Mumbai: Amazon MGM Studios has unveiled the official trailer, poster and first-look stills for its upcoming psychological action thriller The Runner, starring Gal Gadot and Damian Lewis. The film will premiere globally on Prime Video on September 2, 2026.
Directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Kevin Macdonald, The Runner promises a gripping blend of suspense, action and emotional drama set against the fast-paced backdrop of London.
The newly released trailer offers a glimpse into a relentless race against time as Maia Marten, played by Gal Gadot, is thrust into an unimaginable nightmare. A successful corporate lawyer known for always staying one step ahead, Maia’s world is turned upside down when her young son is kidnapped during her routine morning run.
The kidnappers issue chilling instructions: she must keep moving, obey every command and tell no one. If she stops, her son dies. Forced to navigate London’s crowded streets and underground tunnels while following a series of increasingly dangerous orders, Maia embarks on a desperate mission where every second counts and every decision could prove fatal.
Described as a pulse-pounding psychological thriller, The Runner showcases Gal Gadot in an intense role that highlights a mother’s determination and resilience under extreme pressure.
