Chennai, 21st May 2024: Airbus Helicopters and Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), the Government of India’s principal financial institution for promoting, financing, and developing the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) sector, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for financing the purchase of Airbus’ helicopters in India.

The MoU was signed by Rahul Priyadarshi, Chief General Manager, SIDBI, and Sunny Guglani, Head of Airbus Helicopters, India and South Asia. Under the MoU, both Airbus Helicopters and SIDBI will identify potential civil helicopter operators in India who are interested in financing solutions for purchasing Airbus helicopters. Airbus will provide the technical and helicopter industry knowledge to SIDBI who will evaluate these prospects and finance them exclusively for Airbus.

Speaking on the occasion, Rahul Priyadarshi, Chief General Manager, SIDBI, said, “This a new area for financing to helicopter operators by SIDBI and is expected to open new avenues for financing MSMEs related to this segment.”

“The MoU with SIDBI opens a new chapter in making civil helicopters more accessible to operators in India, which will further position these rotary wing aircraft as a critical tool for nation building. Kolkata, 21st May 2024: The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has announced that the first ever Bengal Pro T 20 League will go underway from June 11, 2024.

The inaugural edition of the Bengal Pro T20 League will see 8 Teams fighting in both men’s and women’s categories. The eight teams are based on cities and districts of West Bengal, which are- Kolkata, Howrah, Diamond Harbour, Medinipur, Siliguri, Murshidabad, Rarh (a region involving Bardhaman & Birbhum districts) and Malda.

Rashmi Group owns the Medinipur franchise – “Rashmi Medinipur Wizards”, The Lux Industries & Shyam Steel Consortium owns Kolkata Royal Tigers, Adamas owns the team Howrah Warriors, while the others claim the remaining teams.

The Auction process for all the franchisees to select the players both for the men’s & women’s versions was scheduled in a very professional way conceptualized on the lines of the IPL format and was completed recently amongst much fanfare and excitement.

21st May 2024: The Aletheia DPSI MUN Society of DPS Indirapuram hosted the two-day seventh edition of DPSI Model United Nations (MUN)’24, themed “Ad Astra Per Aspera”- To the stars through Hardship. The inaugural ceremony was held on May 18th, 2024, featuring a song by the School Choir and a Pre-conference video. Mr. Nikhil Devra, Secretary General of DPSI MUN’24, opened the session. Over 500 delegates participated in discussions, debates, and deliberations on global issues.

The delegates represented the five communities: UNGA, UNSC, UNHRC, UNCSW, and AISM.
