Celebrating the women of Thumri, Dadra, Ghazal, and other Hindustani semi-classical forms, O Gaanewali, written and Conceptualised by Avanti Patel is an intimate mehfil, baithak style! The audience is taken along a musical journey with some interesting facts, stories, and anecdotes about the songstresses of yesteryear. The show will be performed by young classical musicians, all receiving Taaleem from respected gurus in their fields, focusing largely on the musicality of these evolving forms.
