Paytm Payments Bank enables FASTag payments for parking at popular spots in Noida

India’s homegrown Paytm Payments Bank Limited (PPBL), announced that it now enables convenient payments for car parking at the underground parking at Noida — Sector 16 using FASTag. The Bank has partnered with Noida Development Authority and authorized MG Infra Solutions, to facilitate digital payments for parking at the prominent underground Film City parking site.

In association with MG infra solutions, the Bank will also soon enable FASTag payments at the Sector 18 multi-level car parking along with Sector 38A multi-level car parking in Noida while also providing its transit wallet card solution for providing ease of parking payments throughout the city.

With this partnership, people can pay the parking fees digitally, without worrying about the cash payment. Paytm FASTag works on radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology, allowing users to drive through the FASTag lanes without making them stop and tender cash to pay at parkings, saving both fuel and time. Paytm Payments Bank is the largest issuer of FASTags and one of the largest acquirers of toll and parking plazas in India.

Paytm FASTag has gained popularity for its instant activation and superior customer care support. Another benefit is that users do not require a separate prepaid account or login credentials as all Paytm FASTags are linked seamlessly to the popular Paytm Wallet. We have already gone live at other prominent parking lots such as Pune Airport, AIIMS, Patna Airport, DLF City Centre, Star Mall, South Point Mall, Pacific Malls, among others.

Garuda Indonesia and Singapore Airlines Propose Joint Venture Agreement to Deepen Commercial Partnership

New Delhi,30th May 2023Garuda Indonesia (GA) and Singapore Airlines (SIA) today announced plans to enter into a joint venture arrangement that would deepen the cooperation between the two carriers, increase passenger capacity between Singapore and Indonesia, and offer customers more travel options between the two countries.

Subject to regulatory approvals, the proposed joint venture will cover routes between Singapore and Denpasar, Jakarta, and Surabaya. This will expand on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that the two airlines signed in November 2021.

It would allow Garuda Indonesia and Singapore Airlines to potentially coordinate schedules between Singapore and Indonesia, offering customers more seamless flight connectivity between the two countries and beyond. The carriers will also explore the implementation of new initiatives, including joint fare products and an alignment of corporate programmes to enhance the value proposition to customers.

New Delhi, 30th May 2023 KLH Hyderabad Campus of KL Deemed to be University KLH Hyderabad Campus is making significant strides in empowering villages and transforming lives through its Smart Village Revolution initiatives. To understand the need for focused attention, a dedicated team of 140 students and faculty members visited 3 villages of Hyderabad, Telangana to address crucial needs. A small quick survey was also conducted by the Department of Students Activity Center who visited three villages in Telangana, namely Qutubuddinguda, Reddipally, and Appojiguda, as part of their efforts to identify the needs and conduct camps to address the required skilling areas.

The camp commenced with a thorough evaluation of the children’s English communication skills, revealing a significant need for improvement. In response, tailored English-speaking sessions were conducted, employing effective teaching methodologies. The children exhibited remarkable enthusiasm and progress, demonstrating a substantial improvement in their speaking skills and showcasing a keen interest in mastering the English language.

Addressing another critical aspect, the camp focused on enhancing health awareness among the girls of the villages. Engaging directly with the girls, a series of interactive sessions were conducted, delving into various aspects of their health. It was observed that a lack of knowledge about physical and hormonal changes during adolescence was prevalent among them. Consequently, comprehensive information about menstruation was provided, emphasizing the importance of adopting appropriate safety measures during this time.

Furthermore, the camp included career guidance sessions to support the aspirations of the children. Valuable guidance was provided, highlighting the necessary steps and shedding light on the potential challenges they may encounter along the way.

Dr. G. Pardha Saradhi Varma, Vice Chancellor of KL Deemed to be University, emphasized the significance of the Smart Village Revolution initiatives, stating, “We believe in actively contributing to the noble cause of transforming our villages into smart communities. Social responsibility is ingrained in our institution’s ethos, and we encourage our students to actively participate in such initiatives. The week-long program in Hyderabad is a testament to our commitment. Through social internship program at the University, students invest 80 to 120 hours in social work.
