The EO Gurgaon Hosts the “Relive the 2011 World Cup Glory” in the presence of Cricket Legends

The EO Gurgaon Host

New Delhi,18th October 2023 | Extending their portfolio of high-profile events, Entrepreneurs Organization (Gurgaon Chapter), conducted, the cricket meets entrepreneurship-themed event titled, “Relive the 2011 World Cup Glory”. Members of EO Gurgaon witnessed an anecdotal retelling of the events of the 2011 ICC Men’s World Cup, from the winning team’s men themselves – Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, and Harbhajan Singh. These key architects of India’s 2011 victory were warmly welcomed by the EO Gurgaon.

The event opened with an opening keynote by Aditya Tulsan, Learning Co-Chair of EO Gurgaon. He addressed the full house, with personal anecdotes of his match day superstitions and rituals, while extending gratitude to the event’s sponsors – Motilal Oswal and Ideal Insurance.

Next, Mr. Vipul Jain, President of EO Gurgaon, addressed how this event was unlike any other EO event, as the agenda went beyond addressing entrepreneurs, growth, and economy, and leaned into the passionate energy of the 2023 ICC Men’s World Cup, that has resurfaced cricket fervor, across demographics in that nation. The talk moderator – Riddhima Pathak, a renowned sports presenter – soon welcomed the Veterans taking the stage.

Virender Sehwag, the swashbuckling batter, is known for his psychologically dismantling game and untamed precision. Yet he credited his bat for scoring four 4’s against Pakistan, sharing how his drive stemmed from an off-handed comment he overheard.

Commenting on World Cup preparations, the triple-centurial batter explained how they had to start since 2008, to feel completely ready by 2011. For this, they played all series and test cricket as knockout matches, while helping each other to overcome personal challenges.

On being asked if he felt any pressure to convert his 90 runs to a century, Virender Sehwag shared how he approached the opportunity statistically. He said if he scored one run in each ball then there were 10 chances for him to lose his wicket. Instead, he tried to close the gap with the statistically fit option of scoring a century in the next two balls with a 4 and a 6.

Among jokes and other crowd-pulling anecdotes, Sehwag also took the time to appreciate Yuvraaj Singh’s contribution to the 2011 World Cup, saying, that without ‘Yuvi’, India would not have made it to the Semi-Finals.

In the span of a decade, Yuvraj Singh’s narrative traversed a spectrum of profound emotions—from the euphoric pinnacle of his World Cup triumph to the grueling depths of his diagnosis. Sharing profound dressing room interactions, Singh mentioned he felt such gratitude playing next to Sachin Tendulkar in the 2011 World Cup, that he soon started to emulate Sachin’s left pad first routine.

Commenting on the obscure nature of preparations, Yuvraj Singh, said how everyone treats your life as a spectator sport, which can dismantle any inexperienced person. He shared that this is why he tried to keep his mindset unscathed, even after bad performances.

Yuvraaj Singh was also asked about his journey with cancer and what gave him strength during that difficult time. Answer this, he shared how he had begun to experience pressing symptoms during the World Cup preparations, but he was undiagnosed then. The World Cup demanded full attention and grit, so he persevered.

Post diagnosis, he leaned into the support of his loved ones and started his foundation – YuviCan, to help underprivileged kids access medical care for their debilitating health conditions. Yuvraj Singh also urged the EO Members in the audience to contribute and support to his foundation.

Reflecting on his illustrious career, Harbhajan Singh reminisced about the intensity of India-Pakistan matches, highlighting the Mohali match where he took 2 crucial wickets. He revealed that the pressure to perform in homeland matches was unparalleled, emphasizing that the pressure for tickets sometimes exceeded the pressure to take wickets on the pitch.

When questioned about his pre-match superstitions, Harbhajan candidly shared his experiences, stating that he had experimented with different rituals, ultimately leaving the outcome to a higher power. Addressing a difficult loss against South Africa, Singh revealed that it was a topic that nobody wished to discuss immediately after the match. He emphasized the resilience required to bounce back after such defeats, a sentiment echoed by many professional athletes.

