Kolkata, 30th June 2023: Surinder Films, one of the leading production houses in the Bengali film industry, today celebrated the successful run of their blockbuster Poila Baisakh release, “Love Marriage”. Directed by Premendu Bikash Chaki, the film, today, completed its 75 days run in theaters, captivating audiences, and receiving widespread acclaim. To commemorate this significant milestone, the cast and crew members of “Love Marriage” gathered at the Biowonder for a celebration. The event was marked by a cake-cutting, where the team expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming support received from fans, critics, and the audiences at large.
The film’s success at the box office has been a testament to its engaging storyline with comic relief, brilliant performances, brilliant music and exceptional direction by Premendu Bikash Chaki. “Love Marriage” tells the heartwarming story of Dipu and Shaon played by Ankush-Oindrila, a couple deeply in love, who must overcome numerous obstacles to be together. Dipu (played by Ankush) estranged from his father (played by Shri Ranjit Mallick) and grandmother (played by Sohag Sen) finds himself unable to marry Shaon (played by Oindrila Sen) due to his father’s strong opposition to love marriages. However, through a series of comical events, Dipu manages to convince his father, with the assistance of his uncle, to visit Shaon’s home. To their surprise, Dipu’s father discovers that Shaon’s mother is his ex-girlfriend, leading to a flurry of hilarious confusion and consequences.
