His hits also include ‘Bad’, ‘My Best Life’ and ‘Power’. With 10 Beatport #1s, DJ Mag’s Best Live Act award, his own Dharma Worldwide label and the influential Sounds of KSHMR packs, KSHMR continues to shape global music and headline the world’s biggest stages.

A long-standing favourite with fans in India, KSHMR’s association with Sunburn runs deep, also creating the Sunburn Festival 2024 anthem with OTIOT ft. KEL titled ‘Khoye Yahaan’. He has played a defining role in shaping the evolution of electronic music culture in India. His shows are known for their immersive storytelling, emotional depth and cinematic scale, transforming stages into experiences that go far beyond music.

Talking about the Sunburn Holi Weekend, KSHMR commented,

“India has shaped my music in more ways than people realise, so coming for Sunburn Holi Weekend feels especially full-circle. Holi is a festival that celebrates colour, rhythm and shared emotion – the same elements that run through my sound. Taking this experience across five cities allows me to express that connection more deeply and I’m excited to celebrate this with fans through my music.”

Karan Singh, CEO, Sunburn, added,

“Over the years, Sunburn Holi Weekend has evolved into a marker on the cultural calendar for music lovers across India – a time when audiences come together to celebrate sound, colour and shared experiences. 2026 is no different and bringing KSHMR into this moment feels especially organic. It is these thoughtfully curated moments, where music, culture and emotion intersect, that continue to define what Sunburn stands for.”

As the founder of Dharma Worldwide, a sub-label under Spinnin’ Records, he has not only built a distinctive sonic universe for himself but has also championed a new generation of artists worldwide. The closed-door trailer screening was held at SSR Globe Cinema, where journalists from Kolkata were invited for an exclusive viewing.

Following the screening, the film’s team engaged in an in-depth interaction with the media at Polo Floatel Hotel.

On this occasion, the makers described ASSI as a film that goes beyond being just an issue-based story. It is an experience that continues to resonate with the audience even after the film ends. A fast-paced investigative thriller that unfolds with strong dramatic elements, ASSI keeps viewers engaged till the very end—without preaching, but by posing powerful questions.

Speaking about their respective roles and the film’s sensitive treatment, Manoj Pahwa and Kumud Mishra emphasized that ASSI does not sensationalize incidents. Instead, it explores society, mindsets, and the psychological impact such events leave on people’s lives. The film draws its strength from its compelling characters, courtroom drama, and gripping narrative pace.

The title ASSI is derived from the harsh reality of approximately 80 assault-related FIRs registered in the country every day, giving the film a deep and urgent relevance to contemporary times.

ASSI, releasing on 20 February, has been deliberately scheduled for a February release to reach college and university youth and to initiate an important conversation among them. As the film’s team stated, this is not just a film to be watched—it is a film to be shared, discussed, and reflected upon.

The film ASSI will release in cinemas across the country on 20 February.

Pushpa Impossible Highlights Why a Married Daughter’s Maternal Home Is Always Hers

Sony SAB’s Pushpa Impossible sparks a conversation on why the maternal home is a married daughter’s forever home

Sony SAB’s Pushpa Impossible is winning hearts with its inspiring story and relatable characters. The show beautifully captures the everyday triumphs and challenges of its lead protagonist, Pushpa (Karuna Pandey), making it one of the most loved family entertainers on television. A recent sequence highlights the bond between Pushpa and her daughter Rashi (Akshaya Hindalkar), reinforcing the idea that no matter how turbulent life gets, a mother’s home remains a daughter’s safest haven.

WhatsApp Image 2026-02-04 at 3.00.14 PM

The show beautifully captures a poignant moment between Pushpa and Rashi, showcasing the unconditional warmth and protection and reassurance that only a mother can provide. Pushpa demystifies a belief that still exists in many Indian households that once a daughter is married, her right to return to her maternal home or seek comfort there somehow diminishes. Challenging this mindset head-on, Pushpa firmly states that she is not one of those parents who forget their daughter once she steps into a new household. For Pushpa, Rashi remains her daughter first, regardless of marital status. Her responsibility as a mother does not end at the wedding; instead, it evolves. She continues to worry about Rashi’s well-being, the environment she lives in, and whether she is being treated with the love, dignity, and respect she deserves. Pushpa makes it clear that the home Rashi becomes a part of must embrace her as their own, offering the same care and understanding that she has always received.

With such socially relevant storytelling, Pushpa Impossible continues to deliver meaningful messages while staying rooted in relatable emotions, reminding audiences that a mother’s home is, and will always be, a daughter’s forever space.

Speaking about the experience, Karuna Pandey shared,

“The idea of a daughter being called ‘paraya dhan’ has always troubled me deeply. I believe a daughter is the true source of prosperity, strength, and happiness in her parents’ home, yet she is made to feel like she doesn’t belong. As an Indian woman, I always wanted to raise this voice, and through Pushpa, I finally got that chance. I am deeply grateful to the writers, directors, and the entire team for trusting me with a role that is progressive and has the potential to influence change in society.”

Tune in to watch Pushpa Impossible, every Monday to Saturday at 9:30 PM, only on Sony SAB

DIVINE, Gurinder Gill Drop ‘Late Knights’ Music Video

DIVINE And Gurinder Gill Release ‘Late Knights’ Music Video, One Of The Most Anticipated Desi Hip-Hop And Punjabi Collaborations Of The Year

Feb 5: Indian hip-hop heavyweight DIVINE has released the official music video for ‘Late Knights’, featuring leading Punjabi-Canadian rapper-singer Gurinder Gill. The track appears on the Indian multi-platinum rapper’s 16-track fifth studio album, ‘Walking On Water’ and marks one of the project’s most anticipated collaborations.

Produced by Zzorawar and Arsh Heer, ‘Late Knights’ is anchored by a dark orchestral sample that sets a somber tone, reflecting themes of success, loyalty and the persistence of insincerity that often accompanies rise and visibility. The record brings together two distinct voices from Mumbai and the Punjabi diaspora, unified by a shared narrative of survival and self-belief.

The accompanying music video, directed by Dimple Kotecha and Shaan Sachdeva, adopts a stark visual language defined by high-contrast lighting and minimal stylization. Through close-ups and wide frames, the video emphasizes the artists’ presence and the solidarity of their inner circles, reinforcing the track’s central idea: resistance to false affection and envy masked as admiration. The recurring refrain, “We don’t melt,” becomes a visual and lyrical motif for emotional resilience.

DIVINE’s verse reflects on a decade-long journey from the streets of Mumbai to nationwide dominance, addressing the erosion of relationships and the role of money as a measure of authenticity. Gurinder Gill follows with a verse rooted in his Punjabi-Canadian perspective, drawing attention to rivalries hidden beneath politeness and celebration. His references to white kurtas and Bombay settings underscore a cultural assertion of belonging without compromise.

DIVINE states, “‘Late Knights’ comes from a very real place. As you grow, you start seeing people differently—who’s genuine, who’s around for the moment. The song is about staying grounded through that and holding on to the ones who’ve been solid from day one. Gurinder brought that same honesty and strength to the record, which made the collaboration feel natural.”

Released via Gully Gang, Walking On Water has been noted for its direct engagement with uncomfortable truths and its expansive sonic palette. The album features contributions from Hanumankind, Riar Saab, MC Altaf and Sammohit, and incorporates samples from iconic Bollywood composers A.R. Rahman and R.D. Burman.

With ‘Late Knights’, DIVINE continues to reinforce his position as one of Indian hip-hop’s defining voices, blending regional influences with a contemporary global sound. The official music video is now available on YouTube and all major digital streaming platforms.