In response to a business-related query, Singh drew parallels between the challenges faced in personal and professional life. He stated that cricketers, like entrepreneurs, experience the cyclical nature of success and failure. He jokingly mentioned how business orders can be realized again soon, but the chance at a world cup comes only once in 4 years.

Commenting on the resounding success of the event, Mr. Vipul Jain, President of EO Gurgaon, said, “We wanted to congregate all our members to lean into the cricket fever in the air. , It is an atypical EO event, where the binding theme was essentially – fun and reliving the 2011 Victory, and we wanted to call the champions themselves to give us that inside edge. Whenever there is a story, there is a learning, and this is how this event was aligned to our theme of “Learn. Act. Inspire.” It’s not just a physical sport. The mental dexterity that goes behind their game is parallel with an entrepreneur’s journey. We must train ourselves, and be mentally prepared for failures, let downs. Yuvraj’s story of winning the World Cup, getting diagnosed immediately after, and then returning to field is as motivating as it is shocking. As entrepreneurs, we get to the pinnacle of success, we fail, we stand up again. So, it is always great to learn from such sources.”

The event was drawn to a conclusion by felicitating Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, and Yuvraj Singh. with paintings done by Autistic Children, along with a donation made in the Cricketer’s names. The EO members were photographed with the cricket legends, marking the successful culmination of the one-of-a-kind event, that was aligned to the annual theme of – “Learn. Act. Inspire.”

ManageEngine Rounds off Its Endpoint Protection Platform with the Addition of Next Generation Antivirus Capability

ManageEngine Rounds

Cairo, Egypt 18th October 2023 — ManageEngine, the enterprise IT management division of Zoho Corporation, today announced the addition of the next-generation antivirus (NGAV) capability in its unified endpoint management (UEM) solution, Endpoint Central, positioning it as an endpoint protection platform (EPP).

In today’s cyber environment, an NGAV is crucial to address the loopholes left undetected by traditional antivirus solutions. Endpoint Central’s NGAV leverages a deep learning model implemented with neural networks in combination with behavioral detection to detect both known and unknown threats, including those with previously unseen attack patterns. It offers edge-AI-based, real-time protection and offline capabilities by carrying out monitoring, analyses, and remediation workflows locally on the device.

“Endpoints have been one of the most utilised threat vectors by cybercriminals for quite some time now,” said Mathivanan Venkatachalam, vice president of ManageEngine. “Over the last decade, we have been consistently adding endpoint security capabilities like vulnerability assessment and remediation, browser security, endpoint privilege management, data leakage prevention and anti-ransomware, helping organizations minimize the attack surface. With the release of the NGAV capability, we are adding AI-based malware protection to Endpoint Central, rounding it off as an EPP, thereby providing customers with a holistic cyberdefence approach.”

Benefits of Endpoint Central’s NGAV

Endpoint Central uses a single, lightweight agent for its wide range of high-stakes capabilities like device life cycle management, remote troubleshooting, user experience management, and endpoint security.

Apart from reducing organizations’ IT footprints, this unified approach offers:

  • A wide scope for remediation policies: Security teams can apply necessary patches, quarantine affected devices from the internet and intranet, force login credential resets, revert devices to their IT-approved baseline versions, and remove vulnerable applications.
  • Seamless incident investigation: Built-in remote troubleshooting and system management capabilities offer instant and thorough incident investigation of quarantined devices.
  • Feedback loops for bolstering the security posture: Security policies can be continuously updated based on threats detected by the NGAV engine, constantly enhancing the cybersecurity posture.

ManageEngine has been in the IT management market for over 20 years and has built a strong foundation of IT management and security capabilities from the ground up. The NGAV addition to Endpoint Central is a move to strengthen endpoint security within the company’s comprehensive portfolio of cybersecurity solutions.

“We aim to offer an AI-powered, unified, end-to-end platform for the digital enterprise in which cyber resilience is of paramount importance,” added Venkatachalam. “The platform will enable customers to devise and implement a comprehensive security strategy by building workflows across multiple ManageEngine security offerings, automating threat detection, threat responses and incident investigation.”
