The Walkathon, which started at the MGM Cancer Institute on Nelson Manickam Road and culminated at Thiru Vi Ka Park in Shenoy Nagar, witnessed an overwhelming response with over 300 registrations. The event was inaugurated with great pomp and enthusiasm by the esteemed presence of Dr. M A Raja, Senior Consultant- Medical Oncology, Director- Oncology Services and Chairman the medical Advisory Board.

The primary objective of “Walk in Pink @ Namma Chennai” was to raise awareness about the risk factors associated with breast cancer and to empower women to take charge of their breast health through regular self-examinations and screenings. The event aimed to foster a sense of communal responsibility and dispel misconceptions surrounding breast cancer.

In addition to the walk itself, the participants, representing a diverse cross-section of society, including cancer survivors, students, doctors, healthcare professionals, and dedicated volunteers, enjoyed an array of engaging activities. These activities were designed to uplift and inspire cancer survivors, including a captivating fashion show, invigorating Zumba sessions, and other surprise elements to enhance their physical and mental well-being.

30th October 2023, Hyderabad: Music lovers gathered eagerly at The Hyderabad Public School in Begumpet to witness a magical ghazal concert by the renowned maestro Talat Aziz. The grand event presented by Jagirdars College & The Hyderabad Public School Old Students Association was part of the school’s year-long centenary celebrations and was made more special with the ghazal rendition from its stellar alumnus Mr. Talat Aziz.

The ghazal evening was filled with nostalgia and celebrations. It united individuals through their shared love for Ghazals and created lasting memories for everyone present.

For Talat Aziz Maestro, performing at his alma mater was more than just a typical event. It was a homecoming, a return to his roots. His joy and excitement were evident as he prepared to pour his heart into his performance for the school that had played a significant role in nurturing and shaping his life. On performing at HPS he said, “It is wonderful to be back to the place that shaped me as a person and educated me in multiple ways. It was as if I was here only yesterday filled with the joys of schooling under the watchful eyes of my dear teachers. I have been coming back here, and every visit is worth cherishing. It is great to see Hyderabad grow the way it has by leaps and bounds, and very nice to see HPS celebrating its hundred years. I wish you more success in the future.” He shared anecdotes from his school days giving the audience a glimpse into the artist’s formative years at HPS which added a personal touch to the evening.

The open-air theater, with a capacity of 2,000 enthusiastic audiences, was transformed into a realm of melodies and emotions for this musical spectacle. Talat Aziz began by singing some of his timeless Ghazals, each note infused with nostalgia. His voice resonated through the hearts of the audience, leaving them spellbound.

From the classics to his own compositions, the maestro had everyone swaying to his tunes. It was an evening that transcended time and transported the audience to a world of poetic beauty.

Noida,26th October 2023 The under-17 boys’ Taekwondo team from The Champion Zone Noida emerged victorious at the 19th CBSE Cluster North Zone 1 Taekwondo Championship held from October 19 to October 22, 2024. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the dedication, talent, and coaching prowess of the team, led by Coach Shekhar Kumar Jha.

Mumbai/ Bengaluru, India –21st October 2023 The prestigious Merck Foundation of Germany, dedicated to advancing global health and wellbeing through science and technology, has officially designated the Clinical Embryology Centre at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal (KMC Manipal) as its “Centre of Excellence”.

The Merck Foundation is passionately committed to enhancing healthcare access in underserved communities. Their flagship initiative, ‘Merck More Than a Mother’, created in partnership with several African governments, is a testament to this commitment. It addresses the pivotal need for improved fertility care in regions that lack adequate resources.

Since 2017, the Clinical Embryology centre at KMC Manipal has been a crucial global collaborator in these capacity-building projects. Through the joint efforts of the Merck Foundation and KMC Manipal, approximately 100 clinicians and scientists spanning 27 countries have undergone top-tier embryology training in Manipal. These trained professionals are now at the forefront of infertility care in their respective nations.

The recognition was conferred during the Merck-Africa-Asia-luminary conference on October 18, 2023, in Mumbai. A new partnership between Macquarie Business School (MQBS) and NSE Academy Limited (NAL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd (NSE), will deliver world-class credentials to finance professionals and students in India.

Under this collaboration, NAL will offer certificate courses, developed by Macquarie Business School (MQBS), which will deliver credit points and entitle pathway study in Australia under the Australian Qualifications Framework.

The first certificate program, Certificate in Corporate Treasury Program (CCTP), will launch later this month through NSE Knowledge Hub, an AI-powered learning experience platform. Students who successfully complete the program will receive ten credit points towards postgraduate coursework study.
