Renault India and BLS E-Services sign MoU to Boost Mobility in Rural India

New Delhi, 20 February 2024: Renault India, the European car brand in India and BLS E-Services, a subsidiary of BLS International, has formalised a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance the availability and accessibility of Renault’s new 2024 range of Kwid, Triber and Kiger – in rural India.

This partnership aims to boost the reach and accessibility of new 2024 range, stimulating product experience among consumers in rural market. Through this collaboration, Renault India will leverage BLS E-Services’ widespread network of approx.100,000 touchpoints, B2C, CSPs, and VLEs, along with 1,016 digital stores, to drive awareness and facilitate sales of Renault cars in rural and semi-urban regions across the country. Customers opting for BLS E-Services to book cars will enjoy seamless car booking experience, Finance options and access to hassle-free test drive facilities.

Magic Bus India Foundation marks 25 years of transforming generations

Mumbai, 15th February 2024: Magic Bus India Foundation, a leading non-profit organisation in the education and skilling space, commemorated its 25th Foundation Day, marking a significant milestone in its journey. 2023 has been a landmark year for Magic Bus India Foundation, marked by a plethora of achievements spanning its programmes, technology, and innovation. Magic Bus signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with six state governments to implement life skills education in government schools. Another MoU was established with the Management & Entrepreneurship and Professional Skills Council (MEPSC) to empower youth from marginalised communities through Skilling and Livelihood Programmes. The organisation elevated its operations by seamlessly integrating a pioneering initiative in the NGO sector—the Fraud Prevention and Detection (FPD) team for programme monitoring, the Partner Connect Portal to provide funders with real-time insights into their funding, and introduced Future X, an AI-based platform mapping the end-to-end lifecycle management of individuals in their Livelihood Programme.

In the same year, Magic Bus’ pedagogy received recognition from HundrED for ‘Teacher Professional Development,’ securing a place among the top 100 impactful and scalable educational innovations worldwide. The organisation was also honoured with the Mother Teresa Memorial Award for Social Justice from the Harmony Foundation. Additionally, Magic Bus received the Great Place to Work (GPTW) certification for three consecutive years.

Indian Navy, GITAM sign MoU for education and innovation

National, 9 February 2024: GITAM (Deemed to be University), the Indian Navy, and the Navy Welfare & Wellness Association (NWWA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate the higher education of Indian Navy personnel’s wards.

Under this agreement, GITAM will provide higher education to four wards of Indian Navy personnel at a subsidised fee structure at its institutions, including for medical education. Additionally, GITAM will collaborate on promoting a culture of innovation and research in futuristic combat technologies to enhance the Indian Navy’s fighting capabilities.

GITAM, driven by a profound sense of social responsibility, is steadfast in its commitment to advancing the nation through transformative education and pioneering contributions to societal progress.

Bengaluru, 08 February 2024: In a significant move set to redefine the traditional boundaries of humanities education, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Bengaluru, and its distinguished Department of Liberal Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (DLHS), announce a transformative partnership with LabourNet Services India Pvt. Ltd., under their CLARE – Centre for LabourNet’s Academic Research Endeavour initiative.


The official ceremony for this pioneering collaboration took place on February 6th, 2024 (Tuesday) at MAHE, Bengaluru Campus, where Dr. Shilpa Kalyan, Head of DLHS, and Dr. Gayathri Vasudevan, Chairperson, LabourNet Services India Pvt. Ltd. signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Mr. Siddharth Srinivasan, Consultant, LabourNet Services India Pvt. Ltd., the faculty members and student representatives of DLHS were also witness to the beginning of this momentous collaboration.

Centre for LabourNet’s Academic Research Endeavour (CLARE), is LabourNet’s knowledge wing that offers experiential learning and hands-on training to university students to understand subject problems and implement solutions. LabourNet’s Capstone Project is a landmark initiative by CLARE to build lasting relationships between academia and the industry in real time. It is a programme that enables students to gain valuable insights from the world of work and apply their learning to solving current business challenges.

Extending Education Beyond Boundaries: Key Highlights of the Collaboration:

Engaging with Real World Problems: Students of DLHS, MAHE, Bengaluru will embark on the challenge of solving real-world problems in a workplace setting. LabourNet extends its support by providing a platform for experiential learning through practice-based live projects that promise a transformative educational experience.

Promoting Interdisciplinary Application: This collaboration facilitates a fruitful engagement between academia and the development sector. Going beyond theoretical learning, it enables interdisciplinary thinking and practice, thereby equipping graduates to test out their innovative ideas and strategies.

Mentorship by Seasoned Professionals: LabourNet with its pool of experts provides intensive one-on-one mentorship for students throughout the process of completing their capstone projects. From designing data collection tools and formulating policy suggestions to crafting media campaigns, the mentors will handhold students besides offering masterclasses in essential job-related skills.

The collaboration will facilitate capstone projects, a mandatory requirement in the curriculum, for postgraduate students from 2023-24 and for undergraduate students from 2024-25 onwards. These projects, custom-designed for students of humanities and social sciences, will give students a chance to work on high-impact interventions in a purpose-led and performance-driven organizational setting.
