Hyderabad, May 10th, 2024….108 Jains who fasted by eating alternative day for the past one year broke their fasting by consuming sugar cane juice today at Dadawadi Jain Temple at Karwan.

It had more women than men. Some of them have fasted for 35 years.

The ceremony is called Akshay Tritiya Parna Mahotsav. It kicked off yesterday and concluded today.

Earlier all these 208 Jain’s drawn from across India, including 32 from the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad were ceremoniously taken in 25 well-decorated chariots in a km-long procession from Saibaba Temple in Gudi Malkapur to Dadawadi Jain Temple Karawan.

Vimlabhai Kochar from Nashik has been fasting by eating alternative day for the past 35 years. Kantha Bhai has been fasting for 16 years. Ugam Bhai Gandhi is an 81-year-old woman who has been fasting for the past 24 years. Kishore Golechs from Secunderabad who is into the cycling business has been fasting for 24 years. Sangeetha Kothari, a 52 years old woman has been fasting for the past 7 years.

Sunitha Vinod, 52 from Nashik has done first time. Krishi Bandari, a 19-year-old girl from Hyderabad has done fasting a second time. Says, that fasting has taught her to exercise control on anything we do excessively. It has also taught me a very good discipline in life.

Mahendra Lunwath from Hyderabad who has been fasting for 20 years said it is mind control over food. I decided in mind and I never had any problem in fasting. He urged youngsters and first-timers to start fasting at least once a week. In an era where food is available at the click of a mouse from food delivery platforms such as Swiggy and Zomato, fasting is the only way forward to exercise control over food. We are what we eat. VST Tillers Tractors Ltd Net profit surge by 32 Percent to Rs 121.51 Cr for the year ended March 31st, 2024

Bengaluru, 9th May 2024: VST Tillers Tractors Limited (VST), India’s leading farm equipment manufacturer, today announced their annual financial results for the year ended March 31, 2024.

For the financial year 2024, VST achieved the highest-ever net profit of Rs 121.51 Cr, a surge by 32% compared to Rs 92.36 Cr of the previous year. Companies’ Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation & amortization (EBITDA) rose by 21% to Rs 184.77 Cr compared to Rs 152.16 Cr during the previous year. Revenue from operations, saw a degrowth of 3.8% from Rs 1006.43 Cr to Rs 968.05 Cr. The company was able to maintain healthy growth in profitability and cash generation despite the adverse monsoon during the last season in the key markets.

For the quarter ended March 31st, 2024, VST reported a turnover of Rs. 273.44 crores. The company’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation & amortization (EBITDA) for the quarter stood at Rs 50.22 Cr (17.69%) as against Rs 59.78 Cr (18.23%) in the same quarter of the previous year. The net profit margin for the quarter improved to 12.37% from 12.25% of Q4 FY23.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India conducts a successful Road Safety Awareness Campaign in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow, 10th May 2023: Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India reaffirms its dedication to road safety with another impactful awareness campaign in the city of Lucknow. On the grounds of Bal Nikunj Inter College, HMSI achieved one of its milestones where it saw an active participation of more than 2200 school students and staff members. The road safety campaign featured interactive activities such as a safety riding theory session, danger prediction training, road safety quiz, helmet awareness, and Riding Trainer session that kept the participants engaged throughout the campaign.

HMSI believes that Safety of every individual is a topmost priority. In line with this commitment, HSMI has been actively conducting road safety awareness campaigns across various regions of the country, reaching out to people with vital information and guidance on safe driving practices. Lucknow is the latest stop in this initiative, where HMSI aims to empower the community with essential knowledge and skills to navigate.

HMSI extends its gratitude to the authorities of Bal Nikunj Inter College for their support in organizing this important initiative. Together, we can make a significant difference in creating safer road environments and reducing incidents of accidents and injuries.

SCIENTIFICALLY DEVISED LEARNING MODULE: Honda’s skilled instructors set the foundation with theory sessions on road signs & markings, driver’s duties on the road, riding gear & posture explanation, and safe riding etiquette.

1. PRACTICAL LEARNING: A special training activity on Honda’s virtual riding simulator was executed for all to experience over 100 possible dangers on the road before actual riding.

2. INTERACTIVE SESSION: Participants were given danger prediction training known as Kiken Yosoku Training (KYT) which helps enhance rider/driver’s sensitivity to danger and ensures safe driving behavior on roads.

3. EXISTING DRIVERS HONING RIDING SKILLS: Students & school staff members who are already existing riders tested & honed their riding skills through slow riding activities and riding on narrow planks.
