exhibitions, permanent displays, and performances as an international cultural destination for visual arts, music, dance, and theatre and enable far more of the collection to be seen at any one time.

The exhibition responds and explores the theme of ‘Mnemonic’ through image, text, architecture (model) and the moving image. It amplifies through their co-existence the relationship between ‘museum and memory’, suspending the movement of time between the past and the present, while alluding to the theme of Partition, (of India and Pakistan in 1947) the line that ruptured a unified sense of place and being.

Tyeb Mehta’s imagery in restructuring the pictorial space amplifies the use of the diagonal line that splinters and mends while expressing the interiority of unspoken pain and historical burden. Zarina’s poetic ruminations on home, memory and displacement resonate with the theme of separation and belonging from a feminine and nomadic vantage point. The film by Amit Dutta, invokes Nasreen Mohamedi’s personal notes and her unique singular vision, drawing upon the aesthetics of the bare line, its metaphysical journey eliminating physical borders/barriers to traverse spaces between the known and unknown.

With the new architecture in place, we address how the question of memory and history in the post-Partition subcontinent presented the crucial sites for artistic inquiry, unravelling the mechanics and structures of remembrance along the fault lines of time and space.”

The architecture model was also unveiled earlier today as part of the Curator’s Special Projects at the 18th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, curated by Lesley Lokko. The 18th International Architecture Exhibition, titled The Laboratory of the Future, runs from 20 May to 26 November 2023 at the Giardini, Arsenale, and Forte Marghera; with pre-opening on 18 and 19 May 2023.
