The National Family Health Survey (2020-21) highlights that over 30% of women in India aged 15 to 24 do not use hygienic methods of protection during their menstrual cycles. An alarming estimate suggests that each year, 20% of girls in India discontinue their education due to a lack of access to quality menstrual products. Additionally, 40% of girls are reported to miss school days during their periods, a situation exacerbated by the diminished accessibility of menstrual products in lower-income families.

Even in urban areas like Mumbai, the gap in awareness and access to menstrual hygiene remains stark. The challenge is compounded by the cost implications of single-use sanitary napkins, which, despite being a necessity, become a significant recurring expenditure. Many young girls either make do with inadequate alternatives or use single-use sanitary pads less frequently than recommended, adversely affecting their health.

Through Project Lajja, Sunteck Realty has distributed reusable cloth pads kits to each girl, offering a cost-efficient and eco-friendly approach to managing menstrual health and hygiene. Greenwood High Students Excel in ICSE & ISC 2024 results

Bangalore, 7th May 2024 Taking another great step forward, the students of Greenwood High have brought laurels to the school in the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Class X & Indian School Certificate (ISC) Class XII exam, the results of which were announced today. Overall, 236 students appeared for ICSE, and 143 appeared for ISC.

In ICSE, the topper from the school ADRITA TRIPATHI scored 99.80%. Overall, 194 students in ICSE scored 90% & above.

In ISC, the topper from the school is MYTHILI IYER with 98.75%. Overall, 65 students in ISC scored 90% & above.

Mumbai, 7th May 2024: Physics Wallah Institute of Innovation (PW IOI), a 4-year residential program in technology and management, has announced a scholarship worth Rs 3 Crores, which will be disbursed to meritorious students through the PW Common Entrance Exam. The scholarship is divided into three categories, which also include the economically weaker sections and female students. The first round of the CEE has successfully been conducted on May 5, while the second round is scheduled for May 26; and subsequently on June 23 and July 28. Until now, over 10,000 students have shown interest, out of which, over 5000 students have already registered for this exam. Following the conclusion of the examination rounds, the first batch of the academic year 2024 will commence in the last week of August 2024.

The admission is for both the School Of Technology (SOT) and the School Of Management (SOM). The CEE is specifically designed for students who have completed Class 12th education. Applicants who have achieved outstanding results in exams such as JEE, NEET, CUET, and IPMAT are eligible for direct admissions, bypassing the CEE.
